Mr and Mrs Lam. The DNA results are out.¡± Dr Kang said nervously, having a feeling that he was betraying his good friend.
So, what¡¯s the conclusion?¡± Mr Lam asked in a don¡¯t-waste-my-time tone.
The report shows that..Mr and Mrs Lam¡¯s blood type doesn¡¯t at all match the blood type of Raymond¡¯s and the DNA shows that,¡± Dr Kang took a deep breath before continuing. ¡°The DNA report shows that Mr and Mrs Lam have no blood relationship with Raymond,¡±
Mrs Lam put her hand onto her temple which was throbbing with pain and sobbed on her husband¡¯s shoulder.
So, which means, Raymond is not our biological son and you are trying to say that our biological son is somewhere outside and we¡¯ve raised other people¡¯s child for the past 20 over years?¡± Mr Lam questioned.

Okay, thank you Dr Kang. Please keep this from Raymond. We¡¯ll take our leave if there¡¯s nothing else,¡± Mr Lam stood up, holding his wife.
Sure. Uh..¡± Dr Kang continued.

Well, yes. Er, no. Well, I mean tell Raymond that don¡¯t get too close to Leila. I mean, as both of them had just had an operation, they should be resting instead of dating,¡±
Oh. Okay. Bye,¡± Mr Lam said, raising his brow.
Bye,¡± Dr Kang sighed when the couple had walked out of his room. ¡°Should I tell them?¡± Dr Kang glanced at Leila¡¯s and Raymond¡¯s report and wondered if he should tell them about the startling secret he had found out...
"What should we do now? Are we really going to keep this from Raymond forever? But, my heart aches whenever I think of our real son suffering outside," Mrs Lam's tears fell like rain.
"I'll handle everything. Don't cry anymore, or Raymond will get suspicious when he sees your red eyes,"
Mrs Lam dried her eyes. "So, is the wedding still going on? I mean, it will be like deceiving the Yeungs and we know perfectly well that Raymond and Tavia have no feelings for each other,"
"Let the wedding go on. After all, we raised Raymond up. We are his biological parents to him,"
Mr Lam pushed open the ward's door.
"Ray, feeling better today?" Mr Lam asked with concern.
"Yup dad. Don't worry. I'll be fine and fit in a few days time. Hehe. Mum, are you crying?"
"Nothing can escape your observant eyes. Yea, I've been crying..Cuz..Cuz there was this touching Korean show and..-"
"Is it?" Raymond asked in disbelief.
"Yea, but it just ended," Mrs Lam lied.
"When you're well, the wedding will carry on," Mr Lam reminded his son.
"But why? I told you that..-"
"No buts," Mr Lam said firmly.
Dr Kang walked into the ward.
"Hi Raymond! You're doing fine, and will be able to be discharged in a few days' time,"
"See? I told you that," Raymond showed off to his parents.
"Yah yah yah, big doctor!" Mrs Lam sighed.
Dr Kang smiled. "A funny sign I see today. I don't see you sticking to Leila today like superglue,"
"Mind what you're saying, she's the one who's sticking to ME!"
Mr Lam frowned at Raymond.
"Er, well, she said she wanted to check up some colleges for further studies," Raymond acted as if he didn't see that frown.
"Oh okay. Seems like Ron and Tavia are missing..Erm, oh yah, Raymond, have you applied for leave, for erm, your wedding?" Dr Kang changed the subject.
"Uh, not yet," Raymond groaned silently in his heart.
Raymond's POV: Ahhh, Kang Cheng Xi!! You're gonna get it from me! Talking about Leila and my wedding at this point of time!
Raymond squinted his eyes at Dr Kang.
"Uh, if there's nothing else, I'll check on the other patients,"
"Yea, you should," Raymond remarked, signalling Dr Kang to go out.

"Account, law, design...Leila mumbled to herself as she looked through the thick sets of paper.
She wasn't looking where she was walking as she got out of the lift and bumped into someone. The papers flew in all directions.
"Sorry, miss. Let me help you," The person said as he bent down collecting all the papers.
"Uh, thanks," Leila said as the person passed her her papers. "Dr Kang?!'
"Leila? You came to visit Raymond?"
"Yup,"
"Heard that you are going to sign up for some courses,"
Leila nodded her head. "Still deciding which course to take,"
"I see. I do have contacts in the schools, so if you need help, feel free to come to me. By the way, Raymond's parents are in the ward as well," Dr Kang pointed to Raymond's ward.
"Oh okay. Thanks. Bye," Leila waved and walked to the ward.
"Hi, uncle, auntie," Leila greeted as soon as she opened the door.
"Woah, do you have telescope eyes or X-ray eyes huh? Know my parents are in here," Raymond joked.
Leila rolled her eyes. "Uh, sadly, no. I met Dr Kang outside and he told me auntie and uncle are inside with you,"
"I see," Raymond nodded his head. "So, which course are you taking?"
"I don't know," Leila sat down uncomfortably as she had seen Raymond's parents fixing their gaze on her.
"Ray, the photo shoot will be re-scheduled, and we'll tell you the date soon," Mr Lam cleared his throat.
Leila looked at Raymond and sulked.

Tavia tiptoed into Ron's department, holding a box of cakes in her hand.
"Miss..-" Rain stood up when saw Tavia walking in but stopped what she was saying when Tavia put her finger on her lips.
Rain got the hint and went back to her seat.
"Rain, can you help me get the file that I've passed to you just now please? Thanks," Ron said, his eyes fixed on the computer screen.
Tavia took the file from Rain's table and mouthed, "Let me do it,"
Tavia walked to Ron's desk and passed him the file.
"Thanks," Ron took the file, his fingers typing away.
Tavia put her hands on Ron's shoulder and whispered in his ears.
"It's tea-break time!"
Ron turned back in surprise. "Tavia! Why are you here? I thought you are being grounded?"
"My dad called me just now and said I'm free to go anywhere. He didn't say I couldn't come and see you, so I came," Tavia winked. "Guys, take 5! I've brought some cakes, it's tea-break time!" Tavia clapped her hands.
"Thank you Miss Yeung!" The staff stopped whatever they were doing.
Rain reached out for a chocolate cake when Tavia stopped her. "Get another one please? This is Ron's favourite,"
"Okay," Rain said, hiding her unsatisfaction as she see Tavia and Ron acting intimately.
Rain's POV: Humph. It's unfair! I also like chocolate cake. Only bought one for Ron. Humph! Ron don't even glance at me for once for all this time he's here, to be exact, he wasn't looking at we girls at all! Miss Yeung just came and he got head over heels for her. Wah, Miss Yeung is even feeding him now! Ron, go die! I don't like you! Who cares if you don't like me. Lots of guys queue up just to date me. Humph!
Rain sulked and shuffled back to her desk angrily.
"Is it nice?" Tavia asked Ron.
"Ya, anything is nice as long as you buy it. But, I think I can hold and eat by myself,"
"Huh? Why? You don't like me feeding you?"
"I like, but keep that for after work. They are staring and laughing at us," Ron whispered.
"They are?" Tavia asked, looking around her, only to see the staff trying hard to contain their smiles and giggles.
"Oh..Okay," Tavia smiled foolishly and handed the cake to Ron.
"Aiyo, how old are you huh? See, there's crumbs by your mouth," Tavia laughed, taking out a piece of tissue and wiped for Ron.
"Oh yea? Why don't you say that you didn't feed me well?" Ron joked.
The staff glanced at one another, shivering.
"You sure you don't want any? It's delicious," Ron tempted Tavia.
Tavia twitched her nose. "I'm scared of getting fat. I'm happy looking at you eating,"
Michelle, one of the staff, flirted with her colleague, Bosco, who was standing beside her.
"Aww, I want to eat your cake,"
"You want? Okay. You have a bite and I'll have a bite," Bosco got her hint and played along.
"Ooh, delicious!"
The rest of the staff burst out in laughter and Ron took his pen and acted as if he wanted to aim it at Michelle.
"Oh, I'm so scared," Michelle gripped Bosco. "Ron, he's bullying me!"
The laughter became even more merrier and Ron and Tavia stood there embarrassed.
"See, they are laughing at us," Ron mumbled to Tavia.
"Obviously," Tavia learnt Ron's trademark and rolled her eyes.

well, not to worry about Rain, cuz I add her in just to spice things up a little..hee..raymond and leila are...ahhh....what's gonna happen to them huh? so is Tavia still marrying Raymond? Aww...=( comments~ (though i know alot of you are gonna kill me soon....)
