Chapter 5

The time is up

" Tick~ Tock~ Tick~ Tock". The time is ticking. The one week that Wang Zi gave is almost up. But I still can't find a way to returned home. The mirror still looked the same. It doesn't glowed like that day. I sighed. But somehow inside my heart, I don't want to return home. The whole time staying with Wang Zi, I realize that he's not as bad as I think. We usually hang out together. He took me to various places and even taught me about electronic stuff.I think it's handy especially this cellphone that he gave me. I peeked down. He was fast asleep on the floor. I smiled.

Gui Gui: Wang Zi.. You look so cute when you're sleeping.

I chuckled as I took the cellphone and pressed the "click" button and took a photo of him sleeping. I smiled. I took another photo with him.

Gui Gui: Wang Zi.. There's something I want to tell you.

I speaked softly so I won't wake him up.

Gui Gui: I think that I might fallen in love with you. I know that we couldn't be together for long. You and me are from different world. But no matter, how much time left..

I paused.

Gui Gui: I hope that I could spend with you. Even the last second, I hope that I'm with you.

I smiled. I continue writing my diary.

I woke up and found Wang Zi missing from the floor. I walked out from the room and saw him preparing breakfast. I smiled.

Gui Gui: Good morning.
Wang Zi: Morning.

He flashed smile. He been smiling often now.

Gui Gui: What are you cooking?
Wang Zi: Something tradisional..

I looked at him curiously. He put down a bowl of porridge, a plate of mihun and my favorite dessert. It's the dessert that the palace's cook served.

Gui Gui: Wang Zi? That dessert..
Wang Zi: Why don't you give it a try?

I took a bite. It tasted delicious. The exact taste. No! Even better.

Gui Gui: It's delicious.
Wang Zi: You can eat it all.
Gui Gui: No! We can share together.

I took the fork and poke the dessert.

Gui Gui: Open your mouth!
Wang Zi: No!
Gui Gui: Ahhh.. Come on. Open up. Please...

I pouted and it worked. He opened his mouth and I feed him. I smiled. We finished up our food and as usual he puts all the plates into the dish washer.

Wang Zi: Come! I want to take you to somewhere.

He took my hand and hold it tightly. I blushed. We wanted to walk out when I realize the mirror is still in the room.

Gui Gui: Hold on. I forgotten something.

I quickly ran into the room and took the mirror. I put it into my beg and ran out. As usual, he drove around the city. But this time, it's different. The road seem unfamiliar.

Gui Gui: Wang Zi, where are we going?
Wang Zi: You will know.

He smiled. He drove to a different location. It's almost dawn when we reached on top of a mountain which we could see the whole city from down below.

Gui Gui: Wahh~ It's so beautiful from here. You could see the twilight from here.

I looked at him and smiled.

Wang Zi: Gui Gui.. Actually, I have something to tell you. It's about our deal.
Gui Gui: You mean the one week deal. I know it's coming up.
Wang Zi: No! I..

I looked at him curiously.

Wang Zi: I.. I...

He was eating his own words. Somehow, I guess what his sentences. Before he could say anything, I kissed him on his lips. I pulled back and saw his face turned red. He turned aside to hide his face. I chuckled.

Gui Gui: Wang Zi, you're so cute... I..

Suddenly, there's a light glow inside of my beg. I opened my beg and saw the mirror glowing. It's the exact glow as that day. I looked at Wang Zi.

Gui Gui: Wang Zi...
Wang Zi: Gui Gui.. All this while, you're telling the truth.

He hold my hands. I looked at myself as I faded slowly. I quickly looked at Wang Zi. For the last time.

Gui Gui: I knew this day will come. Wang Zi.. I..

I paused. He quickly panicked and pulled me into his arms.

Wang Zi: No! Gui Gui, don't go. I want to be with you. I want to take care you. No matter what happen, I'll be there for you. I love you.

I pulled back and looked at him. I smiled. Before I knew, I was back. To my own world. I looked at the mirror.

Gui Gui: Wang Zi... I love you too..

My tears came bursting out. I couldn't control it. Suddenly, the door opened and Ya Wen came in.

Gui Gui: Ya Wen!!

I ran towards her and hugged her tightly.

Ya Wen: Gui Gui.. What's wrong?

I couldn't say a word. My heart hurts so badly.

Ya Wen: Gui Gui, don't be sad. I know that yesterday emperor..

She paused. Wait! I'll been gone for a week. I pulled away from her.

Gui Gui: Ya Wen, you mean yesterday?
Ya Wen: Yea. We got caught and you're fighting with emperor.

I kept silent. The whole week is actually equal a day here.

Ya Wen: Gui Gui, what's wrong?

I quickly ran towards to my bed and took the mirror up.

Gui Gui: Mirror.. Please! I want to be with Wang Zi. Please.

No matter how hard I pleaded, the mirror doesn't showed a response. I kneeled down and cried.

Ya Wen: Gui Gui.. What's wrong?

I just kept quiet and cried. I could never see Wang Zi again.
