Chapter 16

Ngor's Persuading

Author's Note: Please know that an author has a life other than writing fanfics. They have other things to do other than writing fanfics. Once again I must state the fact that I do not like to be hurried. Thank you to those readers that respect me and not rush me. As for the few others, I would appreciate it if you ppl can give me more free time to write. All depends on time and inspiration. ^.^ hehe I don't want to start getting serious here, just wanted to remind some of the readers...this is the last time I will say it la...I don't want to get too repetitive.

Ron headed home after hearing Nam Fung and Sam Yuen's conversation. He was greeted by Charmaine the moment he entered the house.

Charmaine: So? Where did Ah Fung go? Did he go find her?

Ron: Fung gor just went to a pub and had several drinks. He didn't go find Chan Sam Yuen.

Charmaine nodded her head in acknowledgement.

Ron: How did Fung gor react when you suggested marriage?

Charmaine: He didn't say much, he only asked me if the marriage was necessary.

Ron was in deep thoughts after hearing Charmaine's reply.

Ron's POV

I can't let sis know that Fung went to that woman for advice, she would go crazy if she knew. I know that Nam Fung means everything to sis. Fung belongs to sis, he cannot make decisions that would hurt my sis, I won't let him. Fung wouldn't even be living today without sis, it was sis who saved his life. Sis took care of him all the time during his coma, she provided him with all the best medical attention. Fung do not and can not dare to hurt sis because he himself know that sis had indeed done a lot for him. If Fung does decide to reject sis, I will not let him get away so easy. And that Chan Sam Yuen is getting in the way between Fung and sis, I have to do something.

Meanwhile, over with Sam Yuen, after her talk with Fung, she decided to head home. Back at Sam Yuen's house...

Sam Yuen opens to door and sees Ah Ngor and SaSa cooking together.

Sa Sa: *walks out of the kitchen* Mom!

Sam Yuen: Hey Sa Sa...

So Ngor: *walks out to join the two* You look a little tired Sam Yuen.

Sam Yuen: *sighs* Yah, I just had a conversation with you know who *looks at Sa Sa*.

Sa Sa: Who did you talk with mom?

Sam Yuen: Umm...an old friend.

So Ngor: *hands the egg lifter to Sa Sa* Go see if the eggs are ready to be flipped Sa Sa.

Sa Sa takes the egg lifter and returns to the kitchen.

So Ngor: Okay Sa Sa is away now, so tell me what's wrong.

Sam Yuen: Fung came to find me today, he told me he was in a coma a year ago, and...

So Ngor: And?

Sam Yuen: He told me that he and Sheh Si Man plan to get married.

So Ngor: *raises her voice a little* Fung and that triad leader is getting married?

Sam Yuen: *looks back to Sa Sa and makes sure that she is not listening* Shhh! I don't want Sa Sa to know her own father is about to get marry.

So Ngor: So they decided to get marry?

Sam Yuen: It was Sheh Si Man's idea, but Fung is still thinking about it.

So Ngor: What are you going to do?

Sam Yuen: What can I do?

So Ngor: Tell Fung about the relationship you two once had, tell him about his past, try to revive his lost memories. Only that way will stop the two from getting married.

Sam Yuen: Fung won't believe me.

So Ngor: Have you tried yet?

Sam Yuen: No, I have not told Fung anything about me and our past. He just knows that I am a policewoman.

So Ngor: That's right, then why not try telling him?

Sam Yuen: *shakes her head* I have a feeling its not going to work.

So Ngor: How would you know if you haven't even tried? If your not going to tell him, then are you just going to let him get married with someone he doesn't really love?

Sam Yuen: *thinks for a while, then replies* No I am not going to give up on Fung, I know deep inside of Chan Nam Fung lies the true Ching Fung. I will try to restore Fung's memories.

So Ngor: *pats Sam Yuen on the shoulder* That's the Sam Yuen I know. I wish you success.

Sam Yuen smiles.

Sa Sa: Mom, Auntie Ngor, the eggs are ready.

So Ngor: *to Sam Yuen* Think about other stuff later, right now, enjoy the meal. Don't get too worried, everything will be fine.

Sam Yuen nods and walks over to enjoy her dinner.

The next day, in the police station. Inside Siu Sung's office.

Siu Sung, was busy cleaning out his desk. He took everything out, which included the papers and the other stuff. He was so busy cleaning that he did not hear a knock on the door.

Knock Knock...

By the time Siu Sung realized someone was at the door, it had already been the eighth knock...

Siu Sung: *lifts head up* Who is it?

So Ngor: Me.

Siu Sung: Wei Ah Ngor, what brings you here?

So Ngor: I am back.

Siu Sung: Yes, I've known that for a while now.

So Ngor: No, what I mean is that, I am returning to this police station...
