Yunho ran towards the port.
He turned back, “Hurry up slowpoke!”
“My legs aren’t long as yours.” You complained.
*They’re long enough.* Yunho thought back to what he had seen in the bathroom the other night. He shook the image out of his head and ran towards the boat.
But it was gone.
“What the-?” Yunho saw it halfway across the waters. He stopped a fisherman, “When is the next boat?”
“Tomorrow morning at 11.” The man gruffly answered.
“The next day? Aw, shit.” Yunho smoothed his face with his hand.
You finally caught up to him, “What’s wrong? Where’s out boat?”
Yunho pointed to the fading ship.
Your eyes widened in distress, “Then how do we get back home?”
“We have to sleep here tonight.” Yunho grumbled.
“What? But-“
“Unless you want to swim across?” Yunho raised an eyebrow at you.
You shut your mouth.
“Let’s go look for a place.” Yunho stalked up the road. You followed him.
An hour later, you and Yunho finally found a small inn.
“Two rooms,” Yunho ordered.
“We only have one room left.” The owner replied.
“What? Aw, great. Fine. We’ll take it.” Yunho replied. “Here you go. For the lovely couple.” The owner handed him a key.
“Excuse me but we’re sib-“
Yunho covered your mouth with his hand, “Thanks.” He pulled you up the stairs.
You pushed his hand away, “But we’re not a couple.” “We’re not siblings either.” Yunho snarled. He unlocked the room and went in.
You trailed after him and shut the door.
The two of you watched TV, read the magazines in the corner, and just fumbled awkwardly around.
Before you knew it, it was 1 in the morning.
You sleepily yawned.
Yunho looked at you, “Go to sleep.”
You shook your head, “I’m okay.” It was weird having to sleep in the same room as a boy. Even if he was your stepbrother. Y
unho rolled his eyes, “I’m not going to do anything to you. So sleep.”
You bit your lip contemplatively. Gradually, you made the blankets into two beds. One for you and one for Yunho. You climbed into the pink one and instantly fell asleep.
At 2, Yunho finally turned the lights off and went into the blankets. He made himself comfortable and sighed.
Yunho glanced at you. You were curled up on your side away from Yunho. He slid closer to you and wrapped an arm around your waist. Yunho pulled you close to him. He sat up halfway and gazed at you.
Still asleep, you reflexively rolled around so that your back wasn’t facing Yunho anymore.
He blinked in surprise.
You wrapped your arm around his waist, mumbled something, and drifted even deeper into slumber.
Yunho affectionately smiled. He put his hand on your cheek and softly stroked it with his thumb. “You really are beautiful.” Yunho whispered. He leaned in and gently kissed your forehead. Then Yunho encircled his arms around you and fell asleep.
