You were lying in the nurse’s office.
Jaejoong was right by your side, hoping that you would wake up soon. He gazed at your comatose figure. Jaejoong reached out and brushed away a piece of your hair.
Right then, your eyes fluttered open.
He pulled his hand back.
You looked around the room and your eyes landed on Jaejoong. “Woke up?” he asked.
You sat up and winced.
“Don’t get up.” Jaejoong gently pushed your shoulder and you lay back down.
“How bad is it?” you croaked.
“Not too bad… just a cut on your cheek and a couple bruises here and there.” Jaejoong handed you a mirror.
You peered into it, “Where are my glasses?”
“Here…” he handed you a broken mess of your black framed glasses.
“Oh no. These were new.” You sighed.
“I’m sorry. I’ll buy you a new one.” Jaejoong offered. “No. It’s not your fault. I can get a new pair tomorrow.” You sighed.
It was quiet for a bit until Jaejoong broke the silence, “I apologize for Boa and her friends’ behavior. They’re usually not that rowdy.”
You didn’t say anything.
“If it makes you feel any better, I scolded them.” he meekly smiled.
You couldn’t help but chuckle.
Jaejoong grinned, “So… would you like to skip classes today?”
You shot up, “Ow. No, I can’t. I have the chemistry test today.”
“So do I. What do you say to ditching class just for today and we can take the make-up test together?” Jaejoong suggested.
You contemplated it.
“Come on. I know there’s a bad girl in there somewhere.” He teasingly poked your side.
You giggled, “Okay. But just for today.”
“Promise.” Jaejoong held out his pinky.
You smiled and laced your pinky into it.
“Let’s go!” Jaejoong took your hand and yanked you forwards.
“Ow.” You flinched in pain.
“Oops, sorry. Here.” Jaejoong held both of your hands and you got out of bed. The both of you snuck out of campus and into his car. “Let’s go eat chocolate cheesecake! Woo!” Jaejoong cheered.
You laughed as the wind swirled around your face. He pulled over in front of a bakery and the both of you went in. “What do you want to drink?” Jaejoong asked.
“Um…” you squinted since you couldn’t see the menu board. Jaejoong noticed that you had trouble seeing and read off the list, “There’s orange juice, caramel frapp, milk, chocolate milk, strawberry shake, coffee, green tea, and soda.” “I’ll have orange juice.” You replied. “Great.” Jaejoong ordered a large piece of chocolate cheesecake, orange juice, and coffee. He paid for it and the both of you sat at a small, round table.
“Eat. You need to regain your energy.”
You took a piece of the cake and ate it. It tasted heavenly and it melted in your mouth.
“Good?” Jaejoong asked.
You nodded, “Is this what we’ll always eat when I’m down?”
Jaejoong laughed, “Maybe. This will be our secret food. Just between us.”
You took a sip of your juice, “Do you and Boa have a secret food?”
“Nope.” he shook his head.
That fact made you smile and forget about your pain.
After you finished the last portion of the cake, Jaejoong suggested, “Let’s watch a movie. It’ll be a waste of our ditching efforts if we just went home.”
So the two of you went to watch UP, the beloved animated movie. You anxiously looked about the theater as if a teacher would pop out of nowhere and expel you.
“Hey, relax. No one else is here. And if we do get caught, I’ll take all the blame.” Jaejoong assured you.
You took a deep breath and tried to calm down.
The movie started and you loosened up.
You and Jaejoong cracked up at the hilarious parts.
You looked over at him. He laughed as Doug the dog said “SQUIRREL!”
A smile lit your sore lips *I can’t believe I’m at the movies with the kingka Jaejoong. It’s kind of like a date! He is so sweet and kind to me. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that. Thank you Jaejoong. You’re the best!*
