It was lunchtime.
You and your friends sat at the usual table.
Suddenly, someone pulled up a chair next to you. You looked up and saw Chung Lim. He smiled, “Hey.”
“Hi, oppa. What are you doing here?” you asked.
“I’ll be your new lunch buddy.” He cheerfully grinned.
You chuckled.
Your friends gaped at you.
Jihae whispered, “Do you know the Handsome Prince?!”
You nodded, “He’s my friend. Jihae, Sooyun, and Yejin this is Chung Lim oppa.”
“Hi. Nice to meet you.” He gave them a friendly smile and shook their hands. They greeted him back.
The fan girls slithered by, “Gosh. What a whore. She gets all 5 princes and now she wants the attention of the new prince? She’s not even in any of the fan clubs.”
You bit you lip. That was the 2nd time someone called you that now.
Chung Lim casually flipped his hair, “I don’t know why my friend and ex-girlfriend has to be in a stupid fan club in order to talk to me.”
The fan girls gaped at you, “What?”
Chung Lim gave them a cold glare, “If you ask me, the whores are you, girls. Didn’t all 5 of you sleep with the Hot Prince Jung Yunho?”
They embarrassingly looked away.
“Do you get my drift now? So please do me a favor and don’t be shitty to her. I personally get pissed off when someone messes with the girl I like. Don’t you girls get mad when someone messes with the princes?” Chung Lim smirked. The girls slunk away.
You gently pushed his arm, “Oppa, you didn’t have to be so rude.”
“They were rude to you.” He pointed out.
“I know.” You shrugged.
“How come your stepbrothers don’t defend you? Do they just let you be mistreated like this?” Chung Lim furrowed his eyebrows.
“No. They do protect me. Yunho oppa and Jaejoong oppa helped me last time.” You defended your stepbrothers.
Chung Lim sighed, “Apparently, that isn’t enough.”
Right then, Jaejoong came into the cafeteria with his friends. You waved at him. He smiled back but it disappeared as soon as he saw Chung Lim. Scowling, he left.
Chung Lim had a curious expression on his face, “I don’t think your brother likes me very much.”
You didn’t say anything.
After school, Chung Lim walked you home. He followed you into the house. The two of you did homework on the kitchen table.
Yoochun and Changmin came home. “Hey, ~~~~~~-ah.” They smiled.
“Hi, oppas.” You beamed.
They noticed Chung Lim and went upstairs without a word of greeting.
“Okay, they don’t like me either.” Chung Lim noticed. You didn’t say anything again.
Yunho came home.
“Hi, Yunho oppa.” You quietly said.
Yunho snorted jealously at the sight of you two together and ran up to his room. You heard his room slam shut.
“What’s his problem?” Chung Lim sneered.
You sighed *I wish I knew, too.*
Junsu came downstairs from his room. He opened the refrigerator door and peered in.
You hopped up to him, “Oppa, are you hungry? Should I make you something?”
He shook his head, “I’m okay.” Junsu glared at Chung Lim and left.
Chung Lim chuckled to himself, amused.
At 6, Jaejoong came downstairs, “~~~~~~~-ah, your friend here has to go home. We’re going out to eat.”
“Oh. Okay.” You nodded.
Chung Lim put his notebook in his backpack and headed out the door. You walked him out to the front.
Chung Lim turned back and faced you, “~~~~~~~~~-ah…” “Yes?”
“I know this is out of my hands and I might just be paranoid… but I have a feeling your stepbrothers are in love with you.” Chung Lim carefully declared.
“I love them, too.” You nodded.
“Not like that.” Chung Lim shook his head, “As in they think of you as a girl. Not as a sister.”
You laughed and shook your head, “That’s impossible. We’re siblings. They don’t-no they can’t- think of me like that.”
“I guess you’re right. I guess I’m just making too much of things.” Chung Lim meekly laughed. “Well, I’ll see you tomorrow.” He left.
You went back inside.
Jaejoong was sipping his water bottle. “So where are we going out to eat?” you asked.
“Oh. About that. Yeah, my dad called and he said it got canceled.” Jaejoong shrugged.
‘Oh… okay then.” You said, a bit disappointed.
Jaejoong headed upstairs. When he wasn’t in your sight, he smirked in satisfaction, “That got rid of him.”
