Raymond woke up sleepily, rubbing his eyes.
"Leila? Leila, where are you?" Raymond looked frantically around her.
Raymond felt as if he stepped on something. He bent down and picked up a piece of paper lying on the sand. Just then, his cellphone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Raymond? Where are you now? Leila's boarding the plane! Hurry to the airport!" Tavia said.
Raymond glanced at his watch.
"It's only 7am now, I thought her flight was at 10?"
"10 your head! 10? She's boarding the plane at 7.45! Hurry up!"
Raymond held the paper tightly in his hand and ran out to hail a cab.
"Aiya! Sickening! Where's all the cabs when we need it?" Raymond cursed when all the cabs just drove past him.
"Airport!" Raymond told the taxi-driver when he finally managed to flag a cab. "Hurry up please, I'm in a hurry,"
"I'll try my best, sir,"
Raymond's POV: 7.20am. Leila, wait for me!
Raymond read the piece of letter in his hand:
Raymond,
I'm sorry I lied to you about the time I'm flying off. I know I won't bear to leave if I'm going to see you again. Really thanks for all you did for me for the past years. I really appreciate it. Remember your promise to me, be an outstanding doctor. Please let go of our love and look for your Cinderella. Although we can't be a couple, we can still be the best siblings right? Don't worry, I'll take care of myself in Singapore. Take care and keep in touch.
Your sis always, Leila
A drop of tear fell onto the paper, smudging some of the words..

"Take care of yourself and give us a call when you've reached there okay?" Ron reminded Leila.
"I will, naggy! Don't say I never warn you, you better take good care of Tavia, or I'll sever ties with you!" Leila replied.
Ron smiled. "She ah, I chase her away she also won't go away! Too bad, who ask me to be so nice and handsome,"
Tavia made a face at Ron.
"Haha, when did you become as thick-skinned as Raymond?" Leila laughed, her smile vanishing upon mentioning Raymond.
"You're sure you don't want to see him before you take off?" Tavia asked.
Leila shook her head. "I don't want to lose control of myself again. I've told him everything,"
Ron hugged Leila. "Take care. I'll send money to you every month,"
Leila rolled her eyes. "Hey hey Mr Ron Ng! I'm your sister, not your mistress! Can you phrase your sentence nicely?"
The trio broke out in laughter.
"Will all passengers boarding HK 689, please go to the check-point now.The plane will be taking off in half an hour," The PA system announced.
"Okay, I gotta go. Kor, Tavia, take care. Send me your invitation card when you two are getting married. I will fly back no matter what,"
Ron pinched Leila's nose. "You take care too,"
Tavia gave Leila another goodbye hug. "Bye. Are you really sure you don't want to..-"
"Uh, the plane won't wait. I'll go now. Bye," Leila said hastily and walked towards the departure hall.

"Uh, can you please go faster? I'm really in a hurry," Raymond hurried the taxi-driver.
"It's not I don't want to move faster. There's a huge traffic jam here. The airport's two streets away, if you can't wait, go there yourself,"
"Fine!" Raymond threw the cab fare to the taxi-driver and ran as fast as he could to the airport.
Raymond's POV: Leila, wait for me!

Leial turned back and waved to Ron and Tavia, her eyes scanning for a familiar figure.
Leila's POV: He's not going to be here. Give it up. You two can't be together. He's your brother. Go to Singapore and start afresh.
Leila held back her tears and was about to enter the departure hall when she heard someone calling her.
"Raymond!" Leila turned back immediately and saw Raymond running towards her.
"Lucky he's in time," Tavia heaved a sigh of relief.
"Leila, I..I.." Raymond stared at Leila but the words seem to be stuck in his throat when he saw Leila staring at her.
"Yes kor? I'm sorry I lied to you,"
"What did you just call me?" Raymond asked, not believing what he heard.
"Kor. Forget about me, find your Cinderella. Promise?" Leila extended her pinkie.
"Bon voyage," Raymond said, hooking fingers with Leila reluctantly.
"Bye," Leila said, trying hard to stop her tears from falling down.
"Bye," Raymond hugged Leila for the last time.
Tavia sniffed when she saw this scene.
"Silly girl. Don't cry," Ron patted Tavia's head.
Leila broke away from Raymond, throwing all her feelings for Raymond aside and entered the hall. She turned back for the last time, and waved to them through the glass window.
A line of tears rolled down Raymond's cheek.
Leila gripped her bag tightly and boarded the plane, crying as the plane flew higher and higher into the air..
