Chapter 1

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

....:::::AGATHA POV:::::......

At my house inside the living room:..

"Oh goodness. I'm so bored to death." That was my complain the day after the school grad. I missed school - my friends and all the laughter we had. Tsch.. now I had to stay with this little bug of mine. No actually.. it's my younger brother, Eric.

"Hey! Go cook some food I'm really hungry!" Eric yelled, as if I was his maid.

"Shut your mouth! Don't you yell at me like that!"

"Well right now I pretty much am. Since you have to take care of me," he smirked and stuck his tongue out.

"Why you-" I took a broom stick and chased him around the house. "You're dead Eric!"
I was running towards his bedroom when marbles came rolling out of his bedroom. Unfortunately, I stepped on them. As you can already guess, my bum landed on the carpet floor.

"ARRAY!!" I shouted and started rubbing my poor bum.

Eric burst out laughing. He jumped up and down like a kangaroo while pointing at me. It was my perfect chance! I then stood up and whacked his bum with the broom.

"ARRAY! You're so mean! I'm telling mom!" He began to cry and ran inside his room.

So what if he tells mom. He started it... no. Why would I blame such a stupid thing to him? And goodness I'm already old and I still fight back with a little boy. But still! He hurt me first! I thought to myself.

Still rubbing my bum, I walked to the kitchen and began frying eggs for Eric and I to eat.

...:::::::DENZEL POV::::::.......
..::Drawing under a tree outside his grandma's house (Kinda like a farm)::..

~*PlooP - Bird dropping landed on my drawing.

I just sighed and crumpled the paper I was drawing on. I flipped another page when...

~*PlooP - Bird dropping landed on my drawing, again.

Good thing I don't get mad easily or I might've done something to that bird, wherever it was. "I wonder if there's anyone out there who's similar to me," I said as I stood up to take a walk around my grandma's field.

I smiled as I enjoyed the sounds of the insects, the chirping of the birds, and the blue sky. But that didn't last very long. Something made my smile stop. That is the sight of a dead deer across the street.

I walked closer to it, but not less than foot close. I could smell it's horrible odor, and I could see the flies all around it. It was just a sad thing that people would drive over it.

"Denzeru! Denzeru!" called my mom with her Japanese way of talking.

"I'm coming," I shouted with a wave.

"Go get your stuff now, we still have to box our stuff!"

That made me remember. We had to move to a different city. Well, the city where I grew up till six years old. I remembered I went to one of the schools there. And I could never forget being mistaken as a girl, even though I used boy clothes.

I grabbed my stuff from my grandma's house and went home. Then, my family started packing and boxed our stuff for the move.

"Mom, why do we have to move to Winnipeg?" I asked as I nibbled on a cookie.

"Well honey, all of us were born in that city. Your dad and I miss our friends and relatives. Also, many people are needing our help there." My mom replied and finished taping a box.

"Don't you want to spend some time living there now that you're older?" My dad asked and patted me on the back.

I just nodded. I didn't have that much friends in Calgary anyway. But I will surely miss my grandma.

"Well get ready. We have a long road trip tomorrow."

....:::::NEIL POV:::::.....

*Flashback WHEN HE WAS ONLY SEVEN*

It was a dark evening around the middle of May. I had my big headphones on while listening to my CD player, when I suddenly heard a hard bang on my bedroom wall.

"YOU HAVEN'T PAID YOUR DEBT SINCE TWO MONTHS AGO!" the apartment owner yelled at my brother.

"We're sorry Mr. Kim. We're still struggling with our jobs," my sister explained.

"Tsch. Struggling my butt. Let me take your brother then, and everything will be free for you."

My brother and my sister looked at each other and shook their heads.

"We won't let you take our brother," my sister said angrily.

"Don't give me that angry look! Do you want me to shoo you off this apartment?"

The volume on my CD was already at its loudest, but I could still hear their talking. I got irritated and turned it off.

"Then let me take your brother!" The apartment owner tried to open my bedroom door, but it was locked.

"What in the world is this guy up to?" I said to myself and opened the door.

"NO!" my sister and brother said in unison.

The apartment owner grabbed my arm and started pulling me.

"Hey! Let go of me!" I shouted as I pulled myself away from the owner. I then bit his arm, and I got away.

"OWW! You fngk punk! All of you should suffer! I'll be back to give you your punishment." The owner walked away with great anger.

"Neil, leave now! Run as far as you can go. Don't let them catch you." My sister said and pushed me outside the door.

"Sis-" I cried and knocked on the door a few times. Then I heard low voices that sounded like the mean owner and his people. I then used the fire exit door to go outside. When I stepped outside the building,I heard my sister and my brother scream. I felt that they were getting beaten up really bad.

"Look for the kid!" I heard the apartment owner command.

I ran as fast as I could to get away from the apartment and his men. After a while of running, and not knowing where I was, I stopped and sat under a tree.

Then I heard footsteps coming towards me. There were hardly any lights around, so I wasn't able to see around me.

"Come with me," a soft-sounding man said and grabbed my arm. A little kid I was, so I didn't know very well how bad it is to go with a stranger. We rode a train illegally and after hours of traveling, we stopped somewhere I had no idea of.

"Just stick with me and you'll be fine," the man assured.

I walked behind him until we got to an abandoned looking house. "Where are we?" I asked.

A group of gangster looking men walked towards me and the man.

"Welcome to the gang," the man said to me. The other men smiled, revealing their yellowish teeth. Some of them hardly had any teeth.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

After that long nine years of living a dangerous life, fighting against other gangs because of wanting money, I was lucky I was still alive. I was counted as one of the strongest weapon in the gang, the gang who I called my family. They fed me and made me strong. I cared no more about who I was in the past, the only thing I care about now is winning. In every fight I was in, I never gave up even though I ended with many bruises and bones that were almost broken.
