Housemate [ COMPLETE ]

Chapter 1

The Meeting

"Miss, are you ready?" A worker shouts from outside the house.

"Yes, we are coming! Just give us 1 minute!" You answer back as you lightly pat on the box that you just sealed with tape. You then look around your house, which is plain with only two boxes placed on the floor.

“So are these the last boxes?” TaeYeon asks as she finished taping the other box.

“Y-Yes. That’s the last one.” you answer.

“You are lucky enough to be able to rent a good apartment near the city. Moreover, it’s cheap. How lucky can you be?”

“Hey, If I am THAT lucky, then at least my dad would call me now and say that I don’t have to move out because of something.”

“You wish.” TaeYeon sticks her tongue out. She stands up and pick up the two boxes, bring it outside where the move-out truck are.


You grab the last box in your house, and as you stand up, you stare at your house. You try to imagine how the house was before with furnitures in it.
"I think it's time for me to let you go now." You mumble.

"Hey, what are you doing? Let's go! It's 12." TaeYeon peeks from the door to call you. You quickly run outside and put the box into the truck. Then you jump into the truck along with TaeYeon. Then the driver starts the engine and make its way to your new house.

During the journey, you feel uncomfortable since you hated to be seated in the middle, between TaeYeon and the driver. Meanwhile TaeYeon calmly resting her hand near the window and look at the view. Then TaeYeon’s attention diverted by a red Ferrari car drove by a handsome guy, and a beautiful girl beside him.
“Whoaa~~” She mumbles. “Maia, look at those people.” She nudges you few times.

“what..?” Your eyes follow where TaeYeon is pointing at.

“There are actually these kind of people in the world.. Rich handsome guy dating a beautiful poor girl…?” TaeYeon says. You aren’t interested in them, so you just look back to the front and leave TaeYeon who is still amazed by their presence. Soon, the light turns green and both cars start to move again.

Few minutes later, TaeYeon nudges you again.
“Is it just me or that car also going on the same direction as us? It will be good if they are actually staying in the same apartment as yours~”

“That’s like one in a million chance. I’ll give you $100 if that comes true.” You say to her.

Soon, the truck stop. As you step out of the truck, you walk towards the interphone and dial the room number 159.

*beep..*

*beep..*

There’s no answer. You keep on trying until about 5 times, but no one answer it.
“Oi, can we try to dial our’s first? We’ve been waiting for ages.” A guy says in an unhappy tone. You quickly turns around and apologize to him, and let him do his. That guy is the one that you see before, the rich guy, along with his girl friend.

“Jae, don't be like that!" His girlfriend named YeonHee, lightly pat on his shoulder.
"Sorry..” She whispers to you with a light bow.


But then, it seems like he has the same problem as yours.
“What the hell is that guy doing? He said that he is going to wait in the apartment!” He lose his temper. Meanwhile, you try to dial the agency’s number and wait for it to be picked up. JaeJoong and YeonHee also try to dial the agency. Both of you had tried to dial them like 5 times, but no one picks up the phone.

“Umm.. excuse me, I am just wondering. Could it be that your agency is.. Canola?” TaeYeon asks them.

“Yes, are you?” YeonHee says.

“Yes, we are the same. We have been trying to call them too, but-“

“Hello?” You say as someone answer your call, it catches the attention of the others. JaeJoong, YeonHee, and TaeYeon come closer to you.

“Hey, This is ~~~~~~, I’m calling because-“

“Miss, this is from the police.” A guy with a hoarse voice on the phone say.

“P-police?” You say.

“Yes. It seems like you’ve been conned by this guy called ‘MyungSoo’. He is a swindler that we’ve been trying to catch. I am sorry.”

“What?! A swindler?!” You shout.

“Huh? What’s wrong?” The other tries to ask more about it. You hear more explanation from the police then ends the call.

“What happened? What’s with the swindler and the police?” TaeYeon asks.

“Actually…” You then explain the whole situation to them.

“Okay… then, I’m gonna call the REAL agency. I really need a place to stay.” JaeJoong says as he gets up from his seat.

“Wait. I need a house as well. Let me call them first please.. I really really need a place to stay asap..” You plea him.

“What?” He responds.

“Umm, may I know why?” YeonHee asks.

“Uh.. Well.. My father sold our house, and I need to find a place for me to stay.. That’s all.”

“So in short, you really don’t have any other place to stay?” She asks and you nod.

“Then, let her call the agency first, you are still able to stay over in your parents’ house for another night.” YeonHee says to JaeJoong. JaeJoong can’t help but to agree to his girlfriend.


A few minutes later, when you’ve done, you slowly approach them who is sitting on the lobby.
“So how did it go?” YeonHee asks.

“Err.. You can take the house.” You say.

“Huh? Why??” YeonHee asks.

“Well, the price for the rent is too expensive, I can’t afford it.” TaeYeon pats your shoulder. YeonHee then looks at JaeJoong. JaeJoong didn’t care much, he takes out his handphone and start dialing the agency.

“Then I’ll take the place.” He says as he placed the phone on his ear.

“Jae!” YeonHee was about to take the phone away from him, but he quickly gets up and walk somewhere else to talk with the agency to avoid her taking his phone.


“~~~~, I actually have an idea. But I am not sure if you will agree with it…” YeonHee says.

“W-What is it?”

“I think you can stay with JaeJoong, like you are paying the rent of one room to him. I am alright with it.”

“But YeonHee-ssi, I don’t think that it is appropriate. Moreover, I don’t think he will like that idea.”

“Seriously, it’s okay. I can persuade him to.” YeonHee says with confidence. Not long, JaeJoong comes back with a big smile on his face. It seems that he just rented the apartment.

“Jae, I have a request..” YeonHee says. “I know that the apartment that you rented has 2 rooms. Would you mind to rent the other room to her?”

“What?” JaeJoong eyes grow bigger in shock. He takes a glance on you and TaeYeon then look back at YeonHee.

“W-Why?”

“She desperately needs a place.. Jae, do it for me..”
YeonHee pleas. JaeJoong and YeonHee stares into each other eyes for a brief moment, then JaeJoong closes his eyes and sighs.

“Fine. If that’s what you wanted. But are you sure about this? Me living with another girl?” He asks and YeonHee nods. You and TaeYeon then cheer happily and thank them.
As TaeYeon and YeonHee goes out to tell the moving-out driver, JaeJoong approach you.

“I’m sure you know that I never intended to let you stay with me. So don’t think I’ll be nice to you.”
