A Tale from the Sakura Park [COMPLETED]

Chapter 29

Saranghae~~

Six more long months passed… and it was the time for her to come back. She stood up from bed and get ready. She can walk normally now and she can feel the big difference since she went to that rehabilitation. One and a half more hour and her mom and dad would be coming to fetch her. She took a bath… as soon as she’s done; she wore her school uniform for she’ll go straight to her school.

Minutes passed; as she watched her friends play baseball. Someone approached her.

“NeeSah, this will be your last day here, right?” she asked as she sat down beside her.
“Yeah… I’ll miss you guys.” NeeSah answered.

Then, someone appeared from the door, it was Doctor Watson with NeeSah’s father and mother. NeeSah stood up to welcome them as they walked towards her.

“NeeSah, how’s my baby?” Mrs. Yumiko asked as she hugged her daughter.
“I’m fine now, mom. How about you and dad?” she asked back.
“We’re okay. And by the way, your dad will be coming with us to Korea.” she answered gratefully.
“Really? You mean dad will be with us there?!” she asked.
“Yes, NeeSah.” her dad answered.
“YAY!” NeeSah shouted.

They went into the car as NeeSah’s close friend from the rehab center watched them. Teary eyed, they waved good bye to a friend whom it’ll still take time to come visit them again.

“Good bye NeeSah… come visit us again, okay?” Korin said.
“We’ll be waiting for you.” Kansu added.
“I’ll try! Good bye! Take good care of your selves.” NeeSah said as the van started to move.

They waved as the van began to be farther from them…

The next day,

Back to Korea…

KiBum was seated on the chair, looking outside, and thinking of her. As the teacher explains the Math lessons, KiBum’s mind was wondering… how long she will be there… when she’ll be back… and when is the time that he’ll be able to hug and kiss her again…

As he gazed at the clouds, he pictures everything back there… when they were together… when they would always be at the Sakura Park, watching those kids playing at the ground… the birds that fly above… and the sun which lights the whole place happily.

The bell rang, a sign that recess is the next one. He stood up as the teacher left and his classmates started talking to each other. Some went out and some stayed just to have chat. He went out the room and hurriedly ran his way to the field. The same scenes, the same baseball team players were at the field, playing baseball. I sure miss those days… when I always see her running there… and then she would wave at me and call me…

I went to the field and sat at a corner, watching them run around…

“Ten laps!” the new team manager said. Oh yeah, the old one… FeiLin, she’s not here anymore… she transferred to France already for her family decided to migrate there. It was sad, first, NeeSah didn’t know it… and then… she’ll never be coming back again, even just for once…

As I look at them… someone from behind spoke.

“KiBum.” the voice called.

I know… I know that voice… as I turn around, the wind blew her hair, and her smell, her familiar smell… it made me smile…

“Nee… Sah…” KiBum slowly uttered as he saw him.
“Hi there!” she greeted with a smile.

KiBum smiled and ran immediately towards her. He hugged her tightly… as tightly as he can.

“KiBum…” she said and hugged him back.
“Hey, look.” MeiRin said, pointing over KiBum and NeeSah.
“NEESAH!” they shouted and immediately ran towards them.

“NeeSah! You’re back!” they shouted and hugged her… with KiBum.[xD]

Wow… this place, it didn’t change a bit.” NeeSah said as she walked around with KiBum.
“Are you free to play again?” he asked.
“Yeah… all free now.” she happily said.
“I see…” he said and hugged her. He then kissed her lips.

And so… the story ends there… but for a little scoop in what happened years after…

NeeSah was sitting under a tree, probably in her thirty years of age. KiBum went beside her and sat.

“KiBum…” she said, looking at the trees of Sakura.
“We’re old now…” he said.
“Yeah…” she agreed.
“They have been the witness to our love story…” he sweetly said.
“Mom, Dad!” two kids shouted.

They were probably in their ninth year of age… they came running towards them. KiBum and NeeSah welcomed them with a hug.

“How’s my Cupcake?!” NeeSah asked her daughter.
“I’m fine mom!” she answered.
“How about my brownies?” she asked, touching her son’s cheeks.
“I’m fine too mom!” he answered.
“You’re done playing already?” Kibum asked.
“Yes, pop. Let’s go home now!” they both answered.
Kibum smiled. “Okay.”

The four of them stood up and began walking.
