After breakfast, you went back to Pique.
Hyun Joong was busy managing the shop and making sure everything was going smoothly.
You followed him around like a duckling following its mother duck.
Hyun Joong turned around and bumped into you. “Sorry.”
“No problem.” You smiled.
Hyun Joong looked at you and lightly sighed. He put his hands on your shoulders then led you backwards onto the stool behind the counter. “Just sit here.” Hyun Joong chuckled, ruffled your hair, and left.
You watched him skillfully work. You could tell he loved fashion a lot just by the sparkle in his eyes whenever he made a matching outfit or helped people with their style.
A bit bored you blew air into your cheeks and twirled your seat around.
Hyun Joong dropped by, “Bored, huh?”
“A little.” You meekly grinned.
“Here.” Hyun Joong pulled out a tiny lollipop from the counter and gave it to you, “This might help pass the time.”
You took it and popped it into your mouth.
“Good?” Hyun Joong lifted his thumbs up.
You beamed and put 2 thumbs up, “Good.”
Hyun Joong smiled and left.
It was late at night.
You were sitting at your spot on the display window.
Hyun Joong was busy calculating the profit of the day. “Done.” He sighed and put the money in the vault. “Good night.”
You sat up straight, “Are you going?”
“Yes.” Hyun Joong nodded.
“Oh… okay. Bye.” You waved, a bit disappointed.
Hyun Joong waved and turned to leave but stopped. *Is it all right for her to be here alone? She’s been living here for a while but she was a mannequin back then. Now she’s a real, live girl. I can’t just leave her here alone unprotected.* He looked at you, “~~~~~~~~-ah.”
“Yes?” You looked at him with your big, innocent eyes.
“Do you… want to go to my house?”
