“Gentler, Bosco.” She grumbled, trying not to show any sign of pain on her face.
Bosco tried his best to be as gentle as possible because it hurt him to see Myolie in pain as well. He had rushed straight over to her house after receiving her call around midnight, and now she would staying temporarily at his apartment. It was not the first time that she would be sleeping over, given that she would always do this after a huge quarrel with her father.
“You should learn to get along with Uncle Wu, and not get into an argument each time both of you meet.” Bosco advised.
“He started it first. I merely went along with him.” Myolie shrugged, as she gently pushed Bosco’s hand away.
“I’m not finished yet…” He said.
“I’m tired. Goodnight, Bosco.” She murmured, returning to the guest room.
Bosco was aware that Myolie was deliberately avoiding him. She never liked to answer his questions regarding her family, and was particularly sensitive towards topics relating to her mother. Most of the time, he learnt her family background through occasional slips from Sharon, and finally got to know that there was bad blood between Myolie and her step-mother. As Bosco packed up the apartment with the arrival of Myolie and arranged her schedule for the following day, it was not until two hours before he could get to bed. Bosco popped his head into the guest room to check on Myolie, and found her to be soundly asleep. Walking into the room quietly, Bosco pulled the blanket properly and tucked her in, before noticing the bruise on her cheek.
“It must have hurt badly right?” He slowly stretched his hand out to caress her cheek gently.
She started to move a little upon his touch, and this caused him to quickly withdraw his hand. Luckily, she was not being roused awake. Silently, he left the room, and shut the door behind him.

“Dad, I’m seriously objecting to this blind date. How can you expect me to date a woman whom apparently broke up Aunt Christine’s marriage?” Raymond voiced out his opinion over breakfast.
“I’ve already decided on this matter. The blind date is scheduled 3 days later. Don’t spout any nonsense in front of her, or else I’ll make sure you suffer. If you do well, Christine’s marriage may be salvaged.” Lam Yu answered.
Raymond shut his mouth when he heard that this may be a solution to Christine’s marriage. In actual fact, he was dying for the divorce to proceed since he did not like Wong Hei, but given his aunt’s character, she would rather die than be separated from that man, so he was left with no choice. Raymond knew that he had to think of a method to get that third party away from his uncle. What should he do?
At that moment, Wong Hei was seen carrying a luggage bag, and heading for the door, while Christine was crying behind him.
“Please don’t go. It was my fault yesterday. I shouldn’t have thrown your phone. I’m terribly sorry, Hei, so please don’t go.” She pleaded in between sobs, and held onto his elbow tightly.
“Let go of me right now.” He ordered, and pushed her hand away.
Raymond stood up in an attempt to stop Wong Hei from hurting Christine further, but his father was one step quicker. Lam Yu intervened and tried to act as a peacemaker between this couple. After much effort in persuasion, Wong Hei finally relented and moved his belongings back, but he insisted on sleeping in a different room from Christine.
“Son of a bitch.” Raymond cursed under his breath, before grabbing his coat and left the mansion. He had no idea why Lam Yu was always being so good towards that ungrateful man whom was caught to be embezzling their company’s funds twice.

“Is that Bosco?” The man asked over the phone.
“Yes…Are you Uncle Wu?” Bosco recognized that it was Myolie’s father, although they only met a few times.
“Ha yes. Are you available for some coffee today?” Wu Dan asked.
Bosco thought for a while. Myolie would only finish in another hour or so.
“Yes, Uncle…” Bosco replied, and both of them arranged to meet in a café.
Bosco excused himself from the studio, and made his way there. He wondered what Myolie’s father wanted to discuss about. Both of them first met 4 years ago when Myolie decided to enter the modeling arena despite her father’s strong objections. Fortunately, everything was resolved when Bosco promised to protect and take care of his daughter during work time. He had arrived early, and ordered a cup of double espresso first. As he was taking the seat by the glass window, he suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure whom stopped near the building where the studio was located at. Bosco looked closer, and realized that the person was Wong Hei. What was he doing here? Did he come to look for Myolie? Bosco was worried that her father may catch Myolie and Wong Hei together later since they were in the same vicinity, and he was definite that a fierce quarrel would ensue.
“Bosco.” Wu Dan had arrived and joined him at the coffee table.
Bosco quickly regained his composure, and greeted him.
“You must be curious on my intention of approaching you today. It’s because I need your help in something regarding Myolie.” Wu Dan explained.
“I’ll be glad to help if I can.” Bosco smiled.
“You see, I’m sure you know about Myolie’s affair with a married man. I hope that their relationship can come to an end, so I’m thinking about fixing her up with other men of caliber.” Wu Dan said.
“You…you mean blind dates?” Bosco asked.
“Haha, as a matter of fact, yes. I hope that when she gets to know more men and widen her social circle, she will let go of that relationship. She doesn’t love the man at all, because I know that she’s doing this to provoke me. But, as a father, I still don’t wish that she gets into trouble later.” Wu Dan answered.
“So what can I do?” He asked again.
“I’ve fixed a date for her 3 days later. She definitely won’t turn up if I were to tell her. Can you cover up the date by telling her that it’s just work-related matters?” Wu Dan continued.
Bosco put on a reluctant smile, and nodded his head, “I’ll try my best.”

Wong Hei stood at a corner as he watched Myolie at work. He was planning to surprise her with this visit later.
“Alright, we shall end here today. Great job, Myolie!” The photographer complimented.
She smiled and muttered thanks. Looking around, she could not find Bosco anywhere in sight, before her eyes settled on a familiar face.
“You look great just now.” He said as he approached her.
“Only just now?” She winked mischievously at him.
He kissed her on the forehead, “No, everyday, every minute, every second.”
“What a sweet-talker.” She grinned with delight at his words.
“Isn’t that why you fell for me?” He smiled in return.
“Let’s have high tea together. I know of a good café nearby here.” Myolie suggested.
Soon, both of them were on the way to the café, holding hands together. Myolie secretly looked around for the presence of the paparazzi, but to her disappointment, there was none. She tried contacting Bosco through his cell phone just now, but nobody answered, and this made her a little worried. Bosco was all along a responsible person, and would definitely leave a note or message to her if he had to leave first. While she and Wong Hei were still strolling on the streets towards the café, she called him again.
“Who’s that you’re constantly calling?” Wong Hei asked out of curiosity.
“Oh, a friend.” She hid it from him, while continuing the call.
Bosco, whom was inside the café, caught sight of the couple right across the street. He started to panic a little, before trying to distract Wu Dan’s attention from looking out at the streets. Just when Bosco thought that the couple was about to enter the café, both of them suddenly turned and left in another direction.
“Are you alright, Bosco? You’re behaving strangely.” Wu Dan commented.
Bosco secretly heaved a sigh of relief when he was sure that they would not return. He smiled weakly at Wu Dan before excusing himself that he had something on now.

“Quick, help me think of ways to deal with that woman. I’m going to meet her 3 days later.” Raymond urged his elder brother.
They were now at a pub after their work ended. Bowie was busy flirting with a few other women, and did not bother about his younger brother. Raymond scowled in disgust as he headed off to look out for his own targets as well. Spotting a lonesome lady in a corner, Raymond approached her with a mug of beer, and started a casual chat with her. She played along with, casting the seductive glances and moving her hand around his thigh.
“How about having some quiet time together? I know of a great place.” Raymond suggested.
“That’ll be best.” She replied, as both of them stood up and headed for the exit.
Just as they were about to leave, Raymond caught sight of a lady being harassed by a group of men at a corner. He recognized the lady immediately. He cooked up an excuse to dismiss the woman whom was originally supposed to be with him. Walking over to the other lady, Raymond grabbed hold onto her wrist and pulled her forcefully out of the pub.
“Let go, you idiot.” She screamed, and pushed him away.
“You’re drunk. I’ll take you home now.” Raymond ignored her objections and pushed her into the car.
“Why are you sticking your nose into my business? We’ve already broken up, and sorry, we aren’t friends either.” She shot angrily at him.
“Stop being so childish, Linda. Throwing yourself into the arms of those men, can you get any cheaper than that?” Raymond commented sarcastically.
“Stop the car!!!” She screamed out, before attempting to jump out.
Raymond quickly braked, and she alighted. He followed after her with the intention of getting her back into the car.
“Stay out of my affairs please!” She shouted at him, feeling extremely irritated.
“If you’re trying to grab my attention back at the pub earlier on, I want to tell you that you’ve succeeded! Are you happy now? You know that I care for you, yet you deliberately try to hurt yourself just to get my attention. Don’t forget that you’re the one whom initiated the break-up back then.” Raymond answered out loud.
“Yes, it’s entirely my fault. You’re not wrong for sleeping with other women behind my back. You’re not wrong either for lying to me on countless occasions. Are you also satisfied with my answer now?” Linda cried.
“Well, you should be aware that I don’t love those women. It’s just fun, and more fun. It’s normal for men to flirt and play around once in a while. It’s not as if I didn’t care about you at all.” Raymond reasoned.
“Yes, you don’t love them,” Linda stared straight into his eyes, “Do you love me then? ‘I love you, Linda’ – you never once told me this when we were together. Am I merely one of the countless women whom you have?”
“I…” Raymond wanted to explain.
“Please leave me alone.” Linda cut him off, and walked away in tears.
It was such a simple sentence, but Raymond found it difficult to say it out in her face. Why was that so? Was it because he did not love her?

Myolie looked at her watch. It was close to 10pm already. Bosco had not answered or returned her calls at all. She was seriously getting worried.
“Myolie?” A familiar voice called out.
She looked up and found Bosco staring at her.
“Where have you been all day?” Myolie was glad that he was alright.
“I had some work to attend to. Are you waiting for me here?” He asked.
“I…no. I mean, I forgot to bring my keys out.” She stuttered.
“Oh.” He said, even though he was not quite convinced by her explanation.
“You don’t seem to believe my words.” She glared at him suspiciously.
“Of course not! Why should I doubt you?” He avoided her gaze.
Myolie reached over and pulled his ear gently towards her, “If you disappear without a word again, I’m not going to let you off so easily.”
“Aha, you’re worried about me.” Bosco concluded with a chuckle.
“No, I’m not.” She shot back.
Bosco grinned with pride. It felt good that he had occupied an important place in Myolie’s heart. But now, how should he go about telling her the blind date set 3 days later?
