Jeff shook his head. “No. Lucky you finished on time,” he said. “But Mark and the others have set-up your drums just in case.”
“I hope they weren’t too rough with it,” she said, looking worried.
Jeff chuckled. “I’m sure Mark’s learned his lesson after our last gig.”
Dana laughed and looked out the window, remembering how she once literally punched Mark on the nose when he told her he accidentally left the trunk of his car open causing her drums to roll out into the street and get scratches everywhere.
“So how was shooting?” Jeff asked.
Dana smiled. It was just like him to always be concerned about everything she did. But then she remembered what had happened that afternoon and frowned. “Not so great,” she said. “F4 is a perfect example of how shallow teens are today,” she said. “They were all looks and no brains. I mean, I don’t have anything against Asia, but if those are who they call ‘talented’ then it’s not just their economic crises they have to worry about.”
“Don’t be so hard on them. It’s not just them anyway,” Jeff said. “I mean, do you honestly think that Britney Spears is doing a better job?”
Dana laughed. “I guess you have a point,” she said, agreeing. “But seriously, I used to think I was lucky I could speak Chinese, but now I just… I just wish I didn’t live in Chinatown. Now, everyone’s gonna ask me about them when I get home, and I think I’m just gonna disappoint them if I tell the truth.”
Jeff shrugged. “Then just tell them that they really look good in person,” he said. “That should be enough. I don’t really think they’ll ask you to go into too much detail. Besides, you’ve only spent about half a day with them anyway. It’s not like they’re your best friends.”
Dana nodded. “You’re right,” she said, smiling again. Jeff was always right. No matter what it was about.

Just in case there are some Britney fans out there, I just like to say that I've got nothing against her, and it's only my characters who do as they're supposed to be the rebellious types.
