I sat there for a while and then I heard feet-steps coming this way and the door opened in front of my eyes. There.. Yunnie is holding hands with his girlfriend, Katie, and they are standing in front of the door.
“Katie, this is my bedroom and I share it with Jaejoong.” Yunho said and showed Katie around our room.
Katie looked at me and smiled a little, and then she walked around the room to look at our pictures on the wall or in the frame on the table. She turned back to Yunho: “You two have so many pictures together.”
I looked at her and then she walked back to Yunho: “But I don’t get it Yunnie, why do you share a room with your brother when there are so many rooms in here?”
I felt a little surprised at her question and looked over at Yunho, also, she just called Yunho.. Yunnie.. I thought I was the only one to call him that.
“Oh, Joongie can’t fall asleep without me next to him, that’s why, we still share the same room.” Yunho said.
I looked up at Yunho, so it is just because I can’t fall asleep so he shares the room with me? I thought we both needed each other to fall asleep at night. Am I making things harder for Yunho?
I got up and walked out from the door, then I hard Katie said: “What’s wrong with your brother? Is he mad that I am here?”
Yunho replied: “No.. he is fine.. he is just a little shy.”
Katie: “I still think you are old enough to have your own room. I have a sister too, and I asked for a room after I got into middle school, because I would study late and she needs to get more sleep than I do. It is more convenient that way for both of you.”
After hearing this, I walked away and rushed into the bathroom. I don’t know why, but the thought of being separated from Yunho and not be able to sleep next to him made me want to cry.
I sat in the bathroom and hugged onto my legs while tears smearing my vision. I could hear the laughter coming from our bedroom next to the bathroom. Maybe it is time to move out from Yunho’s room and let him have his privacy. Now that he has a girlfriend and he needs the privacy more.
I am grown up already, and I can live by myself. I can’t claim onto Yunho all on the time, because sooner or later, we will have to be separated..
End of pov..
For the first time, Jae realized that he will have to live on a life by himself in the future, and Yunho won’t be there with him all the time. Yunho already found a girlfriend, and soon, Jae knows there will be someone for him also.
Jae looked up and wipes his tears away as he rested his head on his knees. Without notice, Jae fell asleep in the bathroom with tears smearing all over his face.
Mrs. Jung asked the driver to send Katie home before dinner so Katie’s parents wouldn’t be worried about her. She was very happy to see Yunho getting his first girlfriend and she thought they looked so cute together. But after Katie went home, Mrs. Jung and Yunho noticed that Jae was nowhere in sight.
“Umma, have you seen Joongie?” Yunho asked worriedly.
Mrs. Jung walking around the house: “No! I haven’t see him, I thought he was in the bedroom but he wasn’t there. Oh gosh! I forgot about him the whole time, where could he go?”
Yunho rushed up the stairs and he had a feeling, Jae must be in this house, because he is very afraid of going out from the house other than school, Jae never went to anywhere by himself. Yunho searched in every room and he stopped in front of the bathroom next to the bedroom.
The door was closed but not locked, and Yunho turned the knob while opening the door found Jae sleeping in a corner hugging onto his body. Yunho widened his eyes and stared at Jae’s little body crawled into a ball shape in the corner.
Yunho walked in and bent down as he found Jae’s face was still covered with tears, Yunho whispered: “Joongie.. why did you cry again?”
Yunho’s movement woke Jae up, and he slowly lifted up his head. Jae rubs his eyes and looks over at Yunho’s face: “Yun.. Yunho..”
Jae called Yunho for the first time in front of Yunho’s face, because he has always called Yunho, Yunnie, so this made Yunho felt very upset and a little shocked. Yunho: “Jae.. what’s wrong?”
Jae shakes his head and stood up: “Nothing, I wanted to take a nap, and I couldn’t find a place to sleep since Katie Noona was here.”
“Joongie!” Yunho called and Jae walked forward a few steps but his legs were asleep and he falls forward.
Yunho quickly reached over and caught Jae in his hands: “Jaejoong ah!”
Jae closed his eyes but when he opened them, he was already in Yunho’s arms. Jae looked over at Yunho’s face, and Yunho carries Jae up in his hands. Jae wants to get out from Yunho’s hold, but Yunho hugged onto Jae tighter: “Don’t move around, Joongie! Let me carry you out from the bathroom first.”
“Joongie!” Mrs. Jung called and walked into the bathroom, “Oh good! Yunho, you can always find Jae. Jaejoong ah, Umma cooked dinner for you and you can have extra desert today. Sorry, Umma forgot about you. Come out to eat.”
Jae looked over at Mrs. Jung: “Umma..”
Yunho carries Jae out from the bathroom to the dining room and helps him to sit on his chair. Jae looks away from Yunho and still felt upset with Yunho but he doesn’t know the reason.
Mrs. Jung placed all the food she made on the table as Mr. Jung and Yunho sat down in their seats as well. Jae stared at the food the whole time, but then he suddenly looked up and called: “Appa.. Umma..”
Mr. and Mrs. Jung looked over at Jae: “What is it Joongie?”
Jae looked over at Yunho and then looked away: “I want to have my own room. Can I have my own bedroom?”
Yunho widened his eyes and stared at Jae while shaking his head. Mrs. Jung: “Joongie! Why do you suddenly want your own room?”
Jae looks down: “Well.. I talked to Su and Min, they said they all have their own room. I want my own room too. There are so many rooms on the second floor, can I have one as my own bedroom?”
Mr. Jung looked over at Jae and nodded: “Jae is right. He should have his own room now and next year he will get into middle school as well. Yunho and Jae can’t sleep together all the time, because they will distract each other from studying and other things.”
Mrs. Jung looked over and nodded: “Okay, Joongie! You can have your own room. I will ask the maids to make your bedroom right now.”
Jae smiled a little and said: “Thank you.. Appa.. Umma..”
Without looking at Yunho, Jae started to eat the food in his plate. Yunho stared at Jae the whole time while eating and he felt very upset that Jae asked to be separated from himself..
After dinner..
Jae walked toward the stairs, and Yunho pulled Jae on the arm called: “Jae..”
Jae turned over and looked at Yunho. Yunho asked: “Why did you want to move out? Are you mad at me? Are you mad at what Katie said today?”
Jae shakes his head: “No, I am not mad! Katie Noona was right. It is not convenient for us to live together anymore, and sooner or later, we will have to be separated anyways. Both of us will move out from here too. I think it is about time I grow up and stop being a baby anymore.”
Yunho stared at Jae’s face, because this is the first time Yunho had heard Jae speaking so maturely. The usual Jae who had always been behaving like a baby suddenly disappeared, and for the first time, Yunho realized Jae is someone who has his own personality, own thoughts and own ideas instead of the little baby that needs to be taken care by him the whole time.
Yunho: “Joongie..”
“Yunho ah.. call me Jae from now on please.. Su and Min always make fun of me when they hear you call me that.” Jae said and walked up the stairs.
Yunho looked down and felt very desolated as he watched Jae’s back disappearing from the end of the stairs..

The night..
Yunho lies on his bed and looked over at the empty spot next to his bed. This is the first night Jae isn’t beside him or in his arms, and Yunho felt so empty inside. He never wanted Jae to move out from his bedroom, but apparently, Jae had different thoughts and Yunho thought he should respect Jae’s decision.
However, at the same time, Jae had been under his covers crying to himself in a room not far from Yunho’s bedroom. Jae hugged onto himself and doesn’t want to poke his head out from the blanket because he is afraid of dark.. most importantly, he is afraid to look at a room without Yunho inside..
Jae cries softly pov- Yunnie, I miss you.. I don’t want to be separated from you.. but I will distract you and your life, and I know you want your privacy, but is it wrong for me to claim onto you? Because I need you beside me and I miss you so much.. is it wrong to love my own brother like this?
Yunho hugged onto a teddy-bear and closed his eyes as he sighed hard, pov- Why do I feel so warm hugging onto Joongie? Even though his body is cold all the time and he needs my warmth to warm him up. I love the feeling of hugging onto him more than anything in the world. Is it wrong to love Joongie so much like this? He is my brother though adopted, and I have been with him ever since he came into the family. It is natural for me to love him so much, right? But I don’t even feel the same way with Katie, even though she is my girlfriend.
Yunho turned over to face the wall, and at the same time, Jae was facing the wall under his blanket also. A few walls apart, Yun and Jae are facing each other and thinking about each other at this night that they were separated from each other for the first time..
Yunho calls: “Joongie..”
Jae calls with a little bite of a crying voice: “Yunnie..”
Yun/Jae: “I miss you!”
