After a few more hours of playing outside, the kids had to eat and go to bed. You tucked the girls into bed and Jaejoong tucked the boys into bed. “Have some ice cream before you go.” The woman gave the two of you vanilla ice cream cones. The both of you sat on the swings outside while licking the cones.
“It was a fun day, huh?” Jaejoong asked.
You nodded, “Very. Do you do this often?”
He nodded, “Every year. You?”
“Same here. This is my first time at this orphanage, though.” You licked your cone.
“It’s nice that you would do something like this.” Jaejoong smiled at you.
You blushed.
“I tried to convince Boa to come with me but she hates kids.” Jaejoong scrunched up his nose in distaste.
“Ah, I see.” *Of course. As expected for an evil witch.* you thought.
“You played tough today. I didn’t know you were good at sports.” Jaejoong grinned.
You shook your head, “I’m not. I just have a lot of energy for this one day. Besides, you see how horrible I am at P.E.”
“True. I still have the bruise from the tennis match the other day.” Jaejoong rubbed his arm at the memory. The both of you had played tennis on Monday and you had accidentally thrown your tennis racket at him.
You cringed, “Sorry about that.”
“I’m just kidding.” Jaejoong chuckled.
You smiled back.
He looked at the sky and his face brightened with amazement, “Whoa. The moon is huge!”
You looked up at the enormous, pale moon, “Wow… it’s beautiful!”
“You know if you hold your hand out and put your fingers out as if you’re holding cards; it looks like you’re holding the moon?” Jaejoong closed one eye and held his fingers out. You did the same. It really did look like the moon was in your hands. You laughed with thrill, “Oh my gosh! You’re right!”
Suddenly, a hand reached out and clasped over yours.
You looked up and met eyes with Jaejoong. His expression was soft and the moon light lit up his face in the right places. He gently lowered your hand down. You gulped as your heart fluttered in nervousness.
Jaejoong reached out and took your glasses off.
You blinked at him.
“The first thing I noticed about you was your eyes. I think you have the most beautiful eyes in the world.” Jaejoong softly whispered.
You felt heat creep up your face and you looked away. He cupped your chin and turned your face to him. Then Jaejoong began to lean in.
Bit by bit.
Until his lips pressed against yours.
You felt your heart explode with butterflies.
Jaejoong tilted his head to the side to get a better angle and deeply kissed you. *Oh my gosh. Kim Jaejoong is kissing me. The guy I love is kissing me!* Minutes later, he pulled away. Jaejoong rested his forehead on yours and murmured, “I’ve always wanted to do that. Ever since I first saw you in your patio.”
“But… what about Boa?”
“Shh.” He put his index finger on your lips, “Let’s not think about anything else but us tonight. Okay?”
After a pause, you finally conceded, “Okay.”
Jaejoong smiled and leaned in, “Good.” As he kissed you, he wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you close to him. Like chocolate on a hot, sunny day, you melted in his strong arms *Kim Jaejoong I am so in love. I hope you never break my heart because if you do, I’ll be crushed for life…*
