Julian clears his throat and says into the microphone, “Good morning to all the media friends. I am glad to have you all here to witness this great event. I want to announce that my family would like to donate a big sum of money to this Blue River Hospital for renovation. In addition, we would like to add another building to this hospital. And we want to name it as ‘Paul Chun’s Hall’.”
A reporter asks, “Your family wasn’t engaged in charity that much in the part years. Why do you all a sudden wanted to donate money to the hospital?”
Julian eyes around nervously and says, “Um....I guess....charity is really something that everyone should participate in. We...just earned profit in a project, so we thought of donating part of it.”
“And how come you want to name the new building ‘Paul Chun’s Hall’? Who is that man?” Another reporter asks.
Julian blinks his eyes as he makes up a story, “Mr. Paul was a.....good friend of my father. Twenty years ago, a horrible fire took his life away. As my father...really misses this friend, he wants to name the building using Uncle Paul’s name, for remembering him.”
The reporters finish their questions and begin to take pictures of Julian. Eddie rushes to the front to protect Julian..........

Charmaine is typing a report for Nurse Lydia at the reception. She looks up from the computer as she sees a bunch of nurses gather around the front window.
They mumble among themselves, “Yup, that handsome guy, he is still single right now. I hope that he will get his eyes on me.”
Nurse Lydia clears her throat loudly. The nurses disperse immediately as they see the chubby nurse nearby.
Lydia sighs and says to Charmaine, “Those nurses are always like that.”
Charmiane replies with a small smile. She says, “They are just anxious to seek a boyfriend. Don’t blame them.”
Lydia leans on the counter and says skeptically, “I guess you are not too worried about yourself finding a boyfriend. In the past three consecutive days, someone sent you a small gift on every single day. Are you dating someone?”
Charmaine stops typing on the computer. She says, “No Nurse Lydia. No.” Those gifts are actually sent by Stephen. Frankly speaking, Charmaine really likes those presents. Those are not flowers or chocolates, but they are different types of mini weapons. They are certainly valuable addition to Bird of the Night’s weapons collection.
“Nurse Lydia!” Someone calls her loudly.
“Coming.” Lydia walks away after she fixes her nurse hat.
Charmaine finishes typing the report. She presses the print button and goes to the workroom to take the printout sheets. As she heads back to the reception area, someone suddenly calls her name, “Charmaine.”
She turns around and sees Julian standing in front of her. She asks, “How come you are here?”
Julian approaches Charmaine and says, “I am here for the thing that we talked about yesterday on the phone. The donation to the hospital, remember?”
She nods and says, “You are really efficient. But does Daddy agree with all this?”
Julian shakes his head and lowers his voice, “No. He was really angry when he heard about our proposal, but I am carrying out the plan even if he disagrees. We have to do something to repay the Chuns.” As he finishes his sentence, he sees several workers carrying painting brushes and cans walking pass him. He orders, “Try to create the least disturbance to the hospital.”
“Yes Mr. Lam.” The workers answer.
Charmaine glances at the emotionless Eddie and asks Julian, “Is he your new body guard?”
“Yes. He is Eddie Kwan, with black belt in Tai Kwon Do. My mother found him.” Julian says. He jokes quietly, “Certainly not the best body guard. If I prefer, I would hire Bird of the Night to protect me.”
Charmaine grins and says, “I don’t think Bird of the Night will go protect people that easily. Perhaps only to some special people....Let’s not waste time. We should go to help.”
“Help?” Julian asks.
“Help painting the hospital. Come on.” Charmaine promenades away as she asks the workers for some brushes.............

“You can stay here.” Julian tells Eddie. He walks out to the garden alone and seats next to Charmaine on the bench.
Charmaine asks, “Why are you still here? Don’t you have to return to the company?”
“I guess I need an occasional day off.” He leans back and rests his head on the bench. He sees grey clouds moving in the sky. It seems like it is going to rain soon.
Charmaine says, “But it is great that you helped out with the painting; however, you got your hands tainted with paint. Good job.”
“But what about you? You got your shirt with colorful paint as well-” The rain starts to pour before Julian can finish. Instantaneously, he takes out an umbrella from his suitcase. He opens the umbrella and covers himself and Charmaine.
Charmaine looks up at the umbrella. The umbrella is dark blue in color, and the tip of it is white. It is the same one, the one that has once brought them together.
She asks, “You are still keeping it (the umbrella)?”
Julian looks at where she is staring at, and answers, “Yes. I treasure this umbrella. When I see it, I feel that I am actually seeing you. It reminds me of those days.” He bites his lips and says, “My mother is asking me to go to a matchmaking meeting tomorrow. I don’t want to go.”
Charmaine frowns and says, “You are the oldest son in the family. You have to carry on the family name. Daddy will make you to get marry soon.” She sighs.
The rain is falling continuously from the sky. They remain seated on the bench under the umbrella. They don’t feel like going into the hospital for shelter.
As the rain increases its intensity, Julian puts his hand on Charmaine’s shoulder and draws her closer to him.
She leans her head upon Julian’s shoulder as they share this precious moment together under the rain. They wish that the rain will continue to fall.
Inside the hospital, a pair of fiery eyes is staring out into the garden. He clenches his fists and drops a gift box onto the ground.
He will get his girl back by any means.
Even through killing..........

A tear rolls down Michelle’s eyes as she thumps her legs. Her legs are not showing any improvement at all after the therapy. All she feels is numbness from the legs.
She throws a vase on the floor. It breaks into pieces. She picks up another one and aims it at the door. The vase hits Raymond as he walks in.
“Ah.” Raymond utters.
Michelle feels sorry that she hits Raymond. She says tearfully, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to hit you.”
Raymond grins and walks over to Michelle. He asks, “What happened that irritate our Ms. Ye?”
Michelle looks down and says, “Don’t waste your time to heal me. I am useless in this world. I can’t walk anymore no matter how hard you are going to help me. There is no miracle. Ever since Daddy and Mommy died, I know that there is no hope in this world. My brother should have never rescued me from the fire. Never.” She hits her legs again.
“Stop. You are hurting yourself.” Raymond calms Michelle down by holding her hands.
Raymond doesn’t know if he is doing the right thing. Should a doctor ever fall for his own patient?
Nevertheless, Raymond finds that he likes Michelle more every time he sees her. She is unlike those nurses that surround him each day. She has some kind of special attraction that is capturing his heart. He can’t pull himself out.
He looks into her reddish eyes and says, “Michelle, I know that the healing road is not easy to walk across. There are medicine, pain, and hardships to go through. But you are not all by yourself. From this day on, I will walk the road with you.”
“Really?” Michelle asks.
“Yes.”
