Outside the restaurant Sunny and Nick walked outside only to be mobbed by a group of fans asking for autographs. Sunny tried hard to cover Nick as they pushed the crowd apologizing for the rush time. Nick's driver was smart as he pulled up with the Lincoln and opened the door for Nick and Sunny.
When they were safe in the car, Sunny sighed "Gosh, how do you do it?" he was out of breath.
Nick laughed "You get use to it." he smiled at his high school friend "Its been a long time hasn't it Sunny?"
Sunny nodded "Too long, I was sure you wouldn't remember me."
"I remember every friend I have. So, what is your relationship with Amy?" he came straight to the point.
Sunny shrugged "A stranger, but I just felt like helping her."
Nick nodded with understanding "I know what you mean. She looked very sincere."
The two reminiced on the old times as they drove off to a secluded area by the beach where they met up with Amy. She was nervous as can be, afraid for her job. When Sunny and Nick got out of the car, her face instantly lit up. She ran to them happily. Sunny put up his hand for her not to say anything. "Let's go in my apartment first." Sunny took them into his apartment overlooking the beach.
"I don't know how to thank you guys. You saved my life!" Amy gushed.
Nick was curious "Why do you say that? You're not even getting paid to do this?"
She smiled weakly "You don't understand, I live a very humble life. My parents doesn't make much money and my sister is too young to start working. I'm actually a waitress at night, I got an internship in the Starz magazine because it will pay more if I get a job."
Sunny sighed "Not everyone has it good as you, Nick." he patted his friend on the shoulder "That's why I decided to help her."
"You two know each other?" Amy asked.
They nodded "High school buddies." Nick replied. He gave his watch a quick glance.
"You busy?" Sunny asked. Nick nodded without an answer "Well, don't let us keep you." he pushed him out the door as Amy followed close behind. Sunny watched Nick get in the car safely before turning to Amy. "Its getting late, don't you have to go home for dinner?"
Amy nodded "I don't know how to thank you." she said sincerely as he handed her the film.
"Well, you can start by not being so grandma like. You've said thank you too many times already." Sunny teased. "Come on, I'll take you home."

At the restaurant, Allison's heart would thump each time the doors would open. She had a strange feeling that Sunny was going to drop by. Although she didn't know how she would react.
Time dragged by slowly as she worked like a zombie for the rest of the night. When it was finally time to leave, she gave her co-workers a quick wave before leaving for home.
In a few minutes, there was a knock on the door of the restaurant. Richard figured it was Allison since she forgot her bag at the hostess counter. Instead he found Sunny. "Hi, I...is Allison here?" he stuttered.
Richard shook his head "She just left a few minutes ago."
Sunny nodded "Thanks." he turned to leave and came eye to eye with Allison. Time almost seem to freeze at that moment as their eyes locked for the first time since Hawaii. "Hi." he broke the ice.
Allison smiled "Hi."
Richard caught the tension as he handed her the purse "Here Allie."
"Thanks." she nodded to Richard.
"Want to go for a walk?" Sunny blurted.
Richard notice the hesitant look on Allie's face but he sense they would have things to talk about "No, but maybe Allie would want to go." he made light of the situation for both of them. With that, he closed the door giving them privacy.
The streets were fully litted but the crowd was beginning to die down. "So, how have you been?" Sunny asked. He couldn't understand why there would be an awkwardness between them. They got along so well in Hawaii.
"Good." she replied shortly.
"I didn't know you were a waitress?" he made it sound as casual as possible.
Allison nodded without looking up from the ground "Sorry, I know I shouldn't be embarrass about it, but I am. I guess I'm ashamed about not finishing school."
"Why should you be? I think it's great that you work and support yourself. You go to school to find a good job, if you have one, why do you need to go to school? There are not that many strong girls out there. Look at Josie! If it wasn't for me, you think she would actually work?"
The name Josie brought a smile to her face "How is she, by the way?"
"Bored and driving me crazy!"
Allison laughed comfortably "I can imagine. She has a very short attention span." suddenly she remembered what she wanted to ask him as she stopped in her tracks "What brings you here anyway?"
Sunny smiled "Fate."
Allison rolled her eyes as she continued to walk "Oh no, here we go again."
He laughed as he jogged to catch up with her "What does that suppose to mean?" he was almost offended.
She shrugged her slim shoulders "That you're crazy for believing it."
He stepped ahead of her so he could be in front of her. His eyes digging into her own "I'm serious Allie. My restuarant burned down from a gas leak. It happened about three weeks after you left, I was thinking of you that night and wanted to see you...then bam it happened. Don't tell me you think it's a coincidence."
Allison had chills from what he said but she still couldn't believe such a thing existed "Coincidences do happen, Sunny." she urged.
He nodded "I don't deny that, but why would it happen when I wanted to see you and not a week ago or a month later, why then at that time?"
She smiled with her head shaking back and forth "You believe what you want to believe." she walked around him and continued on her way. He quickly came into pace with her "You're very unique, you know that?" she said after a moment.
"Is that good or bad?" he asked with the same smile that she remembered so clearly.
She seemed to be deep in thought "I don't know..." she was confused herself, not sure what to think of them. "I think we're both very different people."
He nodded "Opposites attract."
"I think a person's future is determined by them, not by what is written in the books from God." she said.
"There are too many strange 'coincidences', as you want to call them, to say that it's not fate."
She laughed "You do have an answer for everything don't you?" he nodded "This conversation is going no where." she stopped again.
He looked back and gave her a strange look "Why did you stop?" he titled his head "If you don't want to hear it, I won't go on. How about that?"
She smiled and nodded her head to the apartment complex above her. "My home." she said softly.
Sunny nodded "Oh..well, it was nice seeing you again." he gave her a hug and watched her go inside the building safely.

The next morning Allie woke up with a bad cold, she couldn't even get out of bed without feeling dizzy. She eventually called in sick.
At the restaurant, Josh delivered the products personally in hopes to run into Allison. He was so busy looking around for her that he didn't see the girl walking by as the box tipped over and hit the girl, luckily he caught it before it landed on her.
"Watch where you're going!" the girl cried with annoyance.
"Sorry, miss." Josh placed the box on the ground to look at the girl.
"Maybe you should use your eyes to look instead of checking out girls." the girl quipped as she got up and brushed off her jeans.
"Look, I already said sorry, what more do you want?" Josh was a little frustrated with this girl.
Josie snickered "You were the one the bumped into me, don't give an attitude you delivery boy."
Josh arched his ear "What did you call me?"
"I said you're just a delivery boy, shouldn't you be going from the back?" she pointed towards the back of the restaurant.
He placed his arms on his hips "I like to go to the front, you got a problem with that?" he took an index finger and pushed at her forehead.
"Don't touch me!" Josie screeched.
"I like to, what are you going to do about it?" he continued to do just that.
She was so annoyed at she pushed him away and screamed at the top of her lungs causing an obvious crowd.
Sunny was taking his walk to the restaurant to see Allison but heard a familiar shriek. He ran to the crowd and found Josie at the top of her lungs with her eyes closed, the guy she was screaming at had his ears covered. Sunny sighed as he covered Josie's mouth "You are causing a scene!" he hissed at her.
Josie was happy to see him as she linked her arms through Sunny's and gave her head a little flick at Josh's direction before walking off with her frined. "Freak..." Josh muttered under his breath.
