Yunho parked in front of a fancy, bright restaurant.
“This way, kids.” Mr. Lee motioned.
The 8 of you entered the eatery. The waiter led you to a nice big table with a glamorous couple.
“Welcome!” Mr. and Mrs. Sung greeted. They shook hands with Mr. Lee and your mom. “Why Yunho, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Changmin, and Junsu! The 5 of you have grown up!” they beamed.
The boys bowed their thanks.
“And this must be your new stepdaughter.” They smiled at you.
You politely bowed, “Hello.”
“Very beautiful, indeed. I’m surprised her new brothers haven’t fallen for her!” Mrs. Sung laughed.
The boys slightly stiffened.
You smiled in confusion *That won’t happen.*
“Sit, sit! Let’s eat and talk!” the Sungs motioned. “Our son should he here soon, too. Ah. There he is! Kimbum!”
The 6 of you turned around to see a charming looking male in a nice suit walk towards the table.
*Oh shit. It’s the charming asshole.* the boys sourly glowered at him.
“Sorry, mother and father. I just came back from the school debate.” He kissed Mrs. Sung’s cheek. “Kimbum, sweetie, meet the Lee’s. You already know the boys.”
He nodded at them and smirked, “Hey.”
“And this is their new stepsister,~~~~~~~.” Mrs. Sung introduced.
Kimbum pleasantly smiled at you. He took your hand and kissed it, “Pleased to meet you.”
You blushed. “Nice to meet you, too.”
Behind you, the boys were seething in resentment *That player always knows how to get girls.*
All of you sat at the round table. You sat between Jaejoong and Yoochun. The adults ate and chatted along. You sliced your steak. Or at least tried to. It was like rubber. Jaejoong glanced at your plate and at you. Then he snapped his fingers. A waiter came by. “Get her another plate. Do you want her teeth to break?” Jaejoong hissed.
“I’m sorry, sir.” The waiter bowed, took your plate, and left.
“Oppa, you didn’t have to do that.” You quietly spoke. Jaejoong shrugged, “I don’t want you to cry in the middle of the night.”
You softened.
“You’ll wake me up and I’ll get pissed off. I’m a very sensitive sleeper.” He added.
“Oh.” You nodded. *And for a moment, I thought he really cared about me.*
The waiter brought you a fresh plate of steak. You said thank you and started to cut it up. But you failed again.
Jaejoong rolled his eyes.
Yoochun took your plate from you. He kindly sliced it for you. Done, he gave it back to you.
“Oh. Thank you.” You beamed.
Yoochun nodded.
Jaejoong sneered *I could’ve done that.*
Kimbum watched you and your stepbrothers in interest. He slyly smiled and sipped his wine *Well well well, can it be? The 5 princes’ true love is their stepsister? Scandalous indeed.*
Suddenly, graceful classic music turned on and people headed to the dance floor to ballroom dance.
“Ooo! Look at that honey!” Mrs. Sung squealed. “Let’s go!” Mr. and Mrs. Sung went to the dance floor. Your mom and Mr. Lee also went.
You and the boys watched.
You giddily smiled and clapped in delight.
Kimbum chuckled at your actions and stood up. He walked over to you and bowed halfway. He held his hand out, “Would you give me a dance?”
Your eyes widened then you excitedly smiled.
You put your hand in his and he led you to the dance floor. Your stepbrothers’ eyes widened and they gaped at the two of you. *Oh no. Is he going to use his 5 steps?*
On cue, Kimbum grabbed your hand. Then he tugged you towards him. Your eyes slightly widened in surprise and you looked up at him. Kimbum smiled and slid his index finger down your nose. You blinked at him. Suddenly, Kimbum put an arm around your waist and pulled you even closer to his body. Lastly, he dipped you. You gasped in shock.
*THAT BASTARD! HE DID USE THEM!* your stepbrothers clenched their hands into fists.
Kibum leaned close to your face and smiled, “~~~~~-yang, are you okay?”
You smiled and nodded.
“Good.” He whispered and straightened you up. Kimbum was very good at dancing and he gracefully twirled you around the dance floor.
You giggled. It felt refreshing to have a polite gentleman without the tension and rudeness your stepbrothers abused on you.
The song ended.
Kimbum bowed and you curtsied.
“Excuse me. I need to use the ladies’ room.” You left. Kimbum went back to the table. Your stepbrothers were silently sulking. Kimbum sipped his water. Instantly, all 5 pairs of eyes glared at him.
Kimbum chuckled, “Why the glare, guys? Protective over your new sister? Or perhaps…jealousy?”
The 5 boys scoffed.
Amused, Kimbum leaned forwards and with a clever smirk, “If I weren’t mistaken, I’d say all 5 of you are in love with your stepsister. Sweet but forbidden.”
Your stepbrothers stared at him *WHAT? LOVE? NO WAY*
You came back from the restroom.
“Ah, ~~~~~~~` yang, I was just about to leave. I have a birthday party to attend.” Kimbum said. He glanced at your stepbrothers, charmingly smiled, and pecked your cheek.
Your eyes widened and you looked at him.
Your stepbrothers sat up in their seats with a burning desire to beat the charming ass up.
“Until next time, ~~~~~~ yang.” Kimbum bowed. He passed by your stepbrothers and stopped, “Think about what I said. You all know that I’m rarely wrong.” Kimbum smirked and left. *Why that bitch!* your stepbrothers growled inside their heads.
