Chapter 19

Routine

The following days fall back into normal routine at Constant Comfort. Ms. Yeung had already taken care of the whole elevator situation. Charmaine and Mandy seem to get along very well with their neighbors. Their daily work lives also go back to stability after all the move and then some.

Charmaine, Mandy, Kevin, and Ray tag a ride with Wallace and Jessica or haul a Taxi and split the fees until the end of the week when Charmaine finally gets her car back. Ray’s car still needs major work since it’s getting quite old now.

Wallace, on the other hand, keeps at top pace during work, trying to get out of Mr. Zhao’s hair. He and Cyndi meet for lunch every day but still keep their date on Saturday like they planned.

Alice’s going to different places for interviews but still find no luck yet. However, she doesn’t give up and does quite a few articles on unique dishes or other special recipes that she found while walking around different restaurants or small shops at street corners.

That weekend, they all have plans so they don’t have time to spend it together. That also means that Ray’s earlier suggestion about a weekend picnic is out the window.
