“Jaejoong..” A deep voice called.
I turned over and saw a familiar figure in front of me, but he looked strange too. The same familiar face but was wearing police uniform. I widened my eyes..
“TOP Hyung?”
“You finally recognize me?” TOP smiled at me and I blushed a little.
“Hyung.. why are you here?”
“I got exchanged here to study and learn how to be an assistant.”
“You were the one who saved Yunho and me right?” I asked.
TOP just smiled and ruffled my hair, “You have gotten prettier, no wonder you got into that kind of trouble. Be careful, this is Japan, not only girls, but pretty boys like you get harassed too.”
I nodded with a smile on my face: “But if you are here, then I am not afraid anymore.”
“You are still as innocent as before.” TOP said, “Come on, I will take you out for ice-cream.”
I stared at TOP and smiled, “You are still as caring as before.”
TOP smiled and said: “I remember ice-cream was always your favorite.”
I nodded and followed TOP out, after we ate ice-cream together, TOP took me back and told me to take care of Yunho well. He also said, no matter what if Yunho and I stick together then noting bad will happen to us.
I looked at this already grown up TOP in front of me, and I felt very happy for him and a little sorrow at the same time.
“Yunho ah..” I called and Yunho looked over. “What if Appa and Umma find out about us? They are not going to approve us at all.”
“Then we will just tell them that we love each other and nothing will separate us apart.” Yunho answered.
I looked at all the bruises on Yunho’s face, and I know it is not as easy as it seems. After a week, Yunho was able to come out from the hospital. I never went back to the hotel while Yunho was in hospital. Appa and Umma had asked me to go, but I rejected because I don’t want to leave Yunho in here alone.
I know Appa and Umma started to give me the weird looks, when I say that I want to stay with Yunho, but I didn’t know worse things was going to come up after Yunho come out from the hospital.
The only thing I know is..
“Oh Yunho! You have finally recovered, look who we have here!” Umma said happily and led Yunho toward their hotel room, and when the door opened, “Surprise!”
I widened my eyes while standing behind Yunho, and Yunho was speechless too..
“Hi.. Yunho ah..” Girl’s voice, “Long time no see.”
“W.. what are you doing here? Ji Hyun ah..” Yunho asked.
Ji Hyun looked over and Yunho and then me, then she just smiled a little and I could tell that she didn’t want to show up either.
“Yunho ah.. Ji Hyun and her parents are here to join us for the vacation. Aren’t you happy? You better treat her well, and you two are going to be in the same university too. Why don’t you two spend this vacation together too?” Umma said.
I could tell exactly why Ji Hyung is here now. Umma held onto my arm and said: “Jaejoong ah, Umma needs you help with something. Come on! Let’s go.”
I was being pulled away by Umma, and when I looked back at Yunho he was staring at me too and so was Ji Hyun Noona. Both of them were looking at me with a worried face.
Umma led me to her room, and there were Ji Hyun’s parents in there too, I didn’t have to do anything but to sit there and listen to them having conversations.
“I think they are perfect.” Mrs. Jeon said.
“Yeah! But isn’t it too early to plan their wedding?” Mr. Jeon added.
I looked over shocked.. what? Wedding? Who’s wedding? Yunho and Ji Hyun? But.. I could feel my heart beating so fast.. I looked over at Appa and Umma..
Umma: “Maybe a wedding is too early, how about we get them engaged, and then, they can get married whenever they want to later.”
Appa: “That’s a good idea.”
“When should we get them engaged?”
“Before they go to college I hope. Then they can really be a true couple in college, so no one would interrupt them.”
“Do you think Yunho and Ji Hyun would be okay with this?”
“Come on! They have been together for so long, I bet our Yunho is dying to get married to pretty Ji Hyun.”
My head is spinning at the second, and I felt as if I was glued to the chair. My heart was bleeding and I was shocked from all these conversation that is going on. Why do I have to be the first one to know this? Why do I have to sit here and listen? Why? Why?
End of Jae’s pov..
“Yunho! Do you know why I am here?” Ji Hyun asked.
“Why? Why did my mom take Jae away?” Yunho asked and worried about Jae.
“They want us to get married!” Ji Hyun said with a serious face.
“What?” Yunho yelled and totally freaked out.
Ji Hyun: “I just found out about it too, at first, I was wondering why do I have to come to Japan.”
“That is not happening! I am going to tell Umma I can’t!” Yunho jumped up but Ji Hyun held him back.
Ji Hyun: “Calm down Yunho! You can’t go right now. Not when my parents are there also, your parents will feel awkward and there is no way they will agree to you and Jae then.”
Yunho thought for a second and then sat down: “You are right! But.. what if you don’t agree either way?”
“It is hard for them to agree upon you and Jae, because they have always seen you two as brothers, and even if you two are not blood related, you two are both boys. How would they approve that when they are in such a high class status in their field.” Ji Hyun said with a sigh, “Poor Jae.. he is going to cry again..”
“I am not going to make him cry, I will talk to my parents tonight!” Yunho said.
Ji Hyun patted on Yunho’s shoulder: “Good luck! I hope I can help you, but I have no saying in my marriage just like you. And it is better not to let my parents know about you and Jae yet.”
Yunho nodded: “Thank you for telling me!”
Ji Hyun left the room, and Yunho waited for Jae. After a few hours, Jae opened the door and he looked as if his soul has gone out from his body.
Yunho looked over and asked: “What’s wrong Jae?”
“Yunho.. Appa and Umma are planning on your engagement in the other room, and I just snacked out..” Jae said without looking at Yunho, and his voice was so calm.
“So you know too?” Yunho walked over and asked.
He sat down next to Jae and hugged Jae in his embrace, but suddenly, Jae pushed him away. Yunho looked over at Jae, and Jae said: “Yunho.. Appa and Umma are not going agree with our relationship. Let’s just stop it right here!”
“No! Do you remember the times when you want to give up before, and I told you I will never break up with you again?” Yunho said.
Jae looked up at Yunho: “But.. what can we do now?”
“We will go tell them! We will tell them that we are together and I am not getting married with anyone.” Yunho said firmly.
Jae looked up at Yunho, and Yunho whispered: “At least we have to try, we will never know before we try. Right?”
Jae looked down and bit onto his lips, slowly, Yunho left up Jae’s face and placed a gentle kiss on Jae’s rosy lips. Jae returned the kiss but inside he knows that he is already starting to break into pieces.
Yunho hugged onto Jae and they both just lied on the bed waiting for the time to pass.. slowly, the room turned dark, and their hearts are sinking down to the very bottom. Tonight is the night that they will have to tell their secret and hoping for their parent’s understanding.. event though, Yunho knows the hope is not even visible, but he is not letting go of Jae. They have been through too much to separate now.
“Jae..” Yunho whispered, “Are you ready to go?”
Jae looked over at Yunho and tears were smearing his vision: “Yunho.. I am scared..”
“Don’t be.. I will be beside you, no matter what..” Yunho said.
Jae nodded and both of them got up as they slowly walking over to the room their parents are staying in.
Knock.. Knock..
Everything seemed to go silent, and slowly, the door knob turned, but this time Yunho didn’t let go of Jae’s hand. Jae looked over at Yunho and then back to the slowly opening door..
“Yunho.. Jae.. you two..” Mrs. Jung said and looked at their connected hands.
Yunho pulled Jae into the room and closed the door. Mr. Jung looked up from his newspaper, and the whole room was in silent.
Yunho opened his mouth and then closed it, slowly, he turned his head away and suddenly kneeled down on the ground. Jae looked over at Yunho and he did the same.
“What are you two doing?” Mr. Jung called.
“Appa.. Umma.. I am sorry! I am very sorry for lying to you two the whole time. I didn’t meant to keep our secret behind you two’s back, but I don’t want to see you two getting so upset because of us.” Yunho said and he gulped a little, “But, I have to say it today before it will never come out from my mouth. I love Jaejoong! I love my brother, Jung Jaejoong! Not as a brother, but as a lover.”
*Slap*
A hard slap was delivered on Yunho’s face, and Jae gasped as he looked up at his Appa’s mad face in front of his eyes.. never had he seen his Appa getting so pissed off before.. Jae cried in silent and looked over at Yunho..
