Chapter 1

.whoops!.

The bells at the top of the door tinkled when it opened and I immediately looked up to see who the first customer of the coffee shop I worked in, was.

It was a tall guy, wearing a starch white polo, dark black pants, and cool sunglasses.

I raised an eyebrow. Nobody that cool ever went into our shop. I shook my head to clear it, and opened my mouth to say 'welcome', but then he took of his sunglasses, and I suddenly lost my voice, as well as the ability to close my mouth. He was the most gorgeous guy I'd ever seen.

"Good morning, sir! Welcome to Cuppajava!" my co-worker Janice said from the counter.

I furrowed my eyebrows. How could she still speak when a guy that handsome was walking towards her way? I know I was too stunned to move from the corner of the shop that I'd been mopping when he came in. Or, at least too stunned to turn my head anywhere else but HIS direction. He was just so... stunning.

I watched as he walked ever so slowly towards the counter and told Janice his order. I felt my knees grow weaker as I heard his soft, but smooth, and way way way cool voice. My grip on the mop I was holding tightened, and I heard myself sigh. This day was definitely going into my diary as one of the best days in my life.

"Thanks," I heard him say to Janice as she handed him his cup of coffee.

He turned around to walk towards the door and briefly, I saw Janice mouthing 'Oh my God!' to me from the counter.

"I know," I mouthed back to her before I turned back to watch the guy, who was... Whoah, was he walking towards me?

I froze, not knowing what to do. He already had his coffee in his hand. What was he doing walking towards the corner of our shop? All of the tables weren't anywhere near me either. Could it be that he wanted to...

"Can I get a napkin?" he said, breaking my thoughts.

Right. The napkin dispenser was on the part of the counter that was just beside me. Of course! Why didn't I think that it was what he wanted?
Because he's too gorgeous for anyone to think straight?
I heard at the back of my mind, but ignored it.
"Of course," I said, turning quickly to get him a napkin, belatedly realizing that I used both my hands, and caused the mop I was holding to fall--into him.
"No! No! Wait!" I shouted, throwing the napkin I already had in the air to save the mop from hitting him.

But I was too late. I couldn't reach it in time. I closed my eyes.
