He was curious but he never asked. He fears of disturbing what she was thinking about so he probably decided to keep his question or cease his self from speaking or asking anything. He was carrying NeeSah’s bag… he has been there behind her. He was constantly looking at her, taking glances of her face secretly. Until he decided to do it, after all, nothing will be lost if he’ll ever try to ask it.
“NeeSah, I know that… even though I’m your boyfriend…” his only words, it was cut off when NeeSah answered immediately.
“I’m okay, KiBum, nothing to worry about.” she said with a cheerless face.
“A-are you sure, sweetie?” he asked sweetly, still walking behind her.
“Yeah, thanks for the concern.” She said as she looked slightly at him and smiled weakly.
“O…kay.” he said and kept quiet again.
They reached the van, MeiRin and DongHae entered first and they sat at the back seat making it completely occupied. NeeSah sat on the second row and beside him was KiBum, still hugging NeeSah’s bag. It was a green bag given by Kibum to NeeSah on her sixteenth birthday. [xD]
From them on, he would swiftly glance at her… she was just quiet, looking at the view, thinking of something.
***I wonder what’s been disturbing her since this morning.*** KiBum thought as he looked at her calmed yet nervous face.
“Hey, KiBum.” YooJin called after pinching KiBum’s right arm.
“What?” he answered.
“It’s okay if you want to kiss her.” YooJin giggled.
“Yeah.” he answered.
YooJin and Karen’s giggles went off as he answered ‘yeah’.
“What’s with them?” Karen whispered to YooJin.
“No idea. She’s been quiet since this morning and KiBum; I think NeeSah has a contagious sadness.” YooJin whispered back.
They giggled again.
“Stop giggling. Can’t you feel the bad aura?” MeiRin hissed at them.
“Okay, okay. Chill.” they said and kept quiet.

They all went to their base. NeeSah was seated at the back; DongHae and Kibum were on the front while the other team members practice on the field. The other team, HanBei team was on their base, watching Kaika players’ every movement.
“I’m sure we’ll win.” someone whispered to someone as the watched MeiRin throw the ball.
“Of course. They’re WAY TOO FAR from us.” the second one said.
“Stop hissing there and prepare yourselves.” the team manager instructed.
“Sorry.” they both answered and went fixing theirselves.
“They’re underestimating them.” ShoRi said, seated at one side, crossed legs and arms.
“Yeah.” the manager answered as she sat down beside ShoRi.
At the Kaika base,
“NeeSah,” Kibum said as he sat beside her. “What’s wrong? I’ve been keeping my self on asking you this.” he added.
“Nothing.” she answered coldly.
“Are you sure?” he asked again.
“Yeah.” she answered.
[FLASHBACK]
NeeSah went to the doctor the day before she met ShoRi.
“I’m warning you, NeeSah, if you still want your foot to completely recover, don’t play.” the doctor advised.
“I can’t do that. I have to play. I HAVE to.” she said.
“Why are you decided with that?” the doctor asked.
“I…”
“I what?”
“I want to keep someone… i… I don’t want to lose him…” NeeSah answered.
“KiBum?” the doctor asked.
“Yeah.” NeeSah answered.
“NeeSah, that’s not just the way to protect someone. There are still more ways… one is to keep yourself free from any danger.” the doctor said.
“But… she might take him from me.” NeeSah whispered as tears came from her eyes.
“Protecting someone is not just shown in fighting with others… but with also protecting yourself. Let’s just say you won, but… you’ve worsen your injury… what will happen then? Will it be the same? Yes, you won, but there’s still something you lost with…” the doctor explained.
“I HAVE TO.” NeeSah whispered and stood up.
It was a sign… the doctor did not argue with her anymore knowing that she can’t do anything to stop her.
She sighed and stood up too.
“Okay, take this, it’ll help you play for an hour or two… but as I have said, everything has a consequence.” the doctor reminded.
“Okay.” she answered. “Thanks.” She added and went out of the clinic.
The doctor sighed. “Kids… why did they fall in love in such an early time?” she said.
[END OF FLASHBACK]
NeeSah stood up.
“Where are you going?” KiBum asked.
“Comfort room.” she answered and went out from the base.
MeiRin came running from the center of the field. She was catching her breath.
“Where’s NeeSah?” she asked as she puffs.
“Comfort room.” KiBum answered.
“Okay.” MeiRin said and went after NeeSah.
NeeSah was standing in front of the mirror, looking at the bottle of pills for pain reliever.
“Two hours, no more, no less. Use it and you can make twenty pitches and limitless run… but after the game, two hours after you intake this, I don’t know how much but… there’s pain, all over your foot… and… what’s worst is… it could worsen your injury. If you play with this drug, yes, you won’t feel the pain… but much force will be exerted at your foot, especially you’re a right handed person… and it might worsen the injure or what’s more… it might be the last time you’ll be playing baseball. Two solutions, a rehab at Germany, or no more baseball career for you. It depends on the outcome of the game…” it kept ringing on her head, the words the doctor told her before she left the clinic.
“NeeSah!” MeiRin called as she puffs from the outside of the comfort room.
NeeSah immediately hid the bottle at her pocket.
“W-why?” NeeSah answered.
“The game will start in a few minutes, let’s go.” MeiRin said.
“O-okay, I’ll just follow.” NeeSah said.
“Okay, I’ll wait for you there.” MeiRin said and left.
NeeSah faced the mirror again and took out the bottle from her pocket. She twisted the cap, she took one pill, and intake it.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the game will start in a few minutes, please take your desired seats now and reduce your standing.” SungMin announced.
“Good morning, audience, viewers and players, today we will see who is the best baseball team here, Kaika High Baseball team or HanBei Middle High’s Team. It is a fight for dignity, it is a fight for fame and most of all and it is a fight for the championship title. Who will win; the all round champion team, or the team who was once just a dream team?” KangIn added.

After five minutes,
“Ladies and gentlemen, the game will now start.” KangIn said.
“For the first inning, taking the offense, HanBei Middle High.” SungMin announced.
“For the first batter, HanBei first baseman, Yun TaeYeon.” the girl announcer said.
TaeYeon went to the batting zone. MeiRin focused her shot. This time, NeeSah was placed at the third base due to her injury. The opposing team knows about her injury… and they would probably take every chance to worsen it…
TaeYeon intently hit the ball towards the third base, where NeeSah was standing. She tried to catch it, she run to catch the ball, she could feel the pain, she was going to catch it but she fell down.
