Chapter 1

Movers & Shakers

Asia stood in the middle of the kitchen, her Apple Macbook Pro sitting on the black tiled countertop of the island. She tapped her fingers impatiently, and soon became distracted by the tiles that lay in various shapes upon the island. She started to trace the intricate designs with her white manicured finger-tips. The front door opening startled her from her distraction and caused her to jump slightly. She turned her attention to her Macbook and re-read the letter that was sent to her this time.

Dear Ask Me ;

I think my husband is cheating on me. I know you're probably thinking, if I think this, its probably true...but I think he's cheating with...how do I say this...with a man. Its really awkward for me to bring up in conversation with him, so I've kept it to myself. How do I find out without confronting him ?

Signed,

A Worried Wife

Asia read the letter one more time for clarification, before breaking into laughter.

" What's funny ? " Youngbae's smooth voice said so close to her she was slightly startled. She'd forgotten he had come in a few minutes earlier. He slid his hands around her waist and rested his head on her shoulder, looking down at her laptop. She rested her hands over his.

" This dumb letter, that's all. " she said, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath in. Though he worked in Construction, she could never tell. He always kept his fresh scent of Irish Spring bath gel and Unforgivable cologne. She broke from her daze when she heard his laughter.

" Is she serious ? Ask her what kind of proof she has for that one. " he said.

" I can't ask her, that's the point of the stupid job. I'm supposed to know all the answers. " she scoffed, pulling up a response email.

Dear Worried Wife ;

I'm sorry to hear that you believe your husband to be cheating. Its quite sad when one party in a relationship has distrust over the other party. I'd have to say though, a women's intuition is usually never wrong. If it were me, I'd go with the flow and see if anything else makes me question things over the next month or two. If I'm still feeling uncomfortable, I'd ask him. See where things go from there.

Signed,

Ask Me

Asia pressed send, but as she looked through the subjects of the next few hundred emails that hoarded her inbox on the screen, her telephone began ringing. She left Youngbae's embrace to answer the phone, attached to the wall next to the refridgerator. She placed it on her shoulder and held it in place with the side of her face as she spoke, opening the refridgerator.

" Hello ? " she asked.

" Yes, I'm looking for an Asia Sennott ? " someone on the other line said.

" This is she, who may I ask is calling ? " she moved aside a carton of milk and reached in the back of the fridge.

" This is the Movers and Shakers Society Of America. Unfortunately our records show you can't move it or shake it, so we're going to have to release you. "

" Seungri you're dumb for that one. " she rolled her eyes and pulled out a small cup of vanilla pudding. She closed the door with her hip and stretched the phone cord to the other side of the room to get a spoon from the utensils drawer. She closed that with her hip too and leaned against it as she returned the phone to her hand.

" If I don't recall, I burned you at the club last week. Are you initiating another challenge ? " she asked.

" Chill . " he laughed.

" That's what I thought. " she took a spoonful of pudding and ate half of from the spoon.

" But foreal though, what's up ? " he asked.

" Nothing just...tending to some work and what not " she hesitated. She wasn't really proud of her job as the advice columnist, so she hadn't told anyone but Youngbae, and although she loved Seungri, she wasn't ready to tell him yet either. She figured the job would be over when the Editor-In-Chief found somebody else to take over the job.

" Wow, they've got you working outside of the office now ? " he remembered her job didn't really consist of much on a daily basis.

" Well, I had nothing better to do. " Damn. Why'd he have to remember every last detail she told him about things ? He never forgot anything she told him.

" I guess Youngbae is loosing his touch huh ? " he teased. She giggled, but felt chills at the mention of his name. She glanced behind her and noticed that he was no longer in the kitchen. She was glad, it was better if he didn't know she was talking to Seungri right now.

" Not really...actually before he left for work this morning... " she started, she knew that was one field Seungri was never willing to go into detail about with her, no matter how close they were.

" Aish ! Asia don't ! " Seungri stopped her.

" What're you up to ? " she asked.

" You know. Chillin with my ladies. " he exaggerated his urban accent.

" Oh, tell Fifi and Chiquita I said woof woof ! " she sassed.

" Ha-ha, what a comedian. " he replied in sarcasm.

" I know, I should do stand-up or something right ? But Seungri I'd better get off...you know how Youngbae is. " she said, placing the spoon inside of the pudding cup and pushing it forward.

" Araso mija " he said.

" What kind of language combination is that ? Korean and Spanish ? "

" If I want to mix languages, I can ! Don't make me break out in German on your ass... " he warned her playfully.

" Fine, fine...you gonna get me in trouble tomorrow ? " she asked. Seungri loved to send her a completely pointless text message at 3:56PM, which for some reason is when the office is completely quiet. Her phone would ring loudly and she'd have to snatch to put it away quickly. Though she could easily keep it on vibrate, it gave some kind of spark to the usually boring atmosphere she was contained in for most of her day.

" I never fail " she could hear him smiling mischeviously on the other line.

" Haha alright, love you boo " she said.

" Love you too "

Asia walked across the room and placed the phone back on the reciever. She shut the lights off in the kitchen and walked upstairs. She reached the top of the stairs and shut off the hallway lights as well, making her way down to the bedroom. She opened the door and heard water running from the bathroom. He's in the shower she thought to herself. She changed her clothes and crawled into the bed. She was psychologically exhausted, Asia had been answering letters all day long, both at work and off the job as well. The water shut off and a few minutes later the door opened and steam poured out. Asia reached over to Youngbae's pillow and she put it over her face, the light from the bathroom was too bright when her eyes had just gotten adjusted to the darkness. She felt the bed move as he sat down on her side.

" I'm gonna need my pillow back lil miss. " he said. She ignored him, his pillow was too comfortable over her face. He tugged on it gently, but she swatted his hand away. This time he pulled it roughly, right out of her grip.

" I WAS USING THAT ! " she yelled in mock irritation. He stood up, a satisfied smirk on his face as he walked over to the dresser to take out his night clothes. She sat up, her back against the headboard and her arms crossed over her chest as she glared at him in the darkness. The floor-to-ceiling window behind their bed let the moon shine through gracefully, casting its luminance upon Youngbae who continued to look through the drawers.

" Pointless . " she said.

" What ? " he didn't turn around, still digging for the clothes he wanted.

" To put on clothes I'm just going to take back off . " she said . He paused and looked up at his shadow cast on the wall, he turned to her.

" Do you want to go into work tomorrow paralyzed ? " he leaned against the dresser and crossed his arms over his bare chest.

" Try me . "

" Don't say I didn't warn you . " he shrugged and crawled onto the bed, kissing Asia with an intense passion .
