Chapter 1

-Flashback-

"Don't touch me, Seunghyun," Yoobin said, looking up at him. She was trying to make her way up the stairs of the hotel they were at, but he had other plans.

"Why are you acting like this?" he asked. Yoobin could smell the alcohol on his breath. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her back to him. Struggling to break free from his grasp, it only made him hold her tighter.

"You're so drunk," she replied, tears welling up in her eyes. "I can't do this all the time. I can't put up with you always being drunk."

She shoved Seunghyun away and started up the staircase again. When she entered the room, the girls knew that something was wrong. She sat down on the bed and broke down. Her friends came and sat beside her.

"What did he say to you this time?" Ye Eun asked, looking at her friend.

"He's drunk. He said the usual stuff. Called me everything and told me I was worthless. I can't do this anymore," Yoobin replied, crying again.

"You need to leave him," Sohee said, making all of her friends turn and look at her.

"I'm serious, Yoobin. How much longer can you put up with this? I know you love him, but he treats you like dirt!" she said, almost yelling. Yoobin just hung her head and put her face in her hands. 'How can I leave him?' she thought to herself.

The boys were coming back from tour today. It was Seunghyun's chance to prove that he had really changed. Yoobin was anticipating this time especially; she wanted to know if he had really changed, or if like many other times before, he was lying. She knew not to get her hopes up just yet. Just then, Sunye broke her thoughts.

"Girls, let's go," she said, motioning for them while standing in front of the door. The girls checked themselves one last time and then made their way out the door. The ride was long and boring, and Yoobin couldn't wait to see Seunghyun. Sure, he was a jerk. She knew that. But she still loved him...even if she shouldn't. When they got to the airport, they all decided they'd wait in the car until the plane actually landed.

When the boys finally got off the plane, all of the other girls were running up to them. But Yoobin stayed in front of the car, arms crossed over her chest. She didn't want Seunghyun to think that everything she had said about him needing to change was a lie. It wasn't. She wanted to take their relationship seriously...for ONCE. When he got off the plane, he was grinning ear to ear, but the grin soon faded when he saw Yoobin standing in front of the car, arms crossed. He walked up to her and just stood there.

"Aren't you gonna say hi? I've been gone for 4 months," he said, coldly.

"Hi," was all she said, pulling him to give her a hug. She didn't want smalltalk. She wanted him to be real with her. Before she had the chance to wait for a better time, the words came bubbling out of her mouth.

"Did you do something about your drinking problem while you were gone?" she said, looking up at him. As soon as she said it, she regretted it. He looked angry. Really angry. And Yoobin didn't feel like dealing with it his first day back.

"Is that the only thing you can say to me after I've been gone so long?" Seunghyun replied, scrunching up his face at her.

"I just want to know, Seunghyun," she said, loweing her tone. Everytime she talked to him, he made her feel so unimportant...so little. And she couldn't help but feel like she had to revise everything to fit his standards, even if it meant loweing her voice to his.

"No, I didn't. And I told you I wasn't going to, so I don't know why you expected anything from me," he said. Noticing that he was trying to get into the car, Yoobin moved out of his way. She wasn't surprised when she felt tears flowing down her face. She didn't understand why she kept doing this to herself. But she loved him. But he acted like he hated her. Everytime she tried to be there for him, he would put up a wall around himself. She had been with him for so long. How many other women would put up with this? Not many, she thought. She had been his shoulder to cry on for 2 years. She had been there for him through everything. And this is how he would repay her.

Yoobin wiped away her tears and got into the car. She had always dealt with him the same. She wouldn't say anything to him, and eventually, he would feel bad for acting that way with her. He would apologize, tell her that she was too good for him, but then he'd just do it all over again. But this time, Yoobin didn't plan on saying anything to him all night. She was going to pack her bags while he was asleep, tell her girls goodbye, and go somewhere. Anywhere. She would stay at a hotel for a while, or maybe she would call a family member. Anything but this.

At 1:00 that night, when all of the boys had finally gotten to bed, she quietly went into her room as to not wake Seunghyun. She got an old suitcase and started packing it with random clothes. She got everything she needed. She tiptoed out of their room and went downstairs. She had already told the girls about her plan, so they all hugged her and told her goodbye. But they knew they'd see her again, so it didn't matter. But other than awards or certain shows, she wouldn't be seeing Seunghyun for a very long time. And in case one of the girls would break down or forget not to tell anyone, she didn't tell them where she was going. Partly because of that, but also because she didn't even know herself.

She got into her car and just drove. Finally reaching a hotel, she grabbed her things and went into the building. 'Well, here goes nothing,' she thought to herself, as she went up to the desk and asked for a room. When she got to her room, she threw her bags in the floor and went to sleep. She would try to better sort things out tomorrow, but for now, she was just tired. Tired of dealing with things. Tired of Seunghyun.
