After a week, you were allowed to go back home.
You still had a bandage taped on the side of your forehead and your ankle was slightly sprained.
Changmin rolled your wheelchair into the house.
“Do you want to eat something, honey?” your mom asked.
You shook your head, “No. I just want to rest.”
You stood up and limped up the stairs.
Suddenly, Junsu came by and swept you up in his arms. “Junsu oppa.” Your eyes widened.
“If you need to go somewhere, tell me. I’ll take you.” Junsu said. He carried you bridal style to your room and gently lay you on your bed.
“Thank you.” You crawled under your covers and closed your eyes.
Junsu nodded and left.
That night, Junsu went downstairs to get a drink of water. The 1st floor was dark except for a soft glow in the kitchen. Curious, he went to check it out. A white birthday cake was lit up with candles.
You popped up behind him, “BOO!”
Junsu looked at you, “What is all this?”
“It’s to celebrate your birthday! Happy birthday, Junsu oppa!” you cheered.
Junsu’s eyes widened, “How did you know…?”
You shrugged and adorably smiled. You put your finger to your lips, “Secret. Now come on, blow the candles out.” You tugged him towards the cake. “Make a wish first!” you advised.
Junsu paused then blew the candles out.
“Yay! Whoo!” you popped the part poppers. Silly strings flew everywhere. “Oppa, be happy and healthy this year too! Here! Present!” you handed him a box.
Junsu took it from you. He stared at you.
“Open it! Come on!” you excitedly said.
Junsu opened the box to reveal a gray scarf that you knitted yourself. He took the soft material out and fondly gazed at it.
“I made it. I hope it fits. Here, let’s try it on. I could always fix it.” You took it from him and wrapped it around his neck. It fit perfectly. “Perfect!” you beamed and clapped
. Junsu gazed at you. This was the first time since his mother had passed away that someone remembered his birthday. He either never celebrated his birthday at all or celebrated with his friends. Junsu watched you limp around the kitchen looking for plates and forks. *Even if she is injured, she still made the time and effort to make my birthday special. She didn’t even blame me for her car accident.*
You walked up to him, “Want to cut the cake Birthday Boy?” Junsu adoringly gazed into your eyes *~~~~~~~. I think I am in love with you.*
Swiftly, he wrapped his arms around you and held you close. Your eyes widened, “Junsu oppa.”
“Thank you. Thank you for everything.” He whispered.
You smiled and patted his back, “You’re welcome.”
Junsu embraced you tightly *This was what I was waiting for all my life. Someone for me to love. Someone to love me back. My love. ~~~~~~~``.*
