Grandpa Wu: LISTEN HERE YOUNG LADY! I’M YOUR GRANDPA AND YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO ME! UNDERSTOOD! SO DON’T RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME! ( tears running down her cheeks)
Gui Gui: The day of my high school graduation is going to be the happiest day of my life. I planned on spending that day with my friends and here you tell me that I’m going to be married off to some guy that I’ve never met or talk to? How could you? I thought you love me grandpa?
Grandpa Wu: Ying Jie. [ Gui Gui ] Grandpa love you very much. That’s why I want you to marry the right guy, someone who can take care of you when your brother or I’m not around understand? (grabbing his granddaughter hands)
Gui Gui: NO! I DON’T UNDERSTAND! ALL I KNOW IS THIS IS MY LIFE AND I’LL BE THE ONE WHO’LL MAKE THE DECISIONS! NOT YOU OR CHUNNIE! [ her elder brother ] ( pulling her hands away from her grandpa then walked out of his office) (her brother, Wu Chun, who overheard all the commotion headed towards the office when he saw his sister running to her room crying.)
Wu Chun: Grandpa. What’s the matter with Gui Gui?
Grandpa Wu: Nothing. I just told her that after she graduates from high school, she has to get married. That’s all and here she started yelling at my face.
Wu Chun: GRANDPA! Why did you tell her? Why didn’t you wait and let her meet the guy first then tell her later? ( grandpa didn’t say anything and walked to his room) ( Wu Chun went over to his sister’s room to check on her) [ knock, knock ] Gui Gui, are you alright? Open the door. Please. It’s Chunnie. ( no one answered the door, but he can hear her crying inside her room) If you want to talk, I‘ll be in my room.
( the next morning Wu Chun walked to his sister’s room to see if she’s okay because of the fight last night, he knocked on the door still no one answered. He saw the maid who takes care of Gui Gui, walking towards her room holding a tray with a glass of milk. )
Maid: Young master. May I help you?
Wu Chun: Can you go check on Gui? Tell her I want to talk to her. (the maid nodded and walked into Gui Gui’s room, suddenly she screamed) ( Wu Chun heard a shriek and rush into Gui Gui’s room)
Wu Chun: WHAT HAPPEN!?
Maid: Young master, Young Miss has ran away! She left you a letter! ( Wu Chun opened the letter to read it)

I cannot take grandpa anymore, he’s such a control freak. So I have to go far away from this place, it’s driving me crazy. I’m not go to let him control my life like you are. Take care of yourself and take control of your own life, stop making grandpa make your decisions. Don’t worry I been saving up a lot of money, I think I can manage, then find myself a job. Oh, find yourself a girlfriend too! Don’t let grandpa find you one, what if she not the type of girl that you or grandpa think she is? Please don’t worry. Bye.
