“Where do you want to eat? How about that burger place?” Hyun Joong suggested.
“Ew.” Jaekyung made a face, “So greasy. It’ll all so straight to my thighs.” She looked around the shops, “Oooo how about that expensive pasta place over there?”
“Sure.” Hyun Joong shrugged.
The both of them entered the eatery. They ordered and the food came in half an hour. Jaekyung took small, careful bites. She had only finished 1/3 of the meal when she lay back in her chair, “I’m full.”
“You’re not going to finish it?” Hyun Joong asked.
“Ugh. No.” Jaekyung looked through her phone.
Hyun Joong sighed. The food was really expensive and she didn’t even eat most of it. He had a flashback of the first time he took you to McDonalds. You had happily stuffed your face with burgers and fries. You didn’t even care that those could add pounds on your thin figure.
“Let’s go.” Hyun Joong paid for the meal and the both of them left. “What should we do now?” he asked. “Want to go to the zoo or amusement park? How about the beach?”
“I’ll get dirty.” Jaekyung flicked her acrylic nails, “Let’s go shopping.”
Now Hyun Joong loved shopping. After all he was into fashion. However, shopping with Jaekyung was a pain in the ass. It took at least 4 hours and she usually had something to complain about afterwards. Like right now, she was whining at the sales manager that the heels she had bought were too low. Hyun Joong’s lips pressed into a thin, impatient line. He exasperatedly sighed.
How many times had he sighed that day?
Hyun Joong had a flashback of the playful day at the beach and mall he had with you. Things were way easier with you. He slightly smiled at the memories.
“Let’s go, Hyun Joong.” Jaekyung snapped her fingers. “Let’s stop by Pique first.” Hyun Joong said.
“Fine. But make it quick. I have a nail appointment at 6.” Jaekyung snapped.
Hyun Joong rolled his eyes. The both of them entered Pique. He started to take care of the tax forms. Jaekyung leaned on the counter and scanned the store.
“Excuse me. Can you help me with something?” a timid girl asked.
“What do I look like? An employee?” Jaekyung flashed her an angry look.
“Oh. Sorry.” The girl quickly left.
Hyun Joong sighed, “Jaekyung-ah, does it really hurt you to just help her? She ran away.”
“Are you saying it’s my fault?” she glared at him.
“No. I’m saying you could’ve been less rude to my customer.” Hyun Joong calmly defended himself.
“Well, I don’t work here.” Jaekyung pointed her nose up. “Fine. Whatever.” Hyun Joong sighed. *Why do I feel so unattracted to her today? Has she always been like this?* He had a flashback of your friendly assistances to the customers even if you weren’t an employee. Well, technically not. “I’ll take you to your nail shop.” He drove her to the nail salon.
“Coming in?” Jaekyung asked.
To waste another 3 hours of his life? “No. I’ll call you.” Hyun Joong said.
“Fine. Bye.” Jaekyung pouted.
“Bye.” Hyun Joong kissed her and drove off.
