The bell rang for the end of school.
You were walking out of the school gates when a silver convertible stopped next to you. You glanced to the side and saw Jaejoong. Boa and her friends were in the car also. They glared daggers at you.
“Hi, ~~~~~~~`-ah.” he waved.
“Hi.” You waved back.
“Want a ride? I’ll take you home.” Jaejoong offered. Before you could reply, Boa blurted, “But there’s no more room Jaejoong.”
“Yes, there is.” He said, confused.
“No. Um-we have to pick up Tiffany on the way. So yeah. Sorry ~~~~~~~`-ah.” Boa said.
“It’s fine.” You shook your head.
Jaejoong gave you an apologetic look, “I’m sorry. I’ll give you a ride next time.”
“Don’t worry about it.” You said.
“Bye.” Jaejoong waved and drove off.
You waved, “Bye.” Sighing wistfully, you went home.
You were standing on your patio just staring out at the night sky. Suddenly, you heard a door open. You looked straight across and saw Jaejoong. “Hey.”
“Hi.” You smiled.
“I was hoping you’d be here.” He said.
“Really?” your heart perked up.
“Yup. Hold on a sec.” Jaejoong went back to his room. He came back out with his hands behind his back, “Guess what I have? Ta-da!” He brought out a plate of chocolate cheesecake.
Your eyes widened a bit and you blinked in surprise.
“I just got this from the bakery. Want to share?” Jaejoong smiled.
“…Sure.” You shrugged.
“Great…uh… will your parents freak out if I come over right now?” Jaejoong winced.
You glanced at your clock. Midnight. “I think so.” You said in disappointment.
Jaejoong shrugged, “Well then, I guess I have no choice.” He put the plate on the table and went back inside.
You sadly sighed and turned to go back in.
“Can you help me?” you heard Jaejoong huff.
You turned around and your eyes widened at the sight of Jaejoong with a long ladder. He placed it on the railings so that a bridge connected your room and his. “Hold tight onto the ladder.” Jaejoong instructed.
Absentmindedly, you clamped onto the ends of the ladder.
He grabbed the plate of cake and hopped onto the ladder. Your eyes widened, “No-wait!” Before you could protest anymore, Jaejoong had already walked over the bridge. He jumped off and grinned at you.
“You’re crazy!” you said in disbelief.
Jaejoong looked over your railing and glanced at the ground, which was a long way down, “I think I am, too.”
You burst into laughter and he laughed along. The both of you sat on the lounge chairs in your balcony. “Here.” Jaejoong handed you a fork.
“Thanks.” You took it from him.
“This is my sorry cake by the way.” Jaejoong said.
“Sorry cake?” you asked in puzzlement.
A soft smile was playing on his lips, “I want to apologize for not being able to give you a ride earlier. Turns out we didn’t have to pick up Tiffany after all.”
*That’s not surprising.* you thought.
“So…forgive me? Instead, I’ll take you to school tomorrow.” Jaejoong charmingly smiled.
“Okay.” You smiled back.
“Cool. Let’s eat!” The two of you ate the cake and talked about random things. Jaejoong asked a lot of questions about you: what you liked, what you disliked, what your favorite color was, etc. There was only 1 piece of the cake left. “Here, you eat it.” Jaejoong held the plate out.
You shook your head, “No. You eat it.”
“It’s your cake. I brought it for you. So eat it.” Jaejoong took the cake and popped it into your mouth. “Hmpf?” you covered your mouth and looked up at him with your bambi eyes.
Jaejoong smiled and put his hand on top of your head, “Sweet dreams, princess.” Then he leaped onto the ladder and darted back to his room. He landed on his patio and turned back to you.
You blinked at him.
Jaejoong gave you a small, joking bow.
You giggled.
“See you in the morning!” he waved and went inside.
Feeling like your grin would eat up your face, you also went in.
