"Ick.."
He quickly pulled away from her when she bit his tongue that rolled inside her mouth. In
vengeance, he buried his head in her right shoulder once again and harshly bit her skin that
was a little above her collarbone.
"Ahhh!"
Her weak holler echoed within their hearing range. He dug her teeth into her skin so hard
that her flesh was beginning to smoulder with an invisible flame, and along with that came
another red liquid.
WooHyuk got off of her and rolled over to her side. She rolled slightly to the opposite
direction and crouched her body into a ball. She crossed her arms to cover her breasts and
clot the blood with her left palm, which resulted in even greater pain.
WooHyuk and HaNeul were both under the blanket, silent for a moment that seemed to
have lasted for eternity. He was using his elbow as a pillow and was staring at her bare
neck with melancholy eyes. He was looking at the girl he claimed to have loved.... only to
destroy her. He felt a tide of guilt rushing in but he knew he wasn't fit to feel that kind of
emotion.
"Hyuk! Where are you? HeeJun and I are going out for some snack!"
WooHyuk jumped up when he heard JaeWon searching for him in the hallway. He
speedily gathered his clothes and got dressed.
Before he reached for the doorknob, he turned around and stared at the trampled figure on
the ground one more time. She didn't make a slightest movement; she looked almost as if
she was just a corpse lying there.
He then went out of her room and joined his company.
This was a bloody battle, which she had obviously lost....
----------------------------------
And there she was after WooHyuk left.... still on the ground, under the blanket. Next to
her was her clothes shredded into pieces that she was unable to put back on.... just like
what she had lost to him. Her body was still shivering even though she covered herself up
completely. She could feel the blood flowing down her legs still, even though the incident
was only for a few minutes....
It was an incident that would leave her a scar for her lifetime....
She glanced at her swollen wrists. When she lifted her arms up to view them better in the
light, the blood that was flowing down from her right shoulder came to her peripheral,
along with her bloody left palm. The scent of her own blood paralyzed her senses. It hurt
like hell... he had nearly bit off her skin.
'How.... could this be.... JaeWon was home... and his mom.... and HeeJun... the maids....
and yet....'
Slowly, yet painfully, she wrapped herself around once with the blanket and dragged her
limp body along the floor, to where the phone was.
---------------------------
KangTa's pager kept on ringing but he couldn't do anything about it. His cell phone was
taken away by his guards and his phone in the room was already disconnected. When he
saw the same number that flashed on the pager screen over and over, he couldn't help but
to sigh.
It was HaNeul who kept on paging him. All night long.....
It sounded as if she was saying, 'Where are you when I need you the most...?'

[Next morning]
KNOCK KNOCK
One of the maids knocked on HaNeul's room door to see if she was awake and well
enough to go to school.
But there was no answer.
Curious, the maid pushed the door open and went in.
"Miss?"
She looked around the room. HaNeul wasn't in her bed or in the bathroom. Her bed was
neatly made and everything seemed pretty much the same. Even her violin was still on her
desk as if nothing happened.
Except that the owner of the room wasn't there.....
And there was a bloodstain on the carpet by her bed that the maid overlooked.
After that night, HaNeul was nowhere to be seen.
--------------------------
Soon the news spread out that she disappeared. JaeWon and his mother sent people out
to look for her, for they were afraid that when Mr. Lee came back, they would get blamed
for her disappearance.
WooHyuk was terrified when he heard the news and started searching for her as well, but
the result was not productive at all.
KangTa, who knew what WooHyuk did to her, looked for the places he thought she might
have gone, since he knew her the most, but even he couldn't find her.
She didn't take any of her belongings except for a few clothes and some personal stuff....
No one really noticed that the 1/2 size violin she used when she was little was gone too.
That was the one KangTa gave her 9 years ago when they first met.
When Mr. Lee came back from his trip and found out that his daughter had disappeared,
he collapsed in a heart attack. Being who he was, this was printed in the newspaper all
over the nation. Some people hoped that she would return in case she saw the news, but
that hope had failed. Private detectives were hired and all the efforts were made, but it
seemed as if she either died or went out of the country.
At LiRa, things went as normal as they could be, except that now HaNeul was not
available for the festival, WooHyuk dropped as well. KangTa was bumped up in place of
the two. He performed Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor at the festival in front
of the music academy admissions. It was a huge success and he was admitted instantly.
KangTa's and WooHyuk's friendship could never be retrieved, for KangTa knew too well
what he did to her. Tony remained somewhat close to WooHyuk but they all knew that
things would never be the same. KangTa's engagement with the Yang's was still forced
unwillingly, and there was no way he could squirm out of that.
WooHyuk quit playing violin and started helping his dad with the business. He could
never erase her last expression before she disappeared.....
'How could you do this to someone you love?'
