They greeted each other and bowed politely, but then the photoshoots turned out okay. They should poses as they’re having fun at the water. Koyama even picked her up playfully.
Then the second one will be for Massu and Haruka. Massu poses many motions of a baseball player while Haruka cheering for him at the back.
After that, it’s Maki and Tegoshi’s part. They got introduced by Yamapi once, so now they’re not too awkward. They got to act as a highschool crush. Like when Tegoshi shyly came with a flower and Maki tend to take it but pretend to be shy too.
Yamapi talking to Yui how about the shooting of Code Blue today, since 3 of the leading actors were here.
He praised Yui with her yukata, even though he always liked a woman with western style clothes better.
‘’kawaii na (cute)..’’ he said.
‘’really? Somehow it remind me to my date with Kei-chan in Hani Kami show.’’ Yui said with a shy smile. She went a blind date with Koide Keisuke once for a reality show called Honey Coming or known as Hani Kami.
Somehow Yamapi feel nothing when he heard about that. Well, maybe he’s a bit surprised, but he didn’t feel too much jealousy.
‘’souka (is that so).’’ He just said that. But then Yui is the one who seems surprised to see his flat response.
Suddenly, ‘’Yamapi~ it’s your turn now..’’ Maki said to him.
‘’gomen (sorry).. it’s my turn.’’ He said to Yui.
‘’ah.. hai (yes).’’
‘’Pi-tan!!’’ he heard Masami called his nickname. ‘’what a coincidence..’’ when Yamapi walked closer to her, she commented since they got paired up for this photoshoot.
‘’ready? Now just having fun, alright! Act like you’re as carefree as your casual clothes.’’ the photographer said to them. ‘’you two have a good chemistry, do you know that?’’
Then Pi held his head, ‘’Maa-tan! Itai (it hurts)..’’ Masami unconsciously hit his head when she suddenly she jumps behind him so he has to give her a piggy back ride and try to balancing himself and her to preventing from falling down.
‘’iyaa~ you two more like a playful siblings than a couple.’’ Koyama said from afar.
‘’dondake~ (what the hell)’’ everyone can hear Yamapi said his famous line as he poses out on the beach.
Not long after that, the sun was ready to set. And it’s the time for the modeling pair, Ryo and Mao. And actually, this is the pair that everyone wants to see because it will be interesting. Ryo known as a shy person in front of a girl that he didn’t really know, but somehow in front of Mao, he seems to be confident.
‘’uwaa~ how lucky are you..’’ Erika said as she helped Mao to get rid of sands that sticked on her gown. It’s a sleek and simple red-colored gown that so long as it’s sweep the ground.
‘’ready?’’ the photographer asked.
‘’yeah..’’ both of them answered.
‘’you will pose as two models and I wanna see some love between you two.’’
As they posed, Mao said to him, ‘’ne.. I thought it would be hard since everyone kept saying that you’re a shy person, but now actually you’re not shy in front of me.’’
Ryo laughs out as then he said, ‘’I tend to be like that if I like the girl. But in your case, it’s because I never fell to a girl who got a full attention from my own friend. That’s my principal.’’
‘’what do you mean?’’ she said as they walk hand in hand and followed by the photographer.
‘’you will see.. and beside, this is my job. So in front of the camera, I was just trying to look cool.’’ Ryo said as he laughs while he took a glance on his friend who’s now is staring at him and Mao from where he stand.
Mao laughs, too ‘’yeah, sometimes photoshoots just like acting, right? only it got freezed.’’ and then they continue posing until the photographer said their part is done.
And after it’s getting dark, now it’s the time for the last pair.
Shige and Yui, who met in a dorama back then, was playing around with many kind of fireworks. And everyone are staring at them as they want to play, too.
Ryo stand in front of the laptop, seeing all of his pictures with Mao. And it’s definitely gorgeous. Yamapi joined him as he also looked at those pictures.
‘’otsukare (it’s a hard work today)..’’ he said to the crew.
‘’so.. have you confess?’’ suddenly Ryo asked his buddy.
Yamapi turned to face him.
‘’I knew you quite well, you know.. since Fujiki-san’s birthday, I can see it.’’ Ryo said to him thought Pi didn’t reply.
‘’I don’t know..’’ then Yamapi just said it after a while.
Now he’s staring at the monitor.
‘’Mao can be so different on the picture, right? Not that cute and bright as in real life. And from many many girls I knew in the industry, she’s one of a few that really can befriend aside to just only being politely or sociably nice to anyone.’’ Somehow Ryo sounds serious this time.
Pi saw Ryo and Mao’s pictures, there’s one of them walking together and got pictured from behind. The wind and the light formed a good combination. There’s another one that have a quite different atmosphere that the other. While the rest is seems to be elegant and so on, this one looked like much easier and laid back.
It’s pictured Ryo who seems want to prevent Mao from being soaked by the water in the shore line, so he pulled her back, wrapped his arm on her waist from behind, while Mao was laughing prettily.
Then the next picture appeared. Haruka-chan, who stand near Yamapi said to Maki, ‘’oh my God, it’s really gorgeous, isn’t it?’’ as Maki nodding agreed.
And everyone who see it, definitely will agree, too.
In that picture, with the sunset as a background, Ryo and Mao are staring to each other, their hand lifted to their side and it’s linking. Their forehead almost attached as both of them perform a great expression.
‘’she’s really great on expression, ne? not that surprising to see since she can made us believe that she really in love with Matsumoto-kun while we’re on the set.’’ Yamapi heard what Erika said.
Well, it sounds true. Yamapi agreed too. In the picture, with the two of them really close like that, Ryo managed to smile to Mao. As usual, he performed a smile that can make any girl down to their knees.
‘’Nishikido-kun kakkoi (cool)..’’ Erika adds.
Then Mao looked really great with her expression, too. It’s like.. she’s being shy and looked really happy on the same time to be with someone she really love.
Mao herself suddenly came and said to Ryo, ‘’wow.. I looked like I really love you so much.’’ Then she laughs.
‘’yay!’’ she shouted when she gave a high five to Ryo.
‘’we are a good team yeah.’’ Ryo silliness has come again. ‘’yeahh..’’ Mao also catched his vibe.
Who can imagine these two people turns out that they can be so compatible at goofing around?
Yamapi actually just standing there and didn’t say anything. He felt that maybe Mao is someone that can easily be comfortable with anyone. But then suddenly a thought hits him on the mind.
‘why I felt like I was disappointed? Maybe she’s just like that.. a true social butterfly. Just similar to Koyama-kun. Even Ryo-chan, the one that has either an cold aura or just tend to be shy, can be docile like that in front of her.. but.. to see her now.. I realized that I want her to be like that only to me..’ Yamapi thought.
‘eh????’ then he shouted in his mind. ‘massaka (could it be).. ore wa (im)..?’ but then he turned around to see Yui that already finished all her frames with Shige.
‘what about her? Mao also has been through all this trouble for me to be approached to Yui.’
Yamapi shook his head and then he walked to Yui and said, ‘’otsukare (you’ve been hard working)..’’
Yui smiled. ‘’otsukare.. it’s really fun, isn’t it? thanks to Mao who’s invited me. You must be so excited, too, huh?’’
‘’ha?’’ Pi frowned. Then he said to her, ‘’hey.. do you want to take a walk for a while?’’
She looked at him and then she nodded.
As the night crawling, they walked side by side. ‘’don’t you think it’s really good to have one day for break?’’ Yui said.
‘’yeah.. though I promised to take you to Kujuukuri when we have one.’’ Pi said.
Then Yui laughs a bit. ‘’well, where do you think we are now? we walk at Kujukuuri, right?’’
Pi laughs too, ‘’yeah but it’s not came from my effort. Instead, it’s Mao’s.’’
Yui walked ahead and after 3 steps forward, she turned back to see him. ‘’ne.. do you want to know one thing?’’
‘’nanda (what)?’’
‘’I... ah but please dont laugh at me. I.. used to be jealous at her, you know.. Mao.’’ Yui said as she continued. ‘’because.. I kinda l-‘’
‘’chotto (wait)..’’ Yamapi said to her. Yui looked kinda surprised.
‘’gomen (sorry).. but let me say that thing first. I like you, Aragaki Yui.’’ he finally said that. After all this time.
Yui looked kinda surprised at first, but then smiled as she might have been expected what Yamapi just said. But a second after that, she shook her head.
‘’you think you like me.’’ she said it calmly. Somehow it sounds so sincere. As much as the situation is really serene, it’s also gives a sad atmosphere.
‘’may I speak something?’’ Yui asked him. Yamapi just nodded since his tongue seems to stuck.
‘’see.. like I said, I used to be jealous at her, because suddenly she took your attention. But after I know her for a while, I kinda understand why she got it. She’s really nice, and sometimes naïve too.’’ Yui said as she looked at the ocean. ‘’and to think more further, she even granted my wish to get here with you, right? although she may didn’t know about that.’’ Then she laughs.
‘you don’t have any idea about what Mao knew about you.’ Yamapi said in his mind.
‘’but this trip, also opens my eyes about something. Maybe.. you just still cant see your feelings right now. but I do.. from the way you look at her, and to see her with Nishikido-kun. Although you know it’s just for work, not to mention Ryo also your best buddy..’’Yui smiled again as she continues, ‘’as much as I like you, I realized that false feeling like this is still forgiveable.. sometimes, you cant really see you heart, because you need someone else to make you clearly see it. Just like a mirror. And for you, that mirror is not me..’’
Yamapi didn’t know what to say, he usually can speak so easily, and people often praised him for his ability to answer a question with a good answer, but this time.. he just numb. And Yui.. she have a really big heart. He felt like a jerk to hurt her like that.
‘’gomenasai (im really sorry).’’ as he bowed. ‘’I disappoint you.’’
‘’don’t be.. well, Im not gonna lie. It’s not easy.. and we still got a work together, too.’’ she said. ‘’but I’ll try my best to make it work. Besides, it’s not like we only known each other for a while, right?’’ she formed the best smile on her lips. Although Yamapi can see that she put a big effort to do it.
Then he just walked to her and pulled her in his arms. ‘’im sorry.. I.. I didn’t even know what happen to me. and-‘’
But Yui cut his sentence. ‘’I think in some cases, something would be better left unsaid.’’ She hugged him back.
Then she just enjoyed being in his arms for a little more time, before she release it, but still in Yamapi’s arms, she say, ‘’someday, if you finally understand about your feelings, don’t be hesitated, okay?’’
Pi smiled and nodded. ‘’arigatou (thanks) na, Yui…’’
Now he seems to slowly understand what’s really lies in his heart. What he really want. Who he really want. Without knowing that someone accidently saw him and Yui.
