Raymond was driving aimlessly in the neighbourhood till he saw a familiar figure.
"Leila? It can't be her. Yup, it's really Leila. What is she doing here late in the night? LEILA!!"
Leila turned, shocked to hear her name. "Dr Lam?"
"Leila, what are you doing here? Where are you going? Need a lift?"
"Uh..uh..I came down to buy something cuz kor was asleep, so I didn't want to wake him up." Leila glanced at her watch, getting a bit uncomfortable.
"Really? Leila, is there anything wrong? Hop in first." Raymond beckoned her. Leila had no choice but to get into the car.
Silence settled.
"Are you meeting someone? You keep looking at your watch."
"Uh, no. Just making sure my watch is not spoilt."
"Leila, I'm a doctor. I studied psychology before. Something's bothering you, I'm sure. Anything I can help?"
Leila could not control her emotions any longer and started crying.
"What..Hush, don't cry. Wait people think I bully you. Hush, tell me what happened." Raymond passed her a tissue.
Leila told everything to Raymond, including the fact that she kept it from Ron.
"What the..That scum! Bastard! Leila, you shouldn't have decided to go. Don't worry, I will help you. We'll go to the hotel now. No buts!" Raymond said agitatedly, gripping his steering wheel and sped through the traffic.
Raymond's POV : How dare that Lincoln do this to Leila. I knew he was up to no good! Leila, I won't let anything happen to you. Cuz I love you too much and can't afford to lose you. Though I don't know how you feel about me, but I just wanna make you be the happiest woman on the world.
