Chapter 25

Acting weird...

(Pandara P.O.V)

It has been days since I been laying here doing nothing it is so frustrating. My little secret was safe however, and I am glad. It was so hard to have the doctor finally agreeing with me to not tell TOP that I was pregnant. He eventually accepts.
“Doctor, can I leave today?” I asked as he looked over my wound.
“Yes you may, your wound is heeling so it safe for you to rest at home.” He told me.
“Thanks.”
“One more thing, if you start vomiting it is normal it one of the symptoms of early pregnancy.” He told me.
“Well this happen often?” I asked.
I really don’t want anyone to be suspicious of me.
“Yes, it normal really” It not about the normalness I’m having difficulty with, is the fact that it might be a huge give away if TOP knew about pregnancy, I just hope he doesn’t…

*At the house (hint): the house TOP bought for Pandara families.*

(Sandy P.O.V)

We discharged Pandara unni from the hospital, she looked so happy to get away from the hospital. I even giggled at her silliness, we walked inside the house, umma was waiting just inside, umma had awaken just 2 days ago, and wanted to get out of the hospital, the doctor had encourage her to stay a bit longer but she wouldn’t hear of it. She had ensured us that she was perfectly fine.
“I’m so glad to be out of the”—
I looked at Pandara unni, who suddenly went still, she grabbed her mouth, “Unni? Unni what’s wrong?”
She dash to the restroom, we followed with fear and anxiety for her, “Unni! Unni what’s wrong? Are you ok? Unni?” I called out to her.
“Yes I’m fine.” She said through the door, “Just an upset stomach.”
Whew! That was a relief.
“Sandy, what’s wrong with Pandara?” umma asked me.
“She fine umma, she said she just has an upset stomach.” Umma didn’t look like she believes me. I wonder why.
She came out her face look so pale, “Unni? You sure your ok?” I asked again just to make sure.
“Yes I’m fi”—
She covered her mouth and ran back into the bathroom I could here the gut wrenching vomit sound she was making, I wasn’t sure if it was just an upset stomach. Maybe I’m just thinking too much…

(TOP P.O.V)
I still don’t know what to say to Pandara I have hurt her too much to even ask her to consider my apology. I walk the step to her umma house, when I walked in my eyes scan the room to where Pandara laid, she looks so different, and her face was pale and emotionless, what’s wrong?
I cleared my throat, “Pandara, it’s time to go home.” Home…it sounded so foreign on my tongue.
She nodded and got up, then she stiffens, she took her hand and covered her mouth and ran inside the bathroom, “What’s wrong with her?” I demanded her sister to tell me.
“I don’t know, she been vomiting ever since she came out of the hospital, she claim it to be an upset stomach.
After hearing this I wanted so much to follow her into the bathroom and help her. “If she is still sick why didn’t you let her stay at the hospital a little longer?” I demanded.
“She said she was well, and that she didn’t want to stay at the hospital anymore.” Her sister Sandy told me.
“It your fault anyway my unni is in this condition.” Her youngest sister Daleen said to me.
“Daleen!” her umma shriek.
It hit me then, it is my fault she like this, I never meant it to be like this. Well not getting her shot, but…how will she forgive me for all the sins I’ve done to her?
Just then she came out of the bathroom, her face looked paler then before, her eyes were red and watery. I went over to her, but she ran from me and back into the bathroom with her gut wrenching vomiting.

(At home)

We finally got back home, she wouldn’t quit vomiting. As soon as we got home I arranged for dinner, we all sat at the table, when her nose twitch, “What is that smell?”
She said, “It really reeks,” we looked at her as if she lost her mind, but we smelled ourselves making sure it wasn’t us. When the servant girl brought her food, she smelled it once and she ran straight into the bathroom for another round of vomiting.
It was really weird; she was acting really weird…
