Night before the play
Jaejoong was apprehensive. He was still unsure if he could coax the modern-day Bomi to willingly submit to him, and reenact with him the ritual of the blood exchange. He had a long conversation with Junsu the other night. He was convinced that if they would be able to directly trigger the memories of the two women then they would be able to remember everything. Junsu was uncomfortable with the idea at first; because he wanted things to come at their own time, but given the unexpected danger he was now willing to take a risk… If it would mean saving them all.
Jaejoong took a deep breath. How peculiar, he thought. He had always been brave. When he was fighting the wild Krycan rebels, centuries ago, he felt rage but never fear. But now, standing in front of the Lee’s mansion, he was terrified that his princess would reject him. He knew that she was somehow remembering things, since that afternoon when she stole a kiss from him and that stormy night when he went to her; when his blood thirst became unbearable. But up to what extent that he didn’t know.
He quickly leaped towards the high balcony. His actions were fluid and smooth. His long, silky, dark-brown hair swayed gently with the night breeze. He pushed open the large french doors, curtains frantically moving, slightly blurring the beautiful image of the young sleeping maiden before him.
Jaejoong stepped inside. His footsteps were careful but determined. He gently sat beside his lifemate. His hand lovingly reached out and caressed her smooth cheek.
“Bomi…”

Bomi was a little disappointed when she didn’t get the chance to talk to Jaejoong. He was a bit distant and preoccupied. She tried to ask Junsu for some help but he seemed distracted too. She saw them together, that afternoon, walking towards the school’s covered parking. She wanted to approach them but they were in deep conversation and intruding them, at that moment, would seem impolite. She wanted to confront Jaejoong, to ask him about her dreams and his real connection to her.
She went home that day feeling worried and sad. She managed to forget about her worries when she was doing her homework, but when she was done; she was once again assailed with thoughts of Jaejoong. She decided to go to sleep, earlier than usual, it would at least keep her from thinking too much.
Bomi was dreaming about an old abandoned cabin, near a willow glen, when she heard someone call out to her. The voice was alluringly familiar; it induced her to awaken from her mysterious dream. Bomi gently opened her eyes and saw a figure sitting by her side.
Surprised to find an uninvited guest in her room, Bomi instantly sat up, grabbed for anything that would serve as a weapon, and raised the delicate sculpture above her head. She was about to deliver a strike when she was stopped by a pair of strong yet tender hands. She stared hard at the figure and realized that it was Jaejoong… dressed in an olden black attire. He looked like one of those gorgeous dark lords from famous vampire legends. Bomi gently lowered her hands.
“Jaejoong? What are you doing here? And why are you dressed like Youngsu?”
Silence.
Flash back to dress rehearsal day
Jaejoong, his fangs faintly showing, whispered in a soft but intimidating voice, “Watch your manners, young lady. You don’t know who you’re talking to. And for your information, I don’t have to pretend because I am the real—“
End of Flashback
“Oh my…” Bomi looked at Jaejoong, her eyes widening, “You can’t be…”

Kim Manor
Junsu was playing with the clasp of his wristlet. He was having a big problem; he still can’t find the matching bracelet. He looked everywhere, asked the whole krycan staff if they have seen the charmed ornament. Inwhan even volunteered to look for it at the basement, to which of course he didn’t approve of. Jaejoong’s sacred casket was stored in there, along with the beloved red orchid.
“Aish!”, Junsu was getting frustrated.
He stood up from his seat and tried looking for it again. He was busy turning every coffer open when the manor’s krycan butler’s voice echoed from outside his door, telling him that he has a guest waiting at the sitting room. Junsu opened the door and followed the elder krycan downstairs, unhappy to be interrupted by some unexpected visitor. He walked in and was surprised to see Ri In sipping tea inside the massive and cozy room.
“Ri In… what are you doing here?” he checked the time on his wristwatch. 11:30 pm. He didn’t expect to see her in the manor at this hour. Yes, he was planning to visit her tonight but he was planning to do it after he finds the matching bridal bangle.
Ri In turned, her face flushing. She didn’t want to disturb Junsu but she wasn’t able to sleep. She had to return his bracelet.
“Ahm… Junsu… I have something that belongs to you.” Ri In slowly showed him her left arm.
“I’m sorry, it was an accident. I----”Ri In stopped when she noticed that Junsu was staring at her arm. She looked down and gasped. The beautiful ornament was emitting an enchanting shade of green.
“What’s happen------”
Junsu took her by the hand and dragged her outside, towards the lush garden.

The council of ten is standing before the resting tombs of the higher council---the vampire king, maiden queen, vampire-adviser and maiden-mentor. They are having the final discourse on the plan for the century moon. All precautions were made to confine the manifestations of the century moon to the prince’s academy. The moon’s beam will be suppressed to the stage’s area for three hours so only the ones on the stage will be affected. All things dreamlike will become real so to protect the human world they have to restrain the century moon. General Yunho and the top vampire-krycan squad are stationed around the hall, patiently waiting.
Jaejoong and Junsu were also anxiously waiting in the library for the news from the council. They were pacing around the room when they suddenly heard a piercing whistle. The whistle serves as a secret code used by the vampire-krycan squad when they call each other but have to remain hidden.
Jaejoong and Junsu appeared before the higher council, the council of ten and the top squad through astral projection.
Yunho, together with his subordinates knelt down on one knee, acknowledging the presence of his lord and commander, “My prince. Commander Junsu.”
Jaejoong nodded towards Yunho, “And your task, Yunho?”
“Accomplished, My Prince. Youngsu and Wangjoo were sedated. They will sleep until the end of the century moon.”
“Well done, Yunho.” Junsu said, turning his attention to the council of ten, “and what do we have to expect on the duration of the century moon?”
The council reiterated all that has been planned.
