I wanted to sort of 'trick' readers with the girl in the first chapter by making you think that she was supposed to be Ri In. =] Good for you if you didn't fall for it!
The kitchen doesn't actually symbolize anything, nor do the Christmas lights...and the same with The Little Prince. However, if you manage to somehow find symbolism within the story, it'd be awesome if you let me know! ^^
The line "You're so cute!" was meant to be somewhat of a comedic reference to what Eunhyuk had said in the first chapter about all teenage girls seeming to make comments along those lines. It reflects how, regardless of the fact that Ri In is a unique and eccentric character, she is still like all of the other girls. My message was that no matter how much people in reality strive to be different or already differ, we are all still the same in spite of those differences. Even trying to be unique makes us the same, since we're not the only ones who long to be considered different from the rest. I find that to be rather amusing-yet another thing that connects us all as human beings.
Although I was disappointed by the way the story turned out, it was just a random spur-of-the-moment one-shot, which is why I decided to post it rather than to spend hours editing it to make it perfect. I hope that you enjoyed the unpolished fanfic though, and that you also enjoyed the song!
