"But, with Leila in this state..-"
"Okay, how about this? You come over and settle this matter and as soon it's over, you rush back to the hospital to be with Leila? Please, Raymond? Please?" Tavia begged.
"Okay, I hold you to that!" Raymond agreed reluctantly.
* That night, at the Yeung's mansion *
"Master Raymond, you're here! Master, Missy and your parents are already waiting for you. Come in," Ying Jie opened the door and welcomed Raymond.
"Oh okay, thank you Ying Jie,"
"Raymond! You're here!" Tavia squealed and dragged him to a corner.
"Look at that silly girl. Told you that Ron was just a three-minute toy for her," Mrs Yeung smirked at her husband.
"Oh yea?" Mr Yeung answered.
"Ahem, hehe, I wonder what's tonight dinner about, in-laws?" Mrs Lam asked.
"I don't know. Tavia organised it," Mr Yeung shrugged his shoulders.
Tavia looked behind her and saw that her parents were busy chatting with Raymond's parents and decided it was safe to talk.
"You love Leila right?"
"Need you ask anymore?! And you love Ron I expect," Raymond replied exasperated.
"I don't want to be your wife,"
"And I don't want to your husband either,"
"So, that's why I came up with a splendid idea!"
"What idea? It had better be good!" Raymond eyed Tavia.
"Lei's announce to your parents and mine that, we want to annul the wedding," Tavia's eyes sparkled.
That's the great idea? If that works, we won't be in this fix today!"
"I mean, maybe this time round it works cuz our parents are here together,"
"Give it a shot then!" Raymond agreed.
Raymond and Tavia gave it other a high-5 and Tavia cleared her throat.
"Uh, I think we can start dinner now. We have something important to announce,"
"See, she's too eager to marry Raymond and can't wait for that 3 months. Maybe they want the wedding earlier," Mrs Yeung whispered to her husband.
"Yea, like real," Mr Yeung said, sensing something fishy about the whole thing.
"Ray, how rude can you get? Get some food for Tavia!" Mr Lam hinted his son.
"Uh, uncle, there's no need to. I can take myself," Tavia smiled and shot a you-say-it glance at Raymond.
Raymond's POV: What? Me? Okay, FINE! For Leila! Humph!
"Eh, ahem!" Raymond stood up nervously, followed by Tavia. "We have something to annouce,"
Their parents looked at Raymond and Tavia in anticipation.
"We.." Raymond took a deep breathe. "We want to annul the wedding," Raymond finished in a serious tone.
"WHAT!? Do you know what you are talking Raymond?" Mr Lam slammed down his chopsticks.
"Yea, stop fooling around you two! The hotel for the banquet has been booked and the invitation cards are ready to be sent out. And now you are telling me you want to cancel the wedding?" Mr Yeung added, utterly disappointed in his daughter and future son-in-law.
"Yes dad! We found our true love. And we want to be with them. I found Ron,"
"And I found Leila," Raymond continued.
"No way am I going to have that sickly girl as my daughter-in-law! You stop your nonsense Ray!" Mrs Lam scolded.
"And I'm not going to marry my darling to that nobody! Tavia, you better remember what you promised me, or Ron will bear the consequences," Mr Yeung gave a strict warning to Tavia.
Tavia was about to talk back when Raymond stopped her. "Don't wreck the whole thing. Let me settle it,"
"You all wanted us to carry on with the wedding whether we like it or not, and now we are telling you, we want to cancel the wedding whether you all like it or not! Keep the hotel for our wedding, BUT it will be mine and Leila, Tavia and Ron's."
Raymond held Tavia's hands and attempted to bring her out.
"STOP THERE! Tavia, once you step out of this house, Ron will..-"
Tavia let go of Raymond's grip. "Help me apologize to Ron. I will stay. Or dad will hurt Ron," Tavia whispered to Raymond.
"I'll stay! You let Raymond go!"
"Let him go so that he can go find that Leila girl? I don't agree! Ray, you are coming home with me now!" Mr Lam fumed.
Raymond's POV: Nothing's going to break me and Leila up!
Raymond glared at his dad and dashed out of the mansion, speeding off in his car...
