It was hard avoiding Yunho. Now you couldn’t even fake bright and happiness around him.
It was late afternoon and the sun was setting.
You sat at the same square table-like chair in front of the small market.
You sighed and looked up at the pastel sky.
”What are you thinking about?” a calm voice asked.
You jumped, “Yoochun oppa! You scared me!”
He smiled, “Sorry.”
“What? No ice cream this time?” you teased.
“Of course not.” He handed you a vanilla cone.
You laughed and took it.
As you bit into it, Yoochun asked, “Why are you avoiding Yunho?”
The smile disappeared from your face and you became quiet. You swallowed hard.
“Tell me. What is he brothering you about now?” Yoochun questioned.
“He… He said something ridiculous.” You tried to laugh it off.
“What exactly did he say?” Now Yoochun was really curious. You bit your lip, “Yunho oppa… said he loved me. Not like a sister. But as a girl.”
Yoochun inhaled *That bastard. I knew it.* “That isn’t surprising.” He mumbled.
You shot your head up and looked at him, “It isn’t?” “No.” Yoochun shook his head. “But he’s not the only one.”
You curiously looked at him.
Yoochun gazed at you, “I love you, too.”
Your eyes widened in shock, “What?”
Yoochun slowly leaned in and slid his thumb across your lips and wiped the dab of cream off your lips, “I love you, too, ~~~~~~. Not as a brother but as a guy. And I hope you’ll accept my feelings.” Then he leaned in and gently kissed your lips.
Stunned, you dropped your cone.
Yoochun pulled away and softly smiled at you.
“Oppa…”
“I know. We’re so called siblings. But we’re step siblings. Not real ones. And you don’t have to choose now. But between Yunho and me, I can love you better.” He heaved a deep sigh and looked up at the sky, “I feel better letting it out now.”
You gazed at him *But we can’t…*
“It looks like it’s going to rain. Let’s go in.” Yoochun took your hand and led you home.
You quietly dragged along *Now 2 of my stepbrothers love me. Is anyone else in love with me?*
