“Hey! Did you guys hear?” Jihae ran up to you during break. Sooyun, Yejin, and you shook your heads.
“There’s supposed to be this big party tonight at the Neon Club tonight! It’s the fan girls’ party. The Princes and Members only. Everyone has to have dates. So apparently, we’re not invited. I mean unless one of the Princes ask us but that’s a fat chance.” Jihae snorted.
You nodded, “Wow, that’s cool.”
“No, it’s too clique.” Jihae rolled her eyes.
You laughed as the bell rang. Class started once again.
At lunch, you went to your locker to put your books away. “Hey.” Jaejoong approached.
You looked at him and smiled, “Hi, oppa. Here’s your lunch by the way.”
“Thanks.” He took it and shyly scratched the back of his head, “So, um, did you hear about the party tonight?”
You pushed your history book in, “Yeah, at the Neon club, right?”
Jaejoong nodded, “Are you going?”
You shook your head, “No. And besides I’m not a member.” “Well, you can go if a Prince asks you.” Jaejoong said.
You pulled out your math book, “I know.”
Jaejoong cleared his throat, “Then-um- will you be my d-“ “Jaejoong oppa! There you are!” Candy skipped up to him, “You’re my date for tonight! Let’s go!” she pulled his arm away.
“Wait-what?!” Jaejoong looked confused.
“All the fan club leaders have to go with her own Prince.” Candy beamed.
“Aw, shit.” Jaejoong groaned.
“Have fun!” you waved.
Jaejoong grimaced *I won’t without you by my side.*
You put your book in your backpack and walked towards the cafeteria. When you turned the corner, you bumped into Yunho. “Watch it.” He hissed.
“Sorry.” You mumbled.
“Where’s that puppy of yours?” Yunho growled.
“Who?” you asked, baffled.
“The guy that follows you like a love sick puppy. Chun Lee or something.” Yunho twirled his finger around, searching for the name in his head.
“Oh. Chung Lim oppa? I don’t know.” You shrugged.
“Oh.” Yunho said.
You nodded and brushed past him but he caught your arm, “Wait.” You turned back and looked at him. “Do you know about the party tonight?” Yunho asked.
“Yes.”
“Are you going?”
“No, I can’t. I’m not a member.” You stated.
“You can go if a Prince asks you.” Yunho informed.
“I know.” You said, yet again.
“Do you… um… want to be my date?” Yunho asked, his face slightly pink.
Your eyes widened, “D-date?”
“Yeah, I mean, just for the night. If you want to go, I can take you.” Yunho muttered embarrassingly.
You blinked then sweetly smiled, “Yunho oppa, you’re too nice. It’s okay. You don’t have to feel sorry for me. I don’t really care if I don’t go.”
“But-“
“Besides, I heard all the Princes have to go with their fan club leaders. So have fun.” You waved and left.
“But it’s not out of pity.” Yunho sighed. “I really wanted you to be my date.”
After school, Chung Lim walked you home. “Bye. See you on Monday.” You waved and turned to go in.
“Wait.” He grabbed your arm.
You faced him.
“Did you hear about the party at Neon club tonight?” Chung Lim asked.
“Yes.” You felt like a broken record player. This was the 3rd time someone brought this up!
“You know that every Prince needs a date, right?”
“Yes, but every Prince has a date: their fan club leader.” You confirmed.
“Ah, but that’s where you’re wrong.” Chung Lim smiled, “I don’t have a fan club leader… yet. They have to audition or something like that to be one. Anyways, I’ll get to the point. Will you be my date?”
“But-“
“Come on, ~~~~~-ah. Do you honestly want your ex-boyfriend to be dateless loser?” he made a puppy face.
You couldn’t help but laugh, “Okay, okay.”
“Great. I’ll pick you up at 7.” Chung Lim waved and left.
*What am I going to wear tonight?* you wondered.
