[6 years later]
An's residence was filled with enthusiasm and contentment as the maids and the servants
were being busy decorating the house for a reception. Grandfather and Grandmother An
were extremely satisfied with how their plan had worked; KangTa's and Tony's parents
were happy as well.
The only outsider of this exuberance was Tony. He was unhappy that KangTa would now
be officially chained in the cruel world of having to marry someone he did not truly love.
The reception was an official engagement call between KangTa and YangHyunJi. This
was to be done as soon as KangTa came back from Berlin, where he had been playing
violin in the past 3 years with the world's renowned orchestra, Berlin Philharmonics. He
was acknowledged as a musical prodigy during his freshman year at the academy and was
offered a concertmaster spot for Berlin Phil.
Now he had returned to Korea for a brief amount of time. The press was there to record
this shining event, a union of the two influential households in Korea; the An Corps and
the Yang's Oil Company.
All of the BIG 5 members from their childhood would be present at the event.
KangTa was now a handsome young man of 24 years old, a successful musician.
HeeJun, who was an only child of his family, was to inherit his dad's business upon his
retirement that was coming rather soon.
Tony was somewhat involved in his family's affairs, but he preferred to stay out of
business until his time comes, which wouldn't be for a long time. Currently, he was just
lagging around trying to enjoy life. Even though it had been 8 years since JaeHee died, he
visited her grave every month.
WooHyuk was pretty much the same as HeeJun.
JaeWon was now the president of the Lee Corps., for his dad was still in bed. He never
recovered from the shock he received after finding out what HaNeul did.
The lives of these five were seemingly normal. Their past that revolved around one girl
with blue eyes seemed to have faded in their memories. The search was not continued
after the first couple years.
LeeHaNeul was a forgotten name.

"What?!" HeeJun exclaimed when he heard his father.
"You want to adopt a kid? Why?"
"Because me and your mom would be bored after we both retire. You're no fun to raise
since you're all grown up now," Mr. Moon chuckled. HeeJun frowned.
"But people are going to gossip about it...."
"Let's just do our society a favor, all right son? I've already contacted St. Agnes Adoption
Agency... we can all go there and decide which kid we want... I prefer a little girl this
time."

KangTa and HyunJi were in a limousine on their way home after their dinner. They were
sitting next to each other. KangTa was looking out the window while HyunJi was trying
to grab his attention, which she failed to do most of the time.
"KangTa!!"
She finally yelled at him impatiently. He snapped out of his thoughts.
"What?!" He yelled back in annoyance. HyunJi frowned in discontent.
"How come you're never paying attention when you're with me? That is not the way to
treat a lady."
"Oh, sorry..." he said with no sincerity.
HyunJi was really not a bad girl. She wasn't one of those high class snobby girls either.
Though not as remarkable as HaNeul was to KangTa, she was fairly attractive and
intelligent, with a kind heart. The sad thing was, while she was deeply in love with him, he
did not give a fudge about her feelings towards him. He always seemed preoccupied with
some other thoughts.
"Who am I... to you?" HyunJi asked bluntly. KangTa slowly turned to face her.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean... we've known each other for 6 years now..... that's a long time. Yet you still
treat me the way you treated me the very first time we met.... cold. Reserved. I can't
remember a time you smiled at me or spoke kind words to me....."
"You know what kind of situation we both are in. We are just being used by our parents
to expand our businesses," said KangTa coldly. He then turned away from her and
looked out the car window again.
Her eyes soon filled with tears at his words. She knew she could never replace that one
person who lived in his heart, whom he pretended to have forgotten a long time ago.
"I... I love you...."
HyunJi said with much difficulty.
KangTa slowly turned to face her once again, only this time with a surprised and puzzled
look on his face.
"I... I know I can't replace that one person in your heart.... but I'm willing to try, if you let
me..."
That one person... why was she reminding him of her again? His heart ached sharply with
agony. The more he tried to forget, the more he was reminded of her. He wasn't even
sure if she was still alive..... he hated her so much for just walking out of his life like she
did.....
"I like you, HyunJi," KangTa said with hidden emotions, "but I don't love you. Don't
love me."
"But we are going to get married soon..." she stuttered, her mind grasping to a last strand
of hope. But still, KangTa's heartless words left her shunned.
"I'm your fiance, but I'm not your lover."

HeeJun looked around the orphanage while his parents were talking to the principal, or the
coordinator who was organizing the adoption. He really didn't like anything that had to
do with a poverty, so he remained frowning.
His attention was caught when he saw a soccerball that rolled in front of him. It hit his
foot so he looked down and picked it up. He looked around to see where it had come
from and who it belonged to.
Soon, a little boy with a white face, around age 5-6, approached him. He showed his open
palm to HeeJun. HeeJun handed the boy his soccerball.
"Thank you, ahjummah (ma'am)."
The little boy bowed politely and expressed his gratitude. But HeeJun was extremely
offended.
"I'm not an ahjummah, mind you," he snapped. He had always heard from the others
about his effeminate image, but hearing it from a little boy? That offended him greatly.
"Oh, thank you, unni?" the little boy said innocently as he looked up and gazed into
HeeJun's facial features.
"You have no manners," said HeeJun, "didn't anyone teach you?"
But then HeeJun realized that he was talking to a boy from the orphanage here. However,
when he examined the little boy for a short time, he looked well taken care of, with his
clean clothings and neatly cut hair.
The little boy just stood there, clueless as to why HeeJun was upset. His eyes twinkled
innocently as he put on a cute smile on his cherubic face. He was an angelic boy.
HeeJun sighed.
"Call me hyung-ah, okay?" He said lightly as he rubbed the boy's head. He then put his
hands in his coat pocket and walked away. He felt good for some reason after looking at
this little boy he had met for the first time in his life.
"Hyung-ah!"
HeeJun stopped in surprise when the boy called him from behind. He turned around.
"You wanna play soccer with EunWoo, hyung-ah?"
"EunWoo?" HeeJun repeated as he reapproached the boy, "is that your name?"
The boy nodded eagerly.
"That's a pretty name. Who..."
Before HeeJun could finish his sentence, they both heard a woman's cry from a distance
away.
"EunWoo! Where are you! Come back here NOW!!"
"Uh-oh..." EunWoo's face reddened in an embarrassment, "my mommy's looking for me
now... I have to go back."
His small lips became pouty. HeeJun couldn't help but to chuckle at his cuteness. Soon
he perked up again and looked up at HeeJun with his eyes wide open. He showed a
toothy grin and squinted.
"Hyung-ah, are you gonna come here often? When you come next time, promise me you'll
play soccer with me, huh huh?"
EunWoo held up his pinky.
"Come back NOW or no supper for you!" the woman hollered once again.
HeeJun shook EunWoo's little pinky. EunWoo smiled happily and hopped away like a
bunny. At one point, he stopped and waved his hand at HeeJun and started hopping away
again.
'So he is not an orphan...?'
HeeJun felt lighthearted as he made his way back to the main hall of the orphanage where
his parents were at. He wondered if the conversation was still going on.
Suddenly, he stopped. A realization had struck him.
'Eun....Woo...?'
He contemplated for a second.
'Looks a lot like... WooHyuk when we were little... hehehe... silly me. I'm so out of it
these days....'
He scratched the back of his head and laughed softly to himself, until he froze on the spot
again.
He remembered when EunWoo was looking at him with wide open eyes, before he
squinted. The eyes that flashed from up close....
HeeJun could've sworn that those eyes.... were blue.
