“Wow, the room is spacious and big.” Myolie noted silently as she scanned around the surroundings.
Smith signaled for both of them to take a seat at the sitting room, while he went into another section of the room to retrieve the contract. Pouring them a glass of red wine each, he started explaining the terms and conditions in the contract, while Bosco listened on and Myolie had her attention on the glass of red wine. The taste’s perfect, she thought as she took another sip of it.
“If there’s no problem, you can sign here, Miss Wu.” Smith said.
Myolie looked over to Bosco, whom glanced through and nodded his head to acknowledge that the contract was fine. She accepted the pen and put her signature on it.
“All the best for our cooperation.” Smith raised his wineglass, and both of them followed suit.
Bosco excused himself to the washroom first, leaving Smith and Myolie alone in the sitting room. Smith waited for the door to close, before he made his way nearer towards Myolie. Trying to distract her attention by chatting with her some casual topics, Smith slowly ran his hand onto Myolie’s lap. However, Myolie’s vision started to get a little dizzy and blur, and her awareness of the surroundings dropped significantly. Smith grinned in delight, and closed in on her, becoming more daring with each move. Meanwhile, Bosco was getting a terrible stomachache in the toilet, and began wondering what he ate wrong. Just then, he caught sight of something suspicious in the dustbin placed right under the sink. Stretching his hand over and rummaging through the contents, Bosco discovered two empty packets of powder, and sniffed it. They were definitely of different content. Beginning to feel uneasy, Bosco quickly cleaned up himself, and quietly opened the toilet door. Taking a peek outside, he realized that Myolie and Smith were no longer in the sitting room.
“Damn it.” Bosco cursed under his breath, and tiptoed around the hotel suite, trying his best to ignore the immense pain in his stomach.
Hiding against the wall, Bosco turned and peeped into the bedroom. He saw the unconscious Myolie lying on the bed, while Smith was starting to undress himself. He needed to act fast, without putting a fight with Smith since his current physical condition would place him in an unfavorable position. Scanning around, his eyes landed on a golf club, and he went over to take it.
“Pretty girl, I’ve been waiting so long for you…” Smith stared lustfully at Myolie, before going on to remove her clothes as well.
All of a sudden, a huge impact landed on his head. Collapsing to the ground, Smith saw a blurry image of a man holding a golf club in his hands, before passing out unconscious. Bosco had ensured that he had not applied too much force, lest the Caucasian got injured badly. Pressing against his stomach, Bosco used much effort in lifting Myolie over his shoulder, and quickly made his way out of the hotel suite. Once outside, Bosco requested assistance from a bellboy, before he went unconscious as well.

She began stirring awake. Using her hand to press against her forehead due to a throbbing headache, her eyes slowly opened, before knowing that she was in her own bedroom.
“Are you alright, Myo?” Someone beside her asked in a concerned tone.
Soon, her vision became clearer, and she realized that it was Bosco. Sitting up on her bed, she nodded her head weakly. How did she end up here? She could hardly recall anything that happened before she was unconscious.
“Luckily, you’re fine,” Bosco said, “If not, I’ll be guilty for the rest of my life.”
“Ugh, what happened?” She asked, rubbing the back of her head.
“Well, that Smith was up to no good. He tried to take advantage of you, but fortunately, his plan didn’t succeed.” Bosco answered, passing her a cup of hot tea.
After drinking the tea, the memories started to return to her slowly. She remembered drinking the glass of red wine in the hotel suite, but the rest was still a blank to her. Looking over at Bosco, she realized that his face was rather pale and white, and his hand seemed to be constantly pressing against his stomach.
“You look terrible.” Myolie commented.
“Really? Yeah, maybe the effect of the drug hasn’t worn off yet…” Bosco tried to smile, so that Myolie would not be worried.
Just then, the door of her bedroom opened, and Raymond popped in, looking flustered and panicky.
“Gosh Myo, are you okay?” Raymond was panting real hard as he asked.
She nodded her head, “Did you run all the way here?”
“No,” Raymond shook his head, “I’m just lacking in doing exercises…Let me catch my breath first…” With that, he walked out of the room temporarily.
Myolie giggled at the sight of ‘breathless Raymond’. Bosco saw that Myolie had already recovered from the drug effect, and stood to leave first. She had wanted to confirm with him again if he was alright, but his hasty exit left her with no chance at all. After a moment, Raymond came in and checked up on her.
“I got such a huge scare when Bosco called me. Hmm, didn’t you say that you aren’t going to touch alcohol anymore?” Raymond said, as he gently ruffled Myolie’s hair.
“Oh? Did I ever say that?” She began thinking before recalling that she did swear before to stay away from alcohol after the ‘bed incident’ with Raymond.
“That’s entirely your fault.” Myolie hissed at him, before asking, “So were you very worried?”
“Of course I was, and so was Bosco as well. I heard from Melissa just now that even though the doctor assured him that you were basically fine, he still insisted on staying on till you regain consciousness, when he’s supposedly to be the one with a major problem.” Raymond said.
“What major problem?” Myolie frowned.
“I think it’s something to do with his stomach,” Raymond shrugged, before continuing, “He said that he’ll go to the hospital for a check-up after making sure that you’re alright.”
“Why is he so silly?” Myolie mumbled to herself when she recalled Bosco’s pale expression.
At that moment, Melissa entered into the bedroom, “Raymond, will you like to stay for dinner?”
Myolie looked up, and before Raymond could answer, “We’re not staying for dinner.”
Raymond turned to look at her, before turning back to face Melissa, “She’s just joking. I’ll love to have dinner here.”
“Fine, then stay all you want, Raymond Lam.” She shot back unhappily before getting out of the bed, and pushed her way past Melissa.
Raymond smiled apologetically at Melissa, before going after Myolie, “Hey, wait for me!”
“Myolie!” Raymond shouted after her, “Wait…” He stopped talking immediately when he saw her being engaged in an argument with her father near the main door.
Melissa soon joined Raymond, and told him, “Go take Myolie away now, before they get worse.”
He nodded his head rapidly, and went forward to pull Myolie away from the argument, while Melissa managed to persuade Wu Dan to go into the house with her first.
“Let go!” She flung her hand away from his grip, but unexpectedly, Raymond screamed at her, “Stop being so childish, Myolie!”
Myolie glared at him through her teary eyes, but she was taken aback by his sudden outburst.
“Why are you standing on her side?” She demanded.
Raymond’s tone softened when he saw her tears, “I…I’m not.”
Myolie turned and walked away. Raymond quickly followed, but he did not disturb her, maintaining a distance away from her. Quietly, he watched her back view, and noticed that her hands were occasionally lifted up to her face, thus he knew that she was crying. The walk went on for a pretty long time, before they arrived at a pretty isolated beach. Myolie seemed to know her way around the beach, as she walked towards a specific huge, shady tree and squatted under it, burying her face under her arms.
Raymond gathered his courage to approach her, and bent down to her level, “Don’t cry please.”
She lifted her face up and looked at him with her red, swollen eyes, “Then don’t shout at me again in future. If even you aren’t on my side, I’ll be alone by myself.”
He gently used his hand to wipe the tears on her cheek, “I’ll always be on your side, silly girl.”
She nodded her head. She stopped crying after calming down her emotions. Raymond sat down beside her under the tree.
“You came here before?” He asked.
“My mum used to bring me here when I was young. Since then, I’ll somehow end up in this place whenever I’m unhappy.” She replied.
Raymond pondered for a while, “So…you quarrel with your father, not getting along with Melissa…is it because of your mother?”
“Yeah.” It was a weak response from Myolie, looking as if many thoughts were running through her mind.
“You feel that Melissa is responsible for your mother’s death?” Raymond was starting to link the entire picture together.
Myolie did not answer his question, but from her expression, he had guessed it right again.
“Let’s not dwell on the unhappy memories anymore. How about going somewhere more fun? I’ll accompany you.” He proposed in an upbeat tone.
It managed to catch her attention, as she stared at Raymond in curiosity. He took hold of her hand, and smiled, “Let’s go!”

“No way! No way!” He yelled, trying to get away, but she was pulling onto his shirt tightly.
“Ugh, Raymond Lam! You said you’ll accompany me!” She dragged him off towards the ticket counter.
“Not for this roller-coaster ride!” He yelled back, before continuing timidly, “Look at the number of times I’ll get turned upside-down. Gosh, I can’t take this kind of rides. How about sitting the Ferris wheel instead?”
“I don’t care!” Myolie managed to pull him in, despite his strong protests.
As both of them settled into the first row of seats, Raymond started to perspire profusely as his hands trembled in fear.
“Oh man, God please bless me.” He shut his eyes and mumbled.
As the ride started moving, Myolie raised her hands up in the air, “Woohoo! I love this!” And then, zoom! It went off in a rapid speed, as Raymond clutched onto the rails tightly, and screamed out loud, “But I hate it!”

“Hey Sharon, do you know which hospital Bosco’s in?” Myolie asked over her cell phone.
“He’s already discharged. Aren’t you supposed to be together with him?” Sharon questioned.
“Well, I wanted to go find him, but something cropped up earlier on. So that means he’s at home, am I right?” Myolie said.
“Yes,” Sharon replied, “Send my regards to him as well.”
“Why? Aren’t you going to visit him? He needs your company now.” Myolie said.
“You’re the reason he’s in this state now, Myolie Wu. Be more responsible.” With that, Sharon hung up the call.
“Geez, he likes you. What he needs most now is you, and not me.” Myolie mumbled under her breath as she hailed a taxi and headed towards Bosco's apartment.

“Oh? Why are you here at this time? It’s rather late already.” Bosco asked as he allowed Myolie to enter.
“Did you quarrel with your father again?” He continued.
“I’m here to see you.” She said, taking a seat on the sofa.
“About what?” Bosco went to the kitchen and got coffee for both of them.
“Hmm, well are you alright now?” Myolie pointed to his stomach.
Bosco smiled at her and patted gently on his abdomen area, “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“That’s good.” She secretly heaved a sigh of relief.
“Ah, you’re worried for me,” Bosco caught her change in expression, “That’s why you came, am I right? You must be worried sick.”
Myolie stuttered at being exposed by him, “Well, if…if not, I’ll be guilty. I mean…it’s because of me, so I…I need…”
Bosco chuckled at her reaction, “It’s alright. There’s no need to explain.”
“Oh, and there’s Sharon Chan too. Geez, I can’t believe that she said she didn’t want to pay you a visit.” Myolie commented.
“Ha, it’s fine with me. Well, I’m already satisfied that you came here.” Bosco answered.
“No, you shouldn’t be so complacent, Bosco. If you like Sharon, you must put in your best to go after her. Don’t be shy. I’ll be there to support and encourage you!” Myolie patted on Bosco’s back.
Bosco choked on his coffee when he heard her words. Coughing hard, he asked, “When did I say that I like Sharon?”
“Oh? Not Sharon? It can’t be.” Myolie frowned in confusion.
“It’s not Sharon.” Bosco said firmly.
“Then who else can it be? I’m pretty sure that it’s Sharon. You don’t have to be shy in front of me.” Myolie insisted on her own ‘conclusion’ as well.
“No, no, no, no, no!” Bosco took in a deep breath, before saying, “Why can’t it be you?”
“Haha! It won’t be me.” Myolie laughed at Bosco’s words.
“Yeah, it isn’t. I was just joking.” Bosco mumbled sadly, as he was upset that Myolie had never thought of this possibility at all.
It was complete silence after that. Bosco had wanted to send Myolie home, but she told him that she could catch a taxi back and instructed him to have more rest before leaving the apartment.
“Oh man, what did I say just now?” Bosco hit his forehead, “It’s lucky that she didn’t take me seriously.”
On her way home in the taxi, Myolie could not help but recall Bosco’s words – ‘Why can’t it be you?’ She shook her head to stop herself from thinking too much.
How could it possibly be her?

Myolie could not get to sleep that night. She began thinking back on her relationship with Bosco. He was always there whenever she needed him. He helped to boost her career as a model. He took care of her needs well, and there was an unspoken understanding between both of them. Most importantly, he would always stand by her side, even if he knew that her decision was wrong.
“No, I must know the truth.” She said to herself.
The following morning, Myolie asked Sharon out for breakfast. Sharon probably knew the identity of Bosco’s ‘secret girl’ since she repeatedly denied of any relationship with Bosco in the past.
“So how’s Bosco? Did you get to see him last night?” Sharon asked as she ate her hotdog.
“Yeah, he’s fine,” Myolie said, “But he told me something last night.”
“What?” Sharon asked again, her eyes locked on Myolie.
“He said he likes me.” Myolie said in a serious tone.
Sharon was stunned for a few seconds before yelping in joy, “Oh my God! Finally, that dumb fool decided to tell you his feelings for you. Oh gosh, I’ll never have expected that. It seems like I’ve underestimated him.”
“You mean he really does like me?” Myolie grabbed onto Sharon’s hand.
“Yeah…” Sharon replied, “Well, didn’t he say it last night?”
“But why is that so? I mean there’s nothing good about me.” Myolie mumbled in shock.
“Precisely, Miss Blur Queen. Since there’s nothing good about yourself like you mentioned, then why do you think he’s treating you so well like his princess?” Sharon returned to eating her breakfast.
Myolie stood up and left without a word. Sharon called out for her but she did not turn back at all. Myolie was utterly confused and taken aback that she was the one whom Bosco had liked so far. Why did she not sense it earlier? This only led her back to Sharon’s question earlier – Myolie had really thought that it was because they were best friends, so Bosco treated her well. But it seemed like it was not the case.
