Last chapter Sam Yuen invited Ah Ngor to live with her over at her house. Ah Ngor Agreed but suddenly remembered that her son Ka Lok will be coming to visit her soon.

So Ngor: But Sam Yuen, Ka Lok will be arriving soon. *looks around* I don't think there is room for him. Maybe it'll be better if I continue to stay at the hotel.
Siu Sung: How about letting Ka Lok stay at my place?
So Ngor: Your place?
Siu Sung: Yea, I have lots of room over at my house.
So Ngor: Will it be any trouble to you?
Siu Sung: No, of course not. I'll be glad to have Ka Lok accompany me.
So Ngor: *smiles* Ok then, thank you Siu Sung.
Siu Sung: *smiles back* No problem.
Ah Chi's POV
Seeing Siu Sung and Ah Ngor getting along so well makes me feel like an outsider. Siu Sung seems so happy and carefree when he is around Ah Ngor. I sat there the whole night, speechless, listening to Sam Yuen, Siu Sung and Ah Ngor chatting away. As I listened to their conversation, I realized that there was a lot about Siu Sung that I didn't know about, but Ah Ngor knew every single event that had happened to him, and he knew everything about her too. Their chemistry was undeniable. Tons of questions popped up in my mind. Was I just a replacement for Ah Ngor? Did Siu Sung ever love me?
I know I shouldnˇ¦t be thinking of those questions, but I canˇ¦t help it. Back in the old days, I would never have any doubt about Siu Sungˇ¦s love for me, but now everything has changed. The distance between Siu Sung and I seems so far apart, just so far apart.

The next afternoon at Charmaineˇ¦s house
Charmaine: Fung has been acting strange lately, did you find out the reason why?
Ron: Fung gor and that policewoman are getting quite close lately.
Charmaine: Policewoman? Chan Sam Yuen?
Ron: Yea. They even had dinner last night.
Charmaine: *getting angry* They had dinner together?
Ron: Sis, Fung gor is getting too close to the policewoman. Do you want me to do anything?
Charmaine: What can we do?
Ron: *thinks for a second then replies* We can arrange a marriage between you and Fung gor. Once you two are married, that policewoman canˇ¦t do anything about it. Itˇ¦ll secure the relationship between you and Fung gor.
Charmaine: You think so?
Ron nods.
Charmaine: *nods* In that case, where is Fung? I want to talk to him.
Ron: Heˇ¦s outside. Iˇ¦ll call him for you. *exits Charmaineˇ¦s room*
Minutes laterˇK
Nam Fung: Ron said you wanted to see me.
Charmaine: *gets all serious* Yes. I did.
Nam Fung: What is it?
Charmaine: Iˇ¦ve have been thinking. Maybe we should get marry.
Nam Fung: *surprised at what Charmaine just said* Why? Is it necessary?
Charmaine: Mosesˇ¦ men are planning to attack my territory in Wong Kwok. If they know that we are married, then theyˇ¦ll know that you and your men are on my side. Theyˇ¦ll know that we are too strong to be temped with.
Nam Fung: But they already know that Iˇ¦m on your side and that all my men will support you.
Charmaine: It can be warning to them not to interfere with us. Besides, you do have feelings for me donˇ¦t you? You like me, donˇ¦t you?
Silence fell. Nam Fung had no idea whether he liked Charmaine or not.
Charmaine: Well?
Nam Fung nodded, but that nod was not because he liked Charmaine. He just nodded because he did not want to hurt her, but was he going to take his marriage as a game? Was he going to get married because he didnˇ¦t want to hurt Charmaine? He knew that both of them will be unhappy if that is the case. Nam Fungˇ¦s mind was blank. He didnˇ¦t know what to do, in fact, he needed someone he can trust to talk to. Nam Fung decided to go find Sam Yuen.

The next day after work, as Sam Yuen walked out of the front entrance of the police station, she was greeted by a troubled Nam Fung.
Nam Fung: Hey Madam ChanˇK
