“No! Appa!” Jae cried and crawled over to Mr. Jung, “Please, don’t hit Yunho. It is not his fault! I was the one who seduced Hyung! Please don’t hit Hyung!”
Yunho hugged Jae back: “Shh.. don’t cry.. Jaejoong ah.. I am here.. I will protect you.”
Mrs. Jung stared at Yunho and Jae, and suddenly, she sat down hard on the bed and cried. She can’t believe, these two kids that once moved her by hugging onto each other, but today, she will have to separate these two kids apart. She was the one who told Yunho to protect Jae, but today, she has to tell Yunho to let go of Jae.
Mr. Jung rushed over and pulled Jae away from Yunho, and turned to Mrs. Jung: “What are you doing? Stop crying! Take Jaejoong to another room!”
Mrs. Jung wipes away her tears and grabbed onto Jae’s arm, Jae cries: “Umma.. please.. tell Appa don’t hit Yunnie..”
“Appa, please, don’t hit Yunho!” Jae begged again, and Mr. Jung sighed..
“Go with Umma, I promise, I won’t hit Yunho!” Mr. Jung said with a somewhat calm voice.
“Jaejoong..” Yunho turned over, “Go with Umma first, I will talk to Appa. Trust me! Go first!”
Jae nodded and wipes his tears away, and then he left with Mrs. Jung. Yunho turned over and still kneeling down on the ground, Mr. Jung sighed: “Get up.”
“No, I won’t get up until you approve Jae and me.”
“That’s not possible! How can you expect a father to accept his two sons turn gay and fall in love with each other?”
“Jae is not my real brother!”
“But he is your brother to everyone else, and he is a guy!” Mr. Jung yelled. “I cannot approve that!”
Yunho: “Fine! If you don’t approve, then I am not getting married either. I am going to stay beside Jae as a brother for the rest of my life.”
Mr. Jung: “Yunho! Don’t be stupid, do you really think you can just say these childish things to me? You are going to get married to Ji Hyun! Yunho ah, you are my son, and you have to think about my social statues. I know you think love is everything for your age, but I am your father, I know you care about Jae, but do you not care about your father? Your mother?”
Yunho bits onto his lips, and looked away, “But how can I marry Ji Hyun if I am in love with Jae?”
“You are too young.. you don’t even know what is love..” Mr. Jung said, “Come on Yunho! You just love Jae too much as a brother, and maybe, Jae and you are too close and you are just confused. I know my son, Yunho, you are too young.”
Yunho felt mad, how can his father tell him who he loves and what he feels? Yunho wanted to yell, but he knows better than to get his father pissed. He knows that he needs to calm his father down for now, because there is no way to get him to approve him and Jae now. His father cares too much about their family’s face and the status in the society, and it is better not to argue anymore. But Yunho already has something else planned in his mind already..
Jae’s side..
Mrs. Jung pulled Jae into Jae’s new hotel room, and when the door closed, she immediately hugged onto Jae tightly.
“Jaejoong ah.. Jaejoong ah..” Mrs. Jung cried, “Umma is sorry. Umma shouldn’t have told you that you are adopted. I know this made you and Yunho have special feelings for each other. Umma is sorry, I always wanted a girl and I have always treated you as a little girl because you look so pretty.”
“Umma.. don’t cry.. Umma..” Jae cried too, “I am sorry, it is all my fault. I should have only seen Yunho as a brother, I am very sorry.”
Mrs. Jung lets go of Jae and held onto Jae’s arms: “Joongie ah, Umma loves both of you so much, and Umma would never want to see any of you get hurt. Listen to Umma, you are not really in love with Yunho. You two are too young to even realize what is love, Umma promise you, you will find someone else you love way more than Yunho.”
“Umma.. I do love Yunho..” Jae said softly.
Mrs. Jung shakes her head: “You have always been with Yunho, and Yunho is stranger than you, so that’s why you think Yunho can protect you no matter what happens to you. But that is not love, Jae ah, you will find someone else that is right for you.”
“Umma..” Jae looked at Mrs. Jung crying so much and he felt his heart hurting to hurt his Umma who has always been treating him so well.
“I am sorry Jaejoong ah! Umma beg you, please, leave Yunho for good. Umma promise you, Umma will find you someone else. Umma promise you, I will find you someone good looking and rich. He will give you all the happiness you ever look for.” Mrs. Jung cries and holds onto Jae’s hands and shaking a little.
Jae looks at his Umma begging him like this and he whispered: “Umma.. I am sorry..”
“Promise Umma, okay?” Mrs. Jung asked.
Jae bits onto his lips as he closes his eyes and slowly nodded his head..
Mrs. Jung hugs Jae: “I know Jaejoongie is the sweetest ever. Thank you Jaejoong ah! Umma promise you, I will find you someone else compatible with you.”
Jae closes his eyes and felt his tears rolling down his face none stop, pov- Yunho ah.. I am sorry.. I can’t hurt Umma like this, I am sorry.. I guess this is really the end for us.
The night..
Jae hugged himself to sleep in the new room that his parents opened for him in the hotel, and he kept his eyes shut, because he is afraid that he will have to look at the darkness all by himself now.
Knock.. knock..
Jae twitched a little..
Knock.. Knock..
Jae slowly opened his puffy eyes, and looked over to the door..
“Jaejoong ah..”
“Yunho?” Jae called after hearing Yunho’s face.
Jae jumped off from the bed and rushed over to the door. Yunho’s face showed up after Jae opened the door..
Jae throws himself to Yunho: “Yunho ah..”
Yunho: “Jae! Come on! Hurry! Pack your stuff!”
“What?” Jae asked confused.
Yunho rushed into the room: “Come on! Don’t just stand there, we are leaving.”
“Where are we going?” Jae asked.
Yunho held onto Jae’s shoulder and said quickly: “Jaejoong ah, Appa and Umma will not agree to us. If you love me, let’s leave together.”
“Yunho.. how can we leave Appa and Umma? They only have us.” Jae objected. “And, I promised Umma to leave you already.”
“Jaejoong, how can you give up on our love so easily? Appa and Umma are only saying that because they care too much about their face and status. But I love you, and I can’t let you go. Let’s go! Let’s leave together and I will support you with all my might. I will make you happy. I promise you, I will never leave you.” Yunho said.
“But..” Jae hesitated.
“Would you leave with me or would you rather stay here and watch me get married with a girl?” Yunho asked.
Jae looked away, and Yunho sighed: “Fine.. I get it.. you don’t love me.. then I will leave by myself, because I won’t marry anyone else but you. Even if you are not leaving with me, then I am leaving by myself.”
Yunho walked toward the door, but Jae suddenly held onto Yunho’s hand and whispered: “Wait Yunnie.. I.. I will go with you..”
Yunho turned over and smiled: “Really?”
Jae nodded: “Yeah.. but where are we going?”
“Let’s go back to Korea and then I will find a job. Trust me Jae, I will give you happiness.” Yunho said.
Jae nodded and hugged onto Yunho: “Of course! I trust you!”
Yunho smiled, and then both of them started to pack. Quickly, they gathered all their belongings and holding onto each other’s hands. They walked toward the front door of the hotel.
“Yunho.. Jaejoong..” A soft voice called.
Yunho and Jae stopped and thought someone found out, slowly, they turned back. But it was Ji Hyun..
“Ji Hyun ah..” Yunho called.
Ji Hyun rushed over and looked at them: “You two are leaving?”
Yunho sighed: “Yeah.. there is no other choice..”
Jae looked over: “Noona, I am very sorry. Plus tell Appa and Umma, we love them, but we can’t leave each other.”
Ji Hyun wipes away her tears, and slowly, she took out an envelop: “Here are all the money I have on me. Take it, and be careful from now on.”
Yunho looked at it and said: “Ji Hyun ah.. I am sorry.. you don’t have to..”
Ji Hyun: “Take it! This is not much, but this is all I can do to help you two.”
Jae took the money and said: “Thank you Noona, please take care of our parents for us.”
Ji Hyun nodded and Yunho held onto Jae’s hand as they stepped out from the hotel.. from now on.. there is no one else in their hearts but each other..
Ji Hyun sighed pov- Yunho ah.. I will pray for you everyday from now on..
