“Well what?” Jerry said, slumping on the seat beside Vanness at the table.
“She didn’t accept your apology?” Vanness asked.
“I didn’t get to give it. She’d left,” he said.
“And you didn’t follow her?” Vic asked, raising his eyebrows.
“Am I supposed to?” Jerry asked, looking from one friend to another.
“I thought you said you liked her,” Ken said.
“I do,” Jerry replied.
“And you said you were disappointed that your date got cancelled,” Vanness said.
“I am,” he told them.
“Then what are you still doing here?!” the F3 asked at the same time.
Jerry was taken aback. Were they ganging up against him? “She’s never going to accept my apology now, it’s too late.”
“Are you serious?” Ken asked. “It’s never too late to give an apology.”
“Especially to a girl as pretty as that,” Vanness added.
“Besides, it’s not midnight yet,” Vic suddenly said.
The F3 looked at him with puzzled expressions.
“So what if it’s not yet midnight?” Jerry asked.
“So…” Vic started. “I know what you can say so that she’s sure to accept your apology.”
