Ryosuke smile as Rei go to the room to keep away their stuff.
“So, what did Yuto ask you to explain?” he asks once again.
“Oh! Just now we were pla-” Hikaru’s sentences has been cut by Yuto who a few seconds ago put a terrified look on his face.
He quickly moves in front of Hikaru and smile towards his best friend.
“Anou Yama-chan~! Can I borrow them for awhile?” ask the taller boy while pointing to almost everyone.
Ryosuke nod as he let him and Rei who just got down go to the kitchen.
All of them circle around Yuto. When Ryosuke and Rei successfully disappear to the kitchen, he starts to speak again.
“Minna, don’t ever tell Yama-chan that we’re playing this kind of game that includes him!”
Kota rolls his eyes, “That’s all you want to tell?”
Suddenly Daiki gasp as if he remember something scary, “Yuto is right. Don’t tell him that we’re betting on him.”
“Why?” ask Yuri who busy munching apple that Yuki bought for him before.
“Ah! I remember!” exclaim Ryutaro.
“Remember what?” said Kota’s lover.
He glance around to make sure Ryosuke is still in the kitchen.
“Last time, we’re playing this kind of game with prizes such as, the winner will get free….let say chocolates from the loser for a month and we’re betting on Ryosuke’s behavior.”
Hikaru make a small laugh. “It’s the same game like we’re playing right…I mean just now~!”
“Exactly!” add Daiki, “That’s why we can’t tell him. Like Ryutaro said, we’re betting about him and that time, Yuto was the one start the game and I ended up being the winner. Guess what happen when Ryosuke found out that we’re betting about him.”
They all look among each other since they can’t really imagine what Ryosuke would do.
“What?” ask Yuya bravely as he gulps.
“He went to Yuto and yell at him saying about privacy and not good in betting. For him, betting on someone without burdening others (means no rewards) is fine but, this kind of game, the game we’re playing just now, which the lose group have to carry the winner bags, is burdening someone. He will get mad and trust me, you don’t want to see his mad face especially his eyes!” story Ryutaro.
All of them go silence for awhile.
Mimi realize something about the game, “What the purpose of the prize anyway?”
“We can do it; carry their bags but try not to act like we HAVE to carry those bags in front of him.” Explain the overgrown boy.
All of them nod.
“He will never like it if he knew we’re betting on him.” Add Daiki.
Hikaru grin, “But, I never saw him mad before.”
Everyone turn to him. “Hikaru, no. Not this time!” tell Kei while glaring him.
“But really, how many of you had saw he mad before?” ask the comedian guy once again.
Most of them shrug while Ryutaro, Yuto and Daiki show them the ‘X’ sign using their hand, desperately telling them not to do it.
“Okay! I’ll tell him the truth and we’ll see what happen!” cheer Hikaru and receive nods from everyone but Daiki, Ryutaro, Yuto, Ryosuke and Rei.
“Finish discussing?” ask the boy that they’ve been talking about, Ryosuke. He comes with Rei.
“Yup!” tell Keito while all of them settle on the big, long couch. As soon as Rei settle next to Ryosuke, the three of them; Daiki, Yuto and Ryutaro immediately move closer to Rei for…cautious.
Yuri gesture Hikaru to start their plan.
Hikaru nod and look at Ryosuke. “Ne, Yama-chan. What would you do if someone um…bet about you? And the winner will get something?”
Ryosuke raise his head to look at the one whom asking him.
“You mean like gambling? Just that, they’re gambling about me?”
Hikaru nod. Daiki, Yuto and Ryutaro keep decreasing their distance between them and Rei.
Ryosuke look at each one of their eyes, “Something going on before I’m here, right?”
Most of them smile sheepishly while Ryosuke glance to Yuto, who face already pale.
“I assume that Yuto start the game, am I right?”
The rest of them amaze on how he can guess correctly. They nod.
“Since all of us went out today, you guys probably betting on something or should I say SOMEONE, right?” Ryosuke speak again, just that his voice becomes cold.
Now, the girls had terrified look on their faces. But they keep nodding.
“Maybe you’re betting on how many things we bought or which couple is the last to arrive, ne? Yuto-kun?”
Ryosuke glance at Yuto and give him smile that Yuto has been seen on Tantei Gakuen Q, the devil’s smile.
“Y-Yama-chan…” stutter Yuto. He was about to apologize when his best friend speak again. Rei knew what would happen next so she keeps quiet while thinking the fastest thing to do to cool down Ryosuke.
“So! What will the winner get if they win the game?”
Hikaru gain all his courage to tell him.
“I see.” They can see that Ryosuke’s mood quickly turn to Amakusa Ryuu’s mood.
“You ask me what would I do, right?” he glance ‘softly’ at Hikaru and turn ‘sweetly’ to Yuto while standing up as Rei watch him.
“I will just LEAVE YOU LIKE THAT!”
With that, he leaves the dining room and climb upstairs. As soon as he disappears, Hikaru blink.
“Well, he’s not mad I guess.”
Yuto shook his head quickly, “No! That’s only the beginning! Then he won’t talk to you, help you and so on!”
“Wait! Wait! I need you to tell us the whole story about that day!” exclaim Yuri.
Rei just sit there and hear them talking.
Daiki tell him everything including how Ryosuke made they felt like they never exist in the world while Yuto tell how Ryosuke look like when he get mad. As for Ryutaro, he tells them the best way to behave in front of him during the ‘mad period’.
All of them inhale and exhale.
“Yuri, I think you did the wrong thing by motioning Hikaru to do it.” Voice Yuki.
Yuri widens his eyes. “It’s not my fault ONLY! It’s our fault for letting Hikaru to console and persuade us to join him!” said the smallest member while pointing sharp to Hikaru.
“No! Not his fault! It’s Yuto’s fault since he suggest the game!” tell Mimi.
Mariko and Yuto widen their eyes. “What?!! No! I didn’t FORCE you guys to play!”
“True!” support Mariko.
“Guys, guys! It’s better if we start thinking on how to apologize and make him…cool down.” Tell the shortest member of BEST.
“Daiki’s right. Any suggestion?” said Kota.
Silence.
“We buy a lot of strawberries?” suggest Yuri.
“Yuri, Ryosuke is not the type that will cool down by strawberries.” Tell Aida.
Yuri pout, “But he loves strawberry so much!”
“We already did and it’s such a waste. He gave it to his neighboor last time.” Tell Ryutaro.
Something clicks on Rubi’s mind. She glance around for her target and…bull’s-eye!
“Rei! Help us!”
Rei startled when 18 of them look at him at the same time.
“Wha?”
“You have to help us! Please!” beg Mariko, Meira and other girls.
Rei shrug. “He’s unpredictable when it comes to his temper.”
“Please, try anything!” once again, they beg to Rei.
The girl sighs. She smiles.
“Hai. I’ll go and talk to him.”
