It was the 2nd day.
You came out of the changing room, “Good?”
Hyun Joong stepped closer to you and checked your black flower earrings. He took your wrist and examined the bracelet. Seeing that you looked perfect, Hyun Joong smiled, “Good.”
“Yes!” you pumped your fist.
Hyun Joong laughed, “Ready to work?”
“Ready!” you beamed.
Right as Pique opened, customers came flooding in. You cheerfully helped them pick out clothes. “I need a size 5 of this!” a girl called.
“Coming!” you quickly brought her the jeans.
“What bottom fits this?” a lady held out a pink halter.
You tried to remember what Hyun Joong had dressed you along with that clothing. “Aha! How about this khaki skirt?” “Hmm. I like it.” The lady nodded approvingly.
Some girls lightly tapped your shoulder.
You turned around.
“We really like your top. Where did you get it?”
“Right here!” you pointed to a nearby rack where there were tons of tops like yours. The girls dove for it like hawks.
“I like your bracelet!”
“I love your heels!”
“Oh my gosh! Your earrings are the cutest things ever!” “It’s all here in Pique!” you proudly smiled.
“So you’re like a walking mannequin?” the girls chuckled. *What an irony.* You grinned, “Yep. I am exactly that.” “Can you help me?” a lady asked.
“Sure thing!” you rushed over.
Hyun Joong watched you work with excitement and friendliness. He appreciatively smiled at your efforts.
While Hyun Joong was helping someone match their outfit, you were working at the cash registry. It got stuck and you bit your lip, “Hyun Joong oppa?” He swiftly came over and smoothly pressed in some numbers. The machine spit out. Hyun Joong put his hand on your head, “Sorry. She’s a newbie.” You embarrassingly smiled.
“But a very pretty one.” The lady remarked.
“I think so, too.” Hyun Joong smiled at you and left.
Your heart fluttered in excitement and a joyous smile covered your face *He thinks I’m pretty!* “Have a good day!” you brightly gave the lady her change.
Towards the end of the day, you helped Hyun Joong change the clothes on the mannequins. “Do they come alive at midnight, too?” he asked.
You shook your head, “Nope. Just me.”
“I wonder why that is.” Hyun Joong pondered.
