He’s so tired, but somehow he find it interesting, to observe many things for his act. In his previous drama, like Proposal Daisakusen, he doesn’t have to be capable doing something based on a specific profession, all he’s been doing is just sharpen his own feeling, his passion toward something, in this case, love. Prodai pushed him to his limit to be someone who was confused, between being head over heels in love and try to get her, or just let the love of his life go with someone else.
It’s not really an easy job, since he never felt so passionate -and confused in the same time- like Iwase Ken, his role. And actually, no one ever knows that during the shooting, he pretend like he was truly in love with his co-star, Masami, or who he called Maa-tan. It’s not too difficult since they knew for a quite long time, and also because at that time, Maa-tan also in trouble with her love in the real life.
But then his play pretending also end as the drama ended. Well, maybe that’s what people saying, when you have to act to be someone, just be that person, hates everything that he hates, and loves the only person he loves, but just doing it during that time so you’re not losing your truly self. And Pi admit it, until now, he was so good at doing that.
In Code Blue, his role was definitely the opposite. All he knew about passion is just about fulfilled his ambition, to be the most excellent doctor, no matter what. And that makes him.. a bit inhuman.
Well, in some way, his role is similar to his truly self, he also wants to achieve a goal, to be the number one, in many things. But one thing he doesn’t expected, it looks like he attracted to something else–and it’s not that he planned it-.
Yamapi always find it funny to see how an on-screen couple turns to be off-screen couple too, but what’s more funny is when the actor doesn’t have any love interest in the dorama suddenly wants something more from his co-star in his real life.
That’s how he feels right now. And he kinda scared because he never feel this way, and because he didn’t know who the other co-star will react. Or the most important thing is, how THAT PERSON will react if she knows about his feeling. He feels so confused, more confuse than memorized many medical terms every night during his shoots.
‘’hey, what are you doing?’’ suddenly someone said to him from behind.
Yamapi turned around and saw Ryo walking towards him, who’s now sitting on the floor, holding his script. All the NewS member was in the studio today, they prepare for their new single.
‘’reading this.. for the next episode.’’ Yamapi said as he showed his the script.
Ryo frowned and then he slapped Pi’s head slowly with the magazine on his hand. ‘’Baka (stupid)! You held it upside down, how can you read it?’’
‘’eh?’’ Pi took a quick glance to the papers in his hand, and Ryo’s right.
‘’you must have something in your mind.’’ His bestfriend said. It’s another thing to have a long time friendship like what Ryo-chan and Pi have, the fact that you cant hide or lie. ‘’I known you since, what? Ancient times?’’
‘’all I know is when we got introduced, you’re shorter than I am. No, my mistake, you’re still shorter than me even until right now.’’ Yamapi said as he gets up and sat on the sofa.
‘’yeah.. yeah..’’ Ryo ignored him. ‘’I have more interesting job to do other than listening to your words.’’ Then he sat on the other sofa and opened his magazine.
Pi looked at him and commented, ‘’Nonno?’’ Nonno is a fashion magazine, it also have Men’s Nonno, but the one that Ryo brought is originally for women.
‘’yeah, Shige borrowed it from someone. And then I borrowed it. ‘’ Ryo grinned. ‘’let’s see.. who’s on the fashion segment.’’ He said to himself.
Yamapi then gets up and sat beside Ryo. ‘’what are you doing here, read your script!’’ he yelled at Pi as he pointed his finger to the script that now are on the table.
‘’Urusai (shut up)!’’ Pi used his hand to opens the next page, ignoring his friend.
‘’uwaaa, Maki-chan..’’ Ryo said as he saw Maki posing in one page. ‘’and there’s also Masami and Juri. Kawaii (cute) na Juri-chan.. I love her curvy smile.’’
‘’yeah, but her act in Last Friends was so good, wasn’t it? it’s so convincing.’’ Pi said.
‘’indeed. When I took the fighting scene, I kinda nervous because I have to choked her up, well, I always nervous during the DV scene, but then she said it’s okay, just pretend that im a guy. Kakkoi (it so cool)! Even you cant be that cool!’’ Ryo still mocking him.
‘’you really looking for trouble, you know that?!’’ Yamapi said as then he continue browsing the magazine.
‘’I like when girls wearing something like this.’’ Ryo pointed a model –she’s Watanabe Anne (Watanabe Ken’s daughter)—who’s wearing a short pants, and tank-top under the flowery see-through blouse. ‘’it’s cute, but still.. ahaha.’’ Ryo done some naughty laughs.
Pi knew what Ryo-chan’s type of girl so he just laughing. ‘’if im a girl and I saw you laughing like that, I’ll completely ignore you.’’
‘’well, im so thankful to God for not making you as a girl. But God knows how im thankful for giving me Rina-chan..’’
Yamapi suddenly say, ‘’who ever said that I will let my sister to be yours? Over my dead body!’’
Ryo is laughing really hard as then Massu walked in, ‘’hey, what’s so funny?’’
‘’wassup?’’ Koyama acted coolly and said an English word.
‘’as usual, got pissed when someone mention his sister’s name.’’ Ryo explained between his laugh.
‘’ah Rina-chan?’’ Tegoshi said Pi’s little sister’s name.
‘’shut up or he will cut your throat..’’ Ryo said to Tego as he still teasing Pi.
‘’Rina deserve a good person, better than I am.’’ Pi said.
‘’uwaaaa.. sister complex!’’ Shige came and said it.
‘’and ore-sama (im the greatest) feeling, too! You know, maybe you will be a good Domyouji. But too bad, Matsumoto-san got it first..’’ Massu said.
‘’ne ne nee.. this edition of Nonno was kinda complete..’’ Ryo ignored the guys and still looking at the magazine, ‘’Mao-chan also here.. uwaaa, Asami-chan too!’’ Mizukawa Asami is Ryo’s co-star in Last Friends too.
‘’where?’’ all the guys are standing behind the sofa, looking at the magazine, except Yamapi. He still held a grudge after being teased as a sister complex. He’s protective to his sister, yes of course, it’s because he has to act as his brother and father, too.
‘’ne.. Asami as tall as you are, isn’t it?’’ Tegoshi asked Ryo.
‘’of course not.. im still taller than her. But she have a great posture.. yeah..’’ Ryo answered.
‘’hey I almost forgot, I also brought this.. jaaaan!’’ Shige took something from his bag. Another magazine.
‘’lookie here..’’ Ryo said. ‘’ah, Code Blue cast! Pi.. you’re in it.’’
‘’I know, Im one of them, remember?’’ Pi said without looking, although he still sit beside Ryo.
‘’Higa Manamiiii… so pretty pretty.’’ Koyama said with a melody.
‘’my favorite is still Erika-chan.. you’re so lucky, Ryo-chan, to be with her in your next drama..’’ Shige said.
‘’yeah, but she will be play as my sister. Ne, don’t you think Yamapi is the luckiest guy around here? He worked with her twice!’’ Ryo said.
‘’yeah, and with Gakki, too! Uwaaa she even still so cute in that uniform. You’re shorter than her now, aren’t you?’’ Koyama asked Tegoshi, who once played in the same drama as Yui.
‘’shut up!’’ Tegoshi said.
Yamapi took a glance since he heard that name called. And when Massu said, ‘’Higa Manami, elegant. Toda Erika, Pretty. Aragaki Yui, cute. And who’s gonna end up with your character, Pi? Ah, I guess it will be.. Gakki.’
Pi didn’t answer but then he also join the rest and look at the magazine.
‘’why her?’’ Tego asked.
‘’haha, just a wild guess. Because in this magazine she’s the one who closer to Pi, other than the rest. I saw another magazine with them on it, and Gakki is also the only one who sat beside him, the other was standing.’’ Massu laughs at his own explanation.
The other was laughing too, but then Pi said, ‘’I didn’t even realize it when we were on the photoshoots.’’
‘’didn’t they arrange the pose based on something?’’ Koyama asked.
‘’well, they might be.. but I didn’t think much about it.’’ Pi shrugged.
‘’such a cool guy, took many photoshoots with 3 gorgeous ladies and not even think about it.’’ Shige look at his leader with an admiration pose.
‘’Baka (stupid)..’’ Pi laughs. But to be honest, he suddenly thought about it. Yeah, during almost all Code Blue cast’s photoshoots for magazine, Yui always be the one who near him. Nearest, actually. There’s one when she put her hand on his shoulder when Erika –who also standing beside him, didn’t do it—.
‘no no.. no.. it’s nothing. I always professional during any photoshoots or any works. Holding hands with Maa-tan when we came in Waratte Iitomo, even when the AnAn photoshoots, it’s not making me less professional.’ Yamapi said to himself.
He still trying convinced himself, as the guys still chatted and commented about the girls on both magazine. Suddenly, a phone is ringing.
‘’Pi.. you got a message.’’ Massu said as he gave Pi’s phone to the owner.
Yamapi opened the phone and read the long texted message to himself,
‘konnichiwa (hello), Yamapi? Inoue Mao desu. I went to your hospital to removed the stitches and as im finished, they said you already covered for everything. Arigatou Gozaimasu. (thanks you) You’re helping me so much. I felt relieved, because my manager didn’t want to handle something that caused by my carelessness.’ As the message ended by a grinned smiley.
He wants to reply, but then he hesitated. He’ll do it later, now he’s just saved her mail address. And then he closed the phone.
‘’eh? You’re not gonna reply it?’’ Ryo asked.
‘’I will, but not now.’’ Pi answered as then he questioning whether Ryo-chan knew the sender or not. But it seems that he didn’t know, he just curious why Pi straightly ignored the message without send a reply.
Yamapi sighed and then he grabbed the script and started to read it again.
