"Is it very hot and stuffy in that gown?" Ron asked.
"What do you think? The heat is killing me and people are staring at me," Tavia pouted. "But everything's worth it if I can be with you," Tavia flashed Ron her sweet smile.
"Good girl. Come, I'll bring you to buy some casual wear," Ron held Tavia's hand and stepped into a clothes shop.
"It's so comfortable now! It's cooling! I didn't know that roadside stuff would be so nice!"
"You've been a rich girl for so many years, there's a lot of things that you don't know," Ron laughed.
"You!" Tavia hit Ron. "Anyway, where are we going to stay tonight? We can't go back to my house or your house. We'll get caught,"
"Hm, my flat? I don't think they will ambush there right?"
"Yea, smart guy!" Tavia nodded happily in agreement.
Ron and Tavia walked through the night market. Eating and playing and joking as they went along.
"This place is so fun!" Tavia giggled.
"There's a lot of other fun places. I'll bring you there if you want," Ron suggested.
"You said that!"
Ron and Tavia were walking on their way back to Ron's flat when all of a sudden, something hard and cold was pressed against Ron's and Tavia's neck.
"Into the alley!" The men ordered.
Ron and Tavia moved their way into the alley, not daring to make a false move.
"You just want money right? We'll give you the money. Leave us alone!" Ron yelled.
"Yea, not only money. We still want...her!" One of the robbers moved closer to Tavia.
"You leave her alone!"
"Grab him!" The robber ordered his gang.
The other robbers followed the instruction and held Ron back.
"Hehehe, beauty! He's your boyfriend?" The robber laughed evilly and pushed Tavia onto the broken sacks lying on the ground.
"Don't come near me! My dad will never let you off!" Tavia screamed kicking the robber.
"Ooh, you've got character, I like it!" The robber inched forward.
"I said leave her alone!" Ron yelled, using all his might to push down the robbers near him and tried to save Tavia.
"Trying to act hero eh? Hero? Over my dead body!" The robber kicked Ron and slapped him in the face. "Pathetic. Can't even save the girl you love and you call yourself a man?"
Ron glared at the robber.
"Babe, here I come!" The robber moved to Tavia's side.
"I'll do anything as long as you leave her alone!" Ron screamed.
"Ron..." Tavia mumbled.
"Do anything eh?"
Ron nodded his head.
"Crawl over here!" The robber signalled.
Tavia shook her head. Ron took a deep breath and crawled slowly to Tavia's side.
The robber put his leg on Ron's stomach. "Let me tell you. You're not a hero, but a dog under me!"
The gang of robbers laughed loudly.
"You stay here. I'll have my fun with her first before throwing her to my brothers," The robber said smugly to Ron.
"I told you to leave her alone! I'll do anything!"
"You promise?"
"No Ron!" Tavia yelled.
The robber gave a loud smack on Tavia's face. "Shut up you!" The robber pointed to a a knife that his buddy was holding. "Bring that over,"
Tavia widened her eyes. "Ron.."
"I'll be fine,"
The robber passed Ron the knife. "Hold it!" He smiled lopsidedly before continuing. "If you can pierce this knife through," The robber glances at Ron's lower body part. "Through there, I'll let you and her off,"
Tavia shook her head. "Ron, don't!"
Ron sat there dazed.
Ron's POV: Ron! Tavia is in danger now, you gotta save her! But, it..*Clenches fist*
"I'll do it!" Ron blurted.
"Then do it! But no tricks, or she will...Hehehe!" The robber smirked.
"Sorry Tavia!" Ron said and raised the knife. The knife gleamed in the dark alley.
"NO!" Tavia's voice echoed in the alley.
Ron was throwing the knife when a swift movement kicked the knife away from Ron's hand, making the knife drop to the ground with a loud clang.
Tavia closed her eyes in fear.
Clapping could be heard. Figures were walking into the alley.
"What happened?" Tavia asked. "Ron! Are you okay?"
"I'm okay, someone kicked the knife out of my hand. You okay?" Ron hugged Tavia.
The figures stopped walking and the gang of robbers went towards them.
"Dad?" Tavia squinted her eyes, trying to see who was it under the dim light.
"Ron Ng, I've never expected you to do this for Tavia. For Tavia, you're ready to give up your manhood and your life. Sorry Tavia, I was too stubborn in the past. I didn't think of your feelings,
"Dad!" Tavia ran up to him and hugged him. "Dad! You were playing a trick on us?! How can you do that! Ron nearly...-"
"Wa! So fast stand up for him huh?" Eh, Ron, I'm handing Tavia to you. Treat her well and don't ever bully her, or next time it will be for real,"
"No problem, uncle!" Ron smiled and hugged Tavia.
"Ron! How did you tame this Tavia huh? Sigh, now she wants you don't want me," Mr Yeung grumbled.
"DAD!" Tavia rolled her eyes and held Ron's and her dad's hand. "I want both of you, and Mum! It stinks here, can we go?"
Mr Yeung and Ron broke out in laughter and hand in hand, they walked out of the dim alley, leaving all the unhappy memories behind them..
