“Bye, mom.” You waved and left the house.
Yunho was in his car and Jaejoong was on his motorcycle. They were both waiting for you. Jaejoong spotted you first. He smiled at you, “Hey, baby. Get on. I’ll give you a ride to school.”
Yunho narrowed his eyes at Jaejoong, “Since when did you give her a ride? ~~~-ah, get in my car. I’ll give you a ride.”
“Back off my girl.” Jaejoong hissed.
“She’s not your girl.” Yunho sneered back.
You bit your lip in distress. “No thank you. I can walk.” You rushed off.
“Look what you did.” Jaejoong snarled.
“It was your fault.” Yunho sniped back.
School was long. You avoided your stepbrothers except at lunch when you had to deliver their lunches. After school, you heavily trudged home. Someone grabbed your wrist. You turned around to meet Jaejoong. “I’ll give you a ride home.”
You shook your head, “It’s okay. I like walking.” You broke away from him and started walking home.
Jaejoong rolled his eyes. He got on his motorcycle and sped towards you. Then he cut off in front of you.
You stepped back in alarm.
“Get on right now.” Jaejoong glared at you.
You didn’t move.
“You know I could just make you.” He narrowed his eyes. After a minute pause, you hopped on. Jaejoong put the helmet on you. To make the minimalist contact possible, you lightly touched his waist. Jaejoong sped off. “Hold on tighter.” He ordered.
You squeezed his shirt.
Jaejoong’s eyebrows knit in anger, “Tighter, babe.”
You didn’t obey.
Jaejoong made a split decision and turned a corner that wasn’t in the direction of the house.
“Oppa, where are we going?” you panicked. He ignored you and accelerated his speed. You yelped in fright. “Hold on tighter or you’re going to fall off!” Jaejoong yelled.
You clamped onto his waist.
“You can do better, baby.” He growled and drove even faster.
You had no choice now. If you didn’t hold onto him, you would fall and crash to your death. You wrapped your arms tightly around his waist and held onto for dear life. You squeezed your eyes shut and stuck yourself onto his back. Jaejoong smugly grinned and dashed towards a small beach. He pulled over and got off. You looked around at the unfamiliar place and went up to Jaejoong, “Oppa, where are we?”
He overlooked the question and instead asked, “Why are you avoiding me like I’m the plague? Did I do something wrong? Or is there something wrong with me?”
You shook your head.
“Then why?!” Jaejoong yelled.
“I-I don’t know.” You helplessly frowned.
“I didn’t even push you to make a decision right now. All I did was tell you exactly how I feel! That isn’t a reason for you to shun me out of your life!” Jaejoong shouted.
“I know.” You quietly said.
Jaejoong sighed. His expression softened a bit. Jaejoong gripped the tops of your arms, “I told you I would give you time. I know this isn’t easy for you. So please have the courtesy to not avoid me and make me want to jump off that cliff.”
You nodded, “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay.” Jaejoong forgave you. “Let’s go home now.”
