Several weeks later...
You sighed and looked out the window. Your dad came in, “Hey honey.” “Hi, dad. Do you want some coffee?” “Sure.”
You opened the left cupboard to find unfamiliar food. “The cups are on the top shelf, sweetie.” Your dad said.
“Oh… right.” At Jaejoong’s the cups were always in the left cupboard.
“Sweetie, are you okay? Lately, you’ve been preoccupied with something.” your dad asked.
“I’m fine.” You faked a smile.
But your dad could read through you. “You miss him, don’t you?” your dad asked.
“Who?” you asked, puzzled. “
The boy who saved you… Jaejoong.” Your dad sipped his coffee. You didn’t reply.
“You know what I think? You’re in love with him.” Your dad softly said.
Your eyes widened, “Love…?”
“Sweetie, it says love all over your face.” Your dad chuckled. “And you say his name in your sleep way too many times to call it a coincidence.”
You stared at the ground. * Jaejoong * You started to cry, “Dad, what am I going to do?”
Your dad came over and hugged you. He stroked your hair, “I think it’s time for you to go back.”
You looked up at him, “But what about you?”
“Sweetie, I’d rather you be happy with him than be depressed with me.” Your dad said. “You can visit me anytime.”
You hugged your dad tearfully, “Thank you …”

Jaejoong had been drowning himself in work so that he couldn’t think about you. He tried to stay away from home because it reminded him of you too much. *Shit. I forgot the company contract.* Jaejoong sped home. He pressed the PIN number and went in.
He stopped in his tracks and slowly turned around. He saw you, asleep on the sofa. He couldn’t believe his eyes. Jaejoong slowly approached you. He sat on the edge of the sofa. Carefully, he reached out to touch you but suddenly, you opened your eyes.
Your eyes widened as you recognized Jaejoong’s face. “Jaejoong oppa!” You rapidly sat up and wrapped your arms around Jaejoong’s neck. His eyes widened in surprise. You squeezed him tightly, “Oppa.”
Jaejoong gently broke away from you, “What are you doing here?”
“Why… do you not want me here?” you asked, a bit hurt.
“No. Of course not.” Jaejoong shook his head.
Timidly, you looked down, “I missed you…”
Jaejoong looked at you, surprised.
“I thought about you everyday. I kept on thinking that I was with you. I would wake up at 6 and go into the kitchen and realize I’m not here. I would fall asleep on the couch, waiting for you. My dad would have to carry me to bed. And every time I saw someone that looked like you, I would run and grab that person… but it was never you.” Tears welled up in your eyes.
Jaejoong’s heart burst with joy and love.
You looked up at him, “Can I stay with you?”
*Is this the right thing for her? Will she be happy with me?* Jaejoong thought.
Your heart caught when he didn’t say anything. “Never mind… I’m sorry. It was stupid of me to ask that…” You got up.
Jaejoong’s heart stopped. *No. I don’t want to lose her again.*
As you walked by, Jaejoong got up and caught your wrist. He pulled you into his arms. “Don’t leave. I missed you, too. So much.” Jaejoong held you tightly.
Tears fell down your cheeks in relief.
“I love you.” Jaejoong whispered. He broke apart from you and gazed into your eyes. Then slowly, he leaned in and softly kissed you. You gladly kissed him back.
