Ryo said as he went inside his own house at Osaka.
‘’eh?’’ suddenly 2 women appeared. One is his mom, and then the other one is his little sister, holding a baby in her arms said,
‘’naniyatten no (what are you doing)? You just went back to Tokyo yesterday.’’
He turned around and talked, ‘’hey, come here! what are you doing there?’’
‘’dare (who is it)?’’ his mom asked the daughter.
‘’ohayo gozaimasu (good morning)..’’ Erika bowed politely in front of Ryo’s mother and sister.
‘’ah, Toda Erika-san?’’ his mom greeted them, ‘’ohayo gozaimasu!’’
‘’eehh.. Toda Erika???’’
Not long after that, there’s someone walking down the stairs and produced a loud thumping sounds, ‘’where is she?’’ it’s Ryo’s oldest brother.
‘’Papa! Papa!!’’ his mom shouted to the backyard.
Erika blinked her eyes as she saw all of the people that staring at her.
‘’nanda (what is it)?’’then came a middle-age handsome man with a 2 year-old little boy. ‘’ah.’’ he said as he saw Erika.
‘’uwaaaaaaaaaaaaa!’’ then a second after that they all screamed.

‘’nanda sore ya (what the hell is that)???!! shouted all together like that! you made her scared!!’’ Ryo said to his family as now they’re eating together in the backyard.
‘’gomen ne (sorry), Erika..’’ his mom looked down.
‘’ie ie, daijoubu (im fine).’’ She said with a smile although after she said that suddenly a guy came from inside the house, saying ‘’majide (seriously)? Ryo!!’’ followed by a young lady and a child.
Ryo shook his head in desperation as he introduced, ‘’that’s my other older brother, his wife and their child.’’
Erika stood up and bowed as she greeted cheerfully, ‘’konnichiwa, Toda Erika desu!’’
Her personality was just like that, she’s never too shy, she just rather easy going instead. She’s not scared to face his family, it’s just.. a bit surprising at the beginning since all the family members were an interesting peoples.
Somehow she wondered how Ryo-chan got a shy and other adorable side of him. Maybe because he’s the youngest boy in the family, he got teased by his 2 older brothers since they’re a little child, yet he still have a younger siblings, a little sister, so that’s why he can be so caring at times.
At first, Erika was like, shocked as he told her that he wants to introduced her to his family. It was kind of big deal, right? but then, Ryo said, in his family tradition, every boyfriend or girlfriend of his siblings were introduced to the family too. So it’s normal. Although, Ryo-chan didn’t say to her about,
‘’actually.. Ryo-chan was the one who never brought his girlfriend here.’’ his mother said it, ‘’we knew that he always chasing girls around, but we couldn’t say anything because he never actually bring them. That’s why everyone got so excited. Ne?’’ the lady said to her family.
‘’neee..’’ the others just nodded agree.
Erika laughs as Ryo-chan said, ‘’mooouu (geez), yamero yo (stop it)!’’
‘’hai hai (yes)..’’ his mom said.
‘’I hope you all aren’t interrupted with having me here in a Sunday morning like this.’’ Erika said.
‘’noo.. actually we’re celebrating his birthday.’’ His father said to her as he lifted his oldest grandchild.
‘’my nephew become 2 years old yesterday.’’ Ryo informed her.
‘’souka (is that so)?’’ Erika said, then she turned to the little boy, ‘’Otanjoubi omedetou (happy birthday).’’
‘’arigatou (thanks)..’’ the boy replied as he smiled sheepishly.
‘’hey look, he’s just like you, Ryo-chan..’’ Erika said as she pulled the edge of Ryo’s shirt while she’s still looking at the little boy who sat on his grandpa’s lap.
Suddenly, his other nephew walked to him.
‘’Ryo ji-chan, let’s play with the dog.’’ He said as he wants to get lift in Ryo’s arms.
‘’chotto matte ne (wait a sec, okay)? ji-chan hasn’t finish eating.’’ He said as then he took the boy in his lap. Actually a moment like this was really rare since he’s busy everyday, that’s why he understood why his nephew suddenly wants to play with him.
‘’here, ‘’ he took a sushi roll and feed it to his nephew as the little boy opened his mouth.
‘’ureshii na (happy, isnt it)?’’ Erika also said to the boy who’s now nodded happily as he covered his mouth in a cute way.
As then she said to Ryo, ‘’yaa~ I missed my parents.. my brother and sister, too..’’
He smiled as he understood her feelings. Both of them are different than Pi and Mao, whose family lived nearby. They’re working in Tokyo while their family still in their hometown, Osaka for Ryo, and Kobe for Erika.
Maybe that’s why, although they seems to be distant to each other at the beginning, turns out that they might share many things. They were far from home, they also talked in Kansai-ben, as they came from the same area in Japan, Kansai Region, while the other co-star, Ninomiya-kun is originally from Tokyo, which is in Kanto Region.
‘’do you want to visit them, too?’’
‘’eh?’’ Erika turned to Ryo’s sister. ‘’ah, of course.. maybe my next trip, I’ll be heading home.’’ as then she remember, ‘’but if I think again, I guess my mom planned to come to Tokyo soon, so..’’ she smiled as she hang her sentence.
‘’you might have missed them a lot, ne, Erika-chan? as you live in Tokyo by yourself.’’ Ryo’s mom asked.
‘’yes, but I never actually feel lonely because I got many good friends there. I knew many of them from Ryo-kun, too.’’
‘’uso (lie).. you already knew all of them even before you know me.’’ Ryo nudged her. ‘’even the JE boys, like Yamapi is your co-star, Kame and Jun, too. Actually Im the one who knew many people as I start to hang out with her.’’
‘’maybe it’s because you’re always get home very quickly back then and never hang around people so much.’’ Erika said to him.
‘’it’s because im tired and im not the type who likes to talk.. Im more a listener type of person, not like you who actually talkative like Mao, Kame, or even Ninomiya-kun.’’ He replied as then he faced Erika who also staring at him.
‘’there.. there. They started to praised each other but then suddenly they become mocking each other, too.’’ Ryo’s father said to his sons.
Ryo and Erika turned to see the family members who’s now all were looking at them.
‘’ah, gomen (sorry).. I didn’t mean to..’’ Erika bowed as she felt that it’s inappropriate to say something bad in front of his parents.
‘’no.. no. Actually we find it amusing.’’ His oldest brother said that.
‘’yeah.. we can barely agree to each other.’’ Ryo said as then Erika nodded, ‘’there’s a lot of things that makes us disagree so easily.’’
‘’and actually, that what’s makes the relationship was more interesting, right?’’ his older brother said that as everyone laughs and nodded.

In the following week,
‘’this is what you will wear in Ishii-san’s wedding.’’ Her fashion advisor said it.
Mao bulged her eyes, ‘’uwaaaa,, kirei (wow, it’s beautiful)..’’ as she touched the soft and smooth silk of the white with red and orangey flowers kimono.
Then she remembered what she said to Yamapi 3 days ago,
‘’gomen (sorry), I havent informed you about the F4 plans to came together as the production staff also told us to performe a speech together.’’
Pi said, ‘’well.. that’s okay. It’s just that.. I thought I will hear that from you instead of from Shun.’’
‘’I know I have less free time these days, that’s why my mind was kinda distracted. Once I told people something that I have told them twice, but then the other time I actually didn’t say something because I thought I already tell them.’’
‘’it’s because of your movie and also your college task, huh?’’ Pi patted her back.
‘’yes..’’ she sighed.
‘’don’t worry, I’ve been there. And I know you’ll get through that..’’
‘’thanks.’’ She smiled as she look at him. ‘’so you’re not mad at me?’’
‘’no.. why should I? it’s not a big deal.. beside you’ll coming with F4, right? it’s not like you’re gonna cheating of me with 4 other guys.’’
‘’oh? So you think you cant do that?’’ She laughs at him.
‘’that’s not what im saying. Because you’re the type of person that actually can do anything if you really want to,’’ he hugged her from behind, ‘’but I don’t think that you’re willing to do something like that.’’
‘’God, you really knew me that well.’’ She teased him as she kissed his cheek.
Back to the present time,
She took a picture of the kimono with her cellphone, and then she send it to Yamapi.
‘’this is what the stylest-san told me to wear to Ishii-san’s wedding. Dou (how)?
Though I knew you wouldn’t like it so much
Mao.’’
As his girlfriend, she knew that he doesn’t really like to see girls with Japanese clothing. He preferred a normal clothes, although he said,
‘’well, that’s an exception, of course. In a formal events, like Seijin-shiki (20 years old ceremony), or Kekkon-shiki (wedding ceremony), I think it’s good to wear that clothing. Im not saying that I hate it, of course not, it’s just.. I think it’ s not practical.’’
Yeah, to wear kimono in a proper way, it’s not really easy. There’s so many layer, knot and also we have to know the meaning when we wear it.
Not long after that, as expected he’s replying quite quick.
‘’wow, the color is really bright ne?
As I saw you in Anmitsu Hime, that kimono surely will look good on you.
Tomo.’’
She smiled, as then she typed the reply,
‘’you said that only because im your girlfriend, right?
You even didn’t like it.
Mao.’’
Then the staff called her, so she left her phone is the bag and when she came back 2 hours later, there’s already 3 messages.
One from Erika
‘’ne.. are you still fitting the clothes for the wedding?
May I join you? Im in the neighborhood.
Erika.’’
She replied,
‘’sure, come quick.
And I want the details of Erika & Ryo first trip to Osaka.
Mao.’’
Then another one is from her manager, who couldn’t attend to the boutique with Mao right now.
Then the last one is from Pi
‘’iya iya (no), honki dayo (im serious).

Mao slapped her forehead slightly as she remembered about the magazine that Pi showed her yesterday.
Then she opened and search for NEWS’ pages, when she found it, she reads about 10 minutes, as then she replied,

How do you learn to have such a good talent with words and pose?

Just to make her laugh even more, 2 minutes later Pi replied,
‘’I usually could wrote anything based on my experience.

She replied,
‘’ah.. so, that ‘’love’s child-like feeling’’ short essay is real? Not just a composed beautiful sentence

He replied,
‘’ha, do you really need to ask me that?

As then she’s still laughing, she called him,
‘’nee.. dont try to tease me!’’ she said.
‘’hontou (really).. I praised you as I said the kimono will fit you, then now you actually ask me about from where I got the inspiration to wrote something like that.’’ Pi pretended to be mad.

It’s like.. when you saw my stupid face everytime you wear those Goddamn cute dresses, or.. when I teased you everytime I say you fit better in my big white shirt than a sexy negligee.. Mao laughs, ‘’you know you can be sooo funny sometimes.’’

As then Pi laughs stupidly, ‘’HE HE HE HE.’’
‘’he he he he.’’ Mao mimicked him. As then she said, ‘’ah, Erika came. Gomen ne (sorry), I’ll call you later, now I want to get the details on their trip. God! Im so jealous, bye now, Pi, love you!’’ she talked so fast and Pi didn’t even got the chance to say anything.
‘’Hi pretty,’’ Erika said, ‘’look, here’s our photos from Kaiyukan.’’ Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan is one of the largest public aquarium in the world.
‘’eeehhh?’’ Mao shrieked, ‘’how can you possibly go there without anyone notice?’’ as she looked at Ryo’s camera, a birthday gift from Erika.
Then she saw many pictures of not just Ryo and Erika, but some of Kanjani8 members. They are Ohkura, Yokoyama and Murakami or known as Hina.
‘’uwaaa.. tanoshikatta desune (it’s so fun, isnt it)..’’

As then Mao also saw many pictures of Ryo’s family. ‘’awwwww.. how sweet!!’’
Erika laughs as Mao now is looking to the picture where Erika played with Ryo’s nephew and the dog.
‘’thank God we all were get along so well together.’’ Erika said.
‘’you’re so lucky, they seems so welcoming to you.’’ Mao said to her.
‘’no, it’s not just me. Pi’s family also loves you very much, aren’t they? So actually we both are!’’ Erika shouted as then they shriek and hugged.

‘’I accidently met her while im with my family and An-chan.’’ Shota explained. Suzuki Anne or An-chan is his actress girlfriend for 1 year. ‘’Maki did look upset.’’

She turned around and saw Jun is the one who held her hand.
‘’doushite (what is it)?’’ she frowned.
‘’I just try to warn you. There’s so many people from the press here, it’s true, they all cant publish our pictures because my management prevented it. But if they find something suspicious here, they could just hunt you down and then the next thing you got is a paparazzi photo in a magazine.’’ Jun said it.
He’s right.
‘’you don’t want something that happened to my friend, Toma, happens to Yamapi too, right? Toma surely got much trouble because he never got busted before. Well.. maybe Yamapi wouldn’t really that much of trouble because he’s not as clean as Toma,’’from his tone, the persistent and jealous Jun are still there. Although Mao can feel his sincerity,’’ And I also doesn’t want you to have such a bad rumor.’’
Mao nodded, ‘’thank you for your concern, Jun.’’ she smiled, ‘’and I will remember that.’’
He released her hand slowly as he said to her although he’s staring at another direction. ‘’Shun walked to Yamapi right now, then go now! at least you will be save if the press sees you in a group.’’
She looked at him and say, ‘’arigatou (thanks).’’
‘’don’t look at me with such a pity eyes like that. Just go.’’
Mao bowed and then she called Shun, ‘’chotto (wait)!’’
Shun waited for her and then they walked to Pi.
‘’you two again.’’ Pi joked as he saw Mao and Shun came to him. he said to the staff, ‘’excuse me.’’ as then the 3 of them walked to find something to drink.
‘’becareful or I start to be suspicious at you, Shun, on planning to take away my woman.’’ He said as then Mao laughs.
‘’ah.. deta (it came).’’
Shun was also laughs, ‘’what is it?’’
Mao said to Shun, ‘’you faced yourself with a guy who said that he can compete to be Japan’s no.1 or at least big 3 to how much he wants his woman to devoted only for him, and not to mention that means he also wants to monopolize her, well, in this case, that woman was me.’’
‘’whoa... Pi, seriously?’’ Shun lifted his eyebrows.
Pi nodded firmly as he drank his champagne.
‘’well, my guy here never lose his coolness, don’t he?’’ Shun wrapped his arm on Pi’s shoulder.
They laughs as then Pi said to Mao, ‘’you will come home with me, right?’’
She paused for a while, as then she said, ‘’I think it’s not a good idea. What happened to Maki actually made me feel.. kinda afraid.’’
Pi just smiled, ‘’okay then.. you can do whatever you feel it’s comfortable with you.’’
‘’thanks.’’ Mao said as she thought that Pi might understand why she seems a bit distant to him right now.
As then Erika came with Ninomiya-kun to informed that after the Ariake 3, HYD cast will give the speech, and then Yamapi’s turn.
So then 10 minutes later, after Nino, Ryo and Erika walked down from the stage, F4 and Mao walked and congratulated the bride and the groom. After that, Pi walked to the stage to say his speech.
At 11 o’clock, they went back home, as Mao and Pi walked to different cars.
About 2 hours later, Pi is already changed his clothes to a tee and a boxer when he grabbed some beer from the fridge in his cozy apartment. He heard the keys unlocked from the front door.
‘’hey.’’ He greeted her.
‘’hi.’’ Mao gave him a peck on the lips as she said, ‘’gomen (sorry).. the guys went to have some drink first, but then I just asked Shun to dropped me here.’’
Mao’s now aren’t wearing her kimono, but her hair was still in a messy bun. Yamapi just nodded as she said, ‘’I want to take a shower first, okay?’’
When she walked out from the bathroom, she saw Pi is lying on the sofa looking so comfortable. And after she dried her hair, she joined him as he gets up to sitting position so she can sit in the sofa and then just nuzzled to him.
Pi embraced her and just combed her hair with his hand.
‘’ne..’’
‘’hm?’’
Mao looked up a bit, ‘’why are you suddenly be so quiet like this? sleepy?’’
‘’no.. I just wondering, how lucky is Shun can be. He could just seeing anywhere with you without thinking that some paparazzi will took your photos. Although the chance are quite high remembering that Shun was so popular and you two actually once get rumored being a couple.’’
‘’Tomo! Not againnn.. I thought you’re just joking on what you said to Shun earlier!’’ she gets up and faced him. ‘’and you’re also the one who taught me not to be jealous with each other’s ex..’’
Pi smiled wearily, ‘’well, yes.. but im Japan’s no.1 man that willing to have a woman who’s devoted only to me, right?’’
‘’soudane (you’re right).’’ Mao giggled as she added,’’and you’re the guy who also wants the woman loooovees you with all her heart.’’
‘’yes.’’ Pi hugged her even tighter.
‘’and you also want her to be great in cooking.’’

‘’aaah~ I feel lack of confidence on that last one.’’ Mao said.
‘’well, at least that’s one thing that you can learn.’’ He said as he kissed her hair. He just love the scent of her shampoo.
‘’you also can learn to love someone.’’ She protested.
‘’ah, you’re right.’’ he realized.
‘’but to find someone you love and wants to learn to love you back, that’s one thing that seems like impossible, right?’’ Mao turned to face him.
‘’yeah..’’ he smiled as then the coffee machine made a noise. ‘’ah, my coffee.’’
Yamapi walked as he asked, ‘’do you want something to drink?’’
‘’do you still have the milk? I want the chocolate one.’’
‘’okay.’’
Then he made his coffee and he also asked her, ‘’ah! niku-man (niku-manju = steamed cake with meat filling). Kaa-chan brought some niku-man, do you want some? I’ll warm it on the microwave. Ah, I feel like I want some udon.’’ As he doesn’t stop talking about food.
‘’haaaa~i (yes).’’ Mao shouted from the living room. She saw a bunch of his magazine spreading in a corner, so then she decided to managed it. ‘’why he didn’t put it back on the shelves?’’ she just shook her head.
But then she found it interesting since some of the magazine contained with NEWS’ article.
She read some of the magazine as Yamapi still busy in the kitchen. Then she found one, ‘’ah! why on earth he keep this magazine?’’
10 minutes later, Pi came to the living room as he saw Mao is reading some magazine.
‘’ne.. I almost forgot how’s your pose here..’’
Pi almost dropped the bowl of udon (japanese thick noodle) that he held in his hand.
‘’ch-chotto (wait)! Ah! Rinaaaa~’’ he put the bowl down as then he took the ANAN magazine from Mao’s hand.
‘’eh nande (why)?? Mitai (I want to see).’’
‘’Rina brought many of her magazine here as she said her bookshelves was full. Bakajyana (don’t be stupid)! Why didn’t she just throw it all away?’’ Yamapi said to Mao as he felt a bit shy.
‘’I want to seeeeee~’’ Mao try to take it from his hand.
‘’hazukashii na sore (that’s embarrassing)! you already saw it right? and also with the other NEWS member!’’
Mao laughs, ‘’Im too embarrassed to see it with them! I just closed the magazine right away..’’
‘’then you knew my feelings!’’ Pi actually was laughing too.
‘’yeah.. but I couldnt prevent myself to tease you. Beside, why you have to keep the magazine?’’
‘’mou~ (geez), it’s Rina! Not meee..’’
‘’yaaa~ the pose is just too sexy, isnt it?’’ Mao said as she’s like imagining something.
Then Pi suddenly throw the magazine to the floor as it made a banged sound. Mao turned to him as she thought he’s mad.
‘’Tomo? Im sorry, im just kidding..’’ she said.
He didn’t say anything, just standing there. So Mao gets up and approached him, ‘’ne-‘’
Then Pi suddenly turned around and lifted her as he laughs, ‘’gotcha!’’
‘’eh?? Matteee (wait)!’’ Mao shrieked as then Pi threw her to the sofa and tickled her.
‘’so.. now you were brave enough, huh? Huh?’’
‘’yamete yoo (stop it)! yameteeee!!’’ Mao said between her laughs.
As then he stopped so suddenly, he kissed her deeply. She didn’t refuse at first, as then one thing leads to another until,
‘’stop.’’ She said.
‘’ha?’’
Mao gets up and buttoned her shirt back, ‘’im.. im sorry.’’
‘’doushite (what is it)?’’
Actually, suddenly she remembered the panic she felt back when she thought she’s pregnant.
‘’I.. I think.. I don’t know, I still-‘’ she hugged him, ‘’gomen (sorry).’’
‘’what is it, you know you can tell me..’’ he patted her head to make her calm down.
‘’it reminds me about when im worried... whether im.. the baby.’’ She just held him tighter, ‘’Tomo, please don’t be mad at me.’’
Now he gets it. She might still afraid about the pregnant thing. And also with what happened to Maki. It’s might unconsciously effected her.
‘’ssh..’’ he patted her head again, ‘’what are you talking about? Of course im not mad.. well, I was startled as I thought you were refusing me-‘’
‘’no! no..’’
‘’yes, I understand now. And im the one who should say sorry.. gomen ne (sorry).’’
Mao lifted her face and slowly she’s smile. Pi actually weak at smiles, and this time, she even looked more gorgeous than usual.
Through that little smile, he can feel Mao’s truly happiness as she felt Pi understand and didn’t mad at her. But she does look tired.
‘’come on.. it’s getting cold in here. Why don’t you sleep first?’’ he said as he gets up and picked her to stand up with him.
‘’eh? And you?’’
‘’of course I will stay with you, too. It’s just, I still have the udon.’’ He smiles. ‘’come on.’’
Then they walked to the bedroom as Pi kept her close to him. After she lay down under the blanket, Pi patted the blanket that covered her and say, ‘’chotto matte ne (wait a sec), im going to take my udon.’’ He grinned.
Before 1 minutes, he’s back with the bowl of udon and a glass of milk.
‘’I put here, your chocolate milk.’’ He put the glass on the bedside table.
Mao just nodded as she smiles. He said, ‘’well, just close your eyes.. Try to get some sleep.’’
She closed her eyes and Pi just staring at her. He actually doesn’t want to eat the udon anymore. It’s just.. now he’s worrying about her, himself and their relationship. Even more than before.
As then he’s just ate the udon only because he doesn’t want to get rid of any food. And after he finished it, he gets up to put the bowl to the kitchen as suddenly Mao grabbed his shirt.
‘’where do you want to go?’’ she looked at him.
Pi smiled understandably. ‘’to take this to the kitchen. See?’’ he shown the empty bowl.
‘’come back here soon. Or I will think that you’re mad at me.’’ Mao said.
He just walked out from the room but after he put the bowl down at the table, he’s just straight back to the room.
He’s sitting on the bed as then he lay down. She might asleep right now. As he slowly pulled her into his embrace, Pi closed his eyes although actually he couldn’t sleep as he’s worrying about her.
