“Business man of the year” for 3 consecutive years rang in his mind. Is this really all worth the time from his life? He swirled his office chair towards the window that was overlooking the view of Taipei, and thought about his brothers that had been with him since they were young. Now, all of them were each busy with their own life.
Ah Si, who is helping his father helm the Dao Ming business, has been as busy as him. But, having San Chai made all the difference in Ah Si’s life. Ah Si wasn’t as busy as him, since he tried to make the effort of taking some time off work to spend it on San Chai.
Ximen shook his head, smiling ruefully at the memory. Ever since Ah Si’s accident, both of their feelings became even stronger than it already was. They both learnt to treasure their time that they had with each other, and even though they still quarrel everyday, they spent the better half of their time getting along harmoniously.
The same goes for Meizhuo and Lei.
Thank god for Xiao Qiao in Meizhuo’s life. Being new in the business of love, he is absolutely clueless on his feelings, and his stem of jealousy that he can’t seem to control whenever he sees Xiao Qiao with other man other than F4. If it’s not for Xiao Qiao, almost one-quarter of the male population in Taipei would be beaten up by Meizhuo.
Lei, he is still the same as before. However, with Jing back in his life, he became happier, and slightly more open towards them. He is still a quiet person, but in a different way and offering advices that none of the others would even think about. Thinking back, he felt that Jing was really silly to keep the illness to herself.
Yes, she was suffering from a minor but troublesome illness. Thinking of not being a burden to Lei, she decided to lie to him and leave him quietly, without thoughts of ever letting Lei know of her illness. However, as fate would have it, Lei made her while he was in Japan – in the hospital, and managed to convince her that she would not be his burden, and that, she, should fight for her own happiness.
So, here they are, all wrap in the cocoon of their love and happiness, and he, still the same as 4 years before. Work, work, and more work. Not wanting to waste more time, he turned back to the files in front of him, and started browsing through them. One of the files caught his attention. It was a proposal of a joint charity programme that was proposed to his company by SET TV general manager, Xu Zeya.
Flipping it through, he was deep in thoughts when a knock interrupted him. Alex, his secretary, came in to remind him about the day, and that he was to have his usual dinner with his parents.
“Gosh, time passed so fast. Another weekend is here." Sighing, he started to pack his things and head for home, at 6.30pm, which was much earlier than his usual time of 10 pm.
